Rabee Bin Khuthaym (rahimahullaah) used to say:
”There is no good in speech except in nine(affairs):

Abu az-Zubayr said I heard Jabir bin Abdullaah saying that he heard the Prophet –sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam– saying:
‘If one of you eats and a morsel of food falls from his hand then he should wipe off what he sees from it and eat it.
He should not leave it for the Shaytaan and he should not wipe his hand with a napkin until he licks his hand, since a person does not know which part of the food that Allaah has blessed. The Shaytaan lies in wait for the people -or for a person- for everything even upon the place at which he eats or his food.
The dish should not be taken away until he licks it or has it licked, since indeed in the last part of the food there is blessings.’
[Collected by Ibn Hibban and al-Bayhaqi & Albaani graded it as Hasan in Saheehah no. 1404]

The Reality of Dhikr and Fear of Allah
It is reported that Saʿīd b. Jubayr – Allāh have mercy on him – said:
Verily, fear (al-khashyah) is that you fear Allāh such that your fear comes between you and your disobedience (of Allāh). That is khashyah. And dhikr (remembrance) is obedience to Allāh: whoever obeys Allāh has remembered Him; and whoever does not obey Him is not a rememberer of Him, even if he says a lot of tasbīḥ and recites a lot of Qurān.
Al-Dhahabī, Siyar ʾAʿlām Al-Nubalāʾ 4:326.

Imam Ibn Al Qayyim said:
The believer who is sincere to Allah is the one who will be the best among the people in terms of living, the most blessed in terms of his mind, and the most expansive of them in his chest, and the happiest of them in his heart,
And (being in) this (state) is the early Jannah before the Jannah that comes later.

🔹How did the Prophet eat?
The Prophet said: I eat as a slave eats, and I sit as a slave sits. Since indeed I’m a slave.
Source: Sahih al-Jami (no. 8)
Ibn al-Qayyim: The Prophet used to sit on his feet while eating.
He used to place his knees on the ground and would place the bottom of his left foot on the upper part of his right foot in humility for the Lord, and in respect for the food and for those present.
This is the best way to sit for eating, because the organs of the body will be in their proper position along with observing good manners.

Importance of Surat Al-Fātiḥah.
It was narrated from Abu Saeed al-Khudri that the Prophet ﷺ described Surah Al-Fātiḥah as a ruqyah, and he approved of the ṣaḥābī who recited it as a ruqyah for the one who had been stung by a scorpion.
● [صحيح البخاري ٦٥١٢، صحيح مسلم ١٠٢٢]
Imām Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: 'About reciting Surat Al-Fātiḥah:
“There was a time when I fell sick in Makkah, and I could not find a doctor or any medicine, so I treated myself by reciting it. I would take some Zamzam water and recite it over it several times, then drink it. I recovered fully by these means, then I began to do that whenever I felt alot of pain, and I benefited greatly from it.”

No one has the power to avoid death, nor does anyone around the dying person have the ability to prevent it. It happens every moment to the old, the young, the rich, the poor, the strong, the weak, the righteous and the wicked etc

People die every day, but when someone beloved and well-known to us dies, the shortness of this worldly life becomes a more manifest reality. Therefore, let us aid one another upon righteous deeds, truthfulness etc

One should not be distracted by the life expectancy in the wealthy nations, rather we should prepare for death everyday. It comes to a household & takes away the youngest and healthiest person, and spares the sick & elderly.

On the authority of Usamah ibn Zayd (radhyAllahu ‘anhu) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu ‘alaihi wasallam) saying:
"A man will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and thrown into the Fire. His intestines will be hanging out, spilling onto the ground, and he will go around like a donkey goes around a millstone. The inhabitants of the Fire will gather around him and say: "O so and so! What is your affair? Didn't you used to order us to do good deeds and forbid us from doing bad deeds?" He will reply, "Yes I used to order you to do good deeds, but I did not do them myself, and I used to forbid you from doing bad deeds, yet I used to do them myself".

“Whoever shows off, Allaah will expose him.”
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6134; Muslim; 2986).
Ibn Hajar (R) stated:
al-Khattaabi said, this means: whoever does something that is not sincerely for the sake of Allaah, merely wanting people to see him and hear him, will be punished for that – Allaah will expose him and make known what he is concealing.
It was said that whoever does something with the intention of gaining status and prestige among people, and does not seek the Face of Allaah by doing it, Allaah will make him the subject of bad speech among the people in whose eyes he wanted to gain status, and he will have no reward for it in the Hereafter.
