If a Person is Exposed, It’s not his First Sin
Anas b. Mālik reports:
A young man who had stolen was brought to ʿUmar (for punishment). He said, “By Allāh I have never stolen before this time.” So ʿUmar responded, “You lie, Allāh would not (or does not) surrender a servant of His on the first sin.”

‼️Publicizing one's good deeds🧐
▪️Some people go around intentionally talking about the things they have done, boasting about their virtues. They cannot sit with others without saying: “I did this and I did that… I spent so much in charity.” Sometimes they can be a bit more subtle, saying things like : “Actually, I cannot stay up in prayer at night more than two hours…” or: “Unfortunately, I cannot cope with fasting every day, so I must suffice with fasting on Mondays and Thursdays…” In this way, they want to show others just how much they are praying and fasting.

👉🏼 How amazing is your affair O you the one who has certainty about an affair, but then you forget about it.
👉🏼The harm of the state of affairs is real, but you are unconscious of it!
👉🏼You fear the people, whilst Allaah is more worthy of being feared!
👉🏼You are overwhelmed by what you presume and not by what you are certain of.
👉🏼And among the most amazing of affairs is your happiness with beguilement and forgetfulness in amusement in that which will come to an end.
👉🏼You are deceived by your health and forgetful of the approach of illness.
👉🏼You rejoice with your well-being and are heedless of the close approach of agony.
👉🏼Indeed, the death of other than yourself should show you your death and the death bed of other than yourself has been made visible before (your)death.
👉🏼Indeed you are pre-occupied with your inclination towards pleasures (i.e. forbidden ones) and (diverted) from remembrance of the destruction of yourself. It is as if you have not heard of the news about those who have passed away and that you have not seen what time has done to those who have remained.
👉🏼And if you do not know, then those are their dwelling places and graves before you, destroyed by the winds.
Ibn al-Jawzi رحمه الله

SINS INHERIT HUMILIATION
Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah (may Allāh have mercy on him) said:
Indeed the SINS inherit HUMILIATION and from the du'ā of some of the Salaf was:
اللهم أعزني بطاعتك ولا تذلني بمعصيتك
O Allāh honour me with obedience to You, and do not humiliate me with disobedience to You.

Advice of Shaykh al-Albani to Students of Knowledge!! (Must Read)
al-Albaanee:
"The Prophet, sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, has gathered the comprehensive and abundant good manners in his saying: "He is not from us who doesn't have mercy for our young, and respects our old and knows the right of our scholar."."
(Fataawaa of al-Albaanee, p.71, Silsilat Al-Ahadeeth As-Saheehah (no. 358))
“Neither is it allowed to speak like the scholars do, this means that you are showing off.”
(Silsila al-Huda wan Noor 191)
"I have noticed how people who ascribe to our Da'wah become a bit fond of themselves and self-deceived after a while. After they've read a book, you see how they become independent.."
(Silsila al-Huda wan Noor 256)
"The Majority of the students of today give Fataawaa in ignorance. They are fond of themselves, they think knowledge is an easy question. They think just because they have memorized some Hadeeth, or read some book, that they have all of the worlds (containing) knowledge. However, the great Imaams used to refer to others because of the great responsibility an answer consist of.”
(Silsila al-Huda wan Noor 257)
"The Salafiyyah of today is tumultuous. The reason for this is because many youth are quick to ascribe themselves 'ilm. They dare to give Fataawaa and explain certain things to be Halaal and Haraam before they even can read a Qur'aanic verse or a Hadeeth correctly."
(Silsilat ul-Hudâ wan-Noor (188))
"An unlearned who answers questions cant only say "Its allowed" or "Not", rather he must mention the scholar who says it."
(Silsila al-Huda wan Noor 333)
