#Hijama is linguistically derived from the word “Hajm” which gives the meaning sucking and known in English as #Cupping_Therapy.
Hijama (Cupping Therapy) is among the #Prophetic_Medicines where the Prophet SallallahuAlaihiWasallam mentioned it as
“If there is any good in any of the remedies you use, it is in cupping.”
(760, Silsilathus Sahihah of Al-Albani )
And He SallallahuAlaihiWasallam further said
“I did not pass the night of Isra by the angels except they said ‘O Muhammed, order your nation with cupping.”
(2802, Sahih Sunan Ibn Majah of Al-Albani)
Which shows the importance and the virtue of this #medication which the Prophet SallallahuAlaihiWasallam practiced during his lifetime.
And he SallallahuAlaihiWasallam said
Whoever cups on the Seventeenth, Nineteenth or Twenty First, it will be a cure from all the diseases.
(Silsilathus Sahihah of Al-Albani 622)
And also he SallallahuAlaihiWasallam ordered to avoid doing it on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as in the Hadith
‘Cupping on an empty stomach is better, and in it there is healing and blessing, and it increases one’s intellect and memory. So have yourselves cupped for the blessing of Allah on Thursdays, and avoid cupping on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Have yourselves cupped on Mondays and Tuesdays, for that is the day on which Allah relieved Ayyub of Calamity, and He inflicted calamity upon him on a Wednesday, and leprosy and leucoderma only appear on Wednesdays, or on the night of Wednesday.”
(3169, Sahih Al-Jami’ of Al-Albani)
Hijama (Cupping) is the process of applying cups to the essential points on the body removing the air around making it a vacuum.
From among the most common three methods are Wet, Dry and Dry Massage.
Wet Cupping (Hijama) – is the process where small incisions are made on that certain points on the skin to remove the ‘impure/harmful’ blood which lies just beneath the surface of the skin. And this is the highly recommended method in terms of following the Sunnah and where the cure is as per the Hadith
“the cure is in three things ‘drinking of honey, cuts of the cupping’…”
(5680, Sahih Al-Bukhari)
Dry Cupping (Hijama) – is the process just to gather the blood on that certain points without incisions.
Dry Massage Cupping (Hijama) – is the process similar to Dry Cupping but olive oil is applied pre-hand before it is cupped to massage with the movement of the cups.
As for Dry Cupping and Dry Massage cupping, they fall under the general mode and can be practised on any day at any time, there are no restrictions as the wet cupping is the one known to be among the Sunnah and which falls under the restrictions.

From Anas – RadhiAllaahu anhu –
who said:
‘A Bedouin came to the Prophet – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – and said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah! Teach me some goodness.’
So the Prophet – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – took him by the hand and said:
” قل: سبحان الله، والحمد لله، ولا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر.
‘Say: ‘Far is Allaah from imperfection, and all praise be to Allaah, and there is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah, and Allaah is the Greatest.’
(Subhana Allaahi, wal hamdu lillaahi, wa la illaah ila Allaah, wa Allaahu Akbar.)’
The Bedouin counted them on his hand, when he finished he began to reflect then came back to the Prophet.
The Prophet – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – smiled and said:
‘The desperate one has reflected.’
Then the Bedouin came and said:
‘O Messenger of Allaah! ‘Far is Allaah from imperfection, and all praise be to Allaah, and there is none worthy of worship in truth except Allaah, and Allaah is the Greatest.’ This is for Allaah, what is for me?’
The Prophet – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – said:
اللهم اغفر لي وارحمني وعافني وارزقني واهدني
‘Say: O Allaah forgive me, and have mercy on me, and pardon me, and provide for me, and guide me.’
The Prophet – sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – said to him:
‘O Bedouin! If you say: ‘SubhanAllah’, Allaah says: ‘you have spoken the truth,
If you say: ‘Alhamdulillah’, Allaah says: ‘ you have spoken the truth,
If you say: ‘La ilaha ‘illa Allaah’, Allaah says: ‘you have spoken the truth,
If you say: Allaahu Akbar, Allaah says: ‘you have spoken the truth,
If you say: O Allaah forgive me, Allaah says: I have done so,
If you say: O Allaah have mercy on me, Allaah says: I have done so,
If you say: O Allaah give me provision, Allaah says: I have done so,
Then the Bedouin counted it seven times on his fingers, then went away.’
Shaykh al-Muhaddith al-Albaani -Rahimullaah – said :
Collected by al-Bayhaqi in ‘Shuab al-Eemaan’, and this Isnaad is Jayyid (good) its narrators are trustworthy as for al-Hasan bin Tawab; then I had become exhausted searching about him until I found who he was. So I performed a Sajdah to Allaah thankful for His success and I ask Him for an increase in His excellence.’

...The danger of Speaking without Knowledge.

“Know that not everyone is suitable to be your friend. You must verify that this potential friend has the neccessary characteristics that make friendship with him something to be desired. The one you seek to befriend must have five characteristics:
He must be intelligent, as there is no good in befriending an idiot, as he will only harm you when he wants to benefit you. By intelligent, we mean one who understands things as they are, either on his own, or if they are explained to him;
He must have good manners, and this is a must. One who is simply intelligent might be overcome by anger or desire, and obey his desire. Thus, there would be no benefit in befriending him;
He must not be a fasiq, as such a person would not fear Allah, and whoever does not fear Allah cannot be trusted;
He must not be an innovator, as his abundance of innovation is feared from befriending him;
He should not be eager for the dunya.”
