The MESSENGER of ALLĀH ﷺ said: “The Qur’ān is an intercessor ennoscriptd with intercession (for its reciters) and it is an entrusted disputer (against those who neglect it), whoever places it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise and whoever puts it behind him, it will lead him to the Hellfire.”

📌 One of the remedies for 'Riyaa' (showing off/wanting to be seen whilst doing something good)

"If you notice in yourself 'riyaa' then increase doing worship in secret, not being seen by the people."

📎 Then the sheikh gave examples like praying or reading Quran at night when everyone is asleep or giving money in charity via your bank account as no one will know or see you doing such.

Sound Advice From ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab (May Allah be pleased with him)

‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab once said to Al-Ahnaf Ibn Qais:

“O Ahnaf, the more one laughs, the less dignity will he posses. Whoever jokes (excessively or indecently) is a person who will be taken lightly. Whoever does something frequently will become known by that thing.

Whoever speaks often, errs often; the more often one errs, the less modesty will he possess; whoever has a low level of modesty will also have a low level of piety; and when one has a low level of piety, then his heart dies.”

The texts of the Bible are in conformity with the fact that Jesus was a servant and messenger of Allah - Shaykh Rabee

https://abdurrahman.org/2016/05/18/examples-from-gospels-conformiing-the-fact-that-jesus-was-a-servant-and-messenger-of-allah/

O Jesus, son of Mary, did you tell the people: ‘Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allaah?’ He will reply: ‘Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right to say. If I had said such a thing, You would have surely known about it. You know what is in my inner self though I do not know what is in Your Self. Truly, only You are the All-Knowing of all that is hidden. I did not tell them anything except for what You commanded me to tell them, (which was): Worship Allaah, my Lord and your Lord. And I served as a witness for them for as long as I was with them. But when You took me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things.’” [Qur’aan 5:116-117]
|| • The Blowing of the Sur and the Day of Resurrection! • Sur - is a huge horn that has a circumference as large as the heavens and the earth! ||
"'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As said: "A Bedouin came to the Prophet (sallallahu 'alayhi wasllam) and said: 'What is the Sur?' He said: 'A horn that will be blown into'" (Sahih) [Jami` at-Tirmidhi] It has been related in a Hadith about the Sur, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that it is a huge horn that has a circumference as large as the heavens and the earth. The angel Israfil will blow into it. Another Hadith has been related which states that the Prophet (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) said, (How can I be comfortable when the one with the horn is holding it in his lips and his forehead is leaning forward, waiting to be given permission (to blow it).)
The people said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should we say''
He (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) said, «قُولُوا: حَسْبُنَا اللهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ عَلَى اللهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا» (Say: Allah is sufficient for us and what a good protector He is. Upon Allah we place our trust.)

🔹Guidance From the Salaf on Patience and Complaining About Calamities

Al-Dhahabi brings in al-Siyar, the following narrations demonstrating patience in the face of calamity and not complaining:

Shaqiq al-Balkhee said, "Whoever complained of a calamity to other than Allaah, he will not find the sweetness of obedience" (9/315). Hamdoon al-Qassaar said, "No one despairs from a calamity except one who suspects His Lord" (13/51). Mugheerah said, "The eye of al-Ahnaf was lost, and al-Ahnaf said, 'I lost it forty years ago and I have not complained to a single person'." (4/92). Al-Asma'ee said, "al-Fudayl saw a man complaining to another so he said, 'O So and so! Are you complaining about the one who shows you mercy (Allaah) to one who does not show you mercy (man)'." (8/439)

YOU SHOULD NOT MISS FAJR PRAYER

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen Rahimahullah explains the hadith,

"Whoever prays fajr is under the protection of Allah":

ﻋﻦ ﺟﻨﺪﺏ ﺑﻦ ﻋﺒﺪﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺭﺿﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻨﻪ ﻗﺎﻝ : ﻗﺎﻝ ﺭﺳﻮﻝ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ :

ﺭﻭﻯ ﻣﺴﻠﻢ ‏657

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen may Allaah have mercy on him said:

“This indicates that it is obligatory to respect the Muslims who affirm their Islam by praying Fajr, because no one offers Fajr prayer but a believer. And it is not permissible for anyone to transgress against them”.

Hearts Devoid of Love of Allaah Become Infatuated With Images – By Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah]

🖋Written by Jallow Abdullah.

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim [rahimahullaah] said: Hearts that are emptied of Love for Allaah -hearts that are turned away from Him and seeking remedy from others besides Him- are afflicted with an uncontrolled love of images; for when the heart is filled with Love of Allaah and a strong love for meeting Him [i.e. in the hereafter], the uncontrolled love for images is repelled from it. And for this reason, Allaah [The Most High] stated about Yusuf [alayhis-salaam]:

كَذَٰلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ السُّوءَ وَالْفَحْشَاءَ ۚ إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُخْلَصِينَ

Thus it was, that We might turn away from him evil and illegal sexual intercourse. Surely, he was one of Our chosen, guided slaves. [Soorah Yusuf: Ayah: 24]

This shows that sincerity to [Allaah] is a means to repelling [evil]. Therefore, repelling the original cause of something is repels the cause of that thing. And because of this, some of the Salaf said: ‘’Uncontrolled love is an agitation in empty hearts.” Meaning: [Hearts] emptied of other than what they crave for.

[Q]: Who do we take knowledge and fatāwá from? What are the qualities of the people of knowledge and al-Iftāʾ(i.e. Those who are able to give verdicts)?

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān: Knowledge is taken from the scholars, either in the mosques if they are in the mosques, or in an organised curriculum in the schools, institutes or colleges. Knowledge is taken from the scholars; it is not taken from the ignorant nor from papers or broadly looking into books. This is not [the way to] seek knowledge, because perhaps it may bring about other than that which was intended or perhaps you may understand wrongly. You might read from a book which comprises of doubts and evils, and this will contaminate your way of thinking.

So upon you is to constantly and continuously connect with the scholars in the mosques, schools and conferences of knowledge. Likewise, those whom verdicts are taken from are known amongst the people. The general verdicts are directed to The Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Fatāwá. As for personal verdicts, they are taken from the one in whom you have confidence in his knowledge and religion.
