Qataadah (rahimahullaah) said:
"Indeed this Qur'aan shows you your diseases and your remedies. As for your diseases it is your sins. And as for your remedies, its is seeking forgiveness."

[Jaami-ul Uloom wal-Hikam 415]
"If you see yourself deteriorate, pick yourself up by repenting and seeking Allaah’s forgiveness and by asking Him to keep you firm.

And don’t become careless, and neither say: “In shaa Allaah, my eemaan will become stronger” (without doing anything about it). Instead from right now — from the moment you feel that you are ill — you must implement the cure."

— Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn, Tafsīr Sūrah an-Nisā (v. 2, p. 53)
It Is Forbidden For Women To Beautify Themselves For The MosqueQuestion:

What is the ruling on women beautifying and perfuming themselves for the taraweeh prayer believing that to be an implementation of the statement of Allaah: "And take your adornment (adorn yourselves) in every masjid.." (Al-A'raaf:31).Answer:

The Prophet, salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, allowed the women to go to the Mosques at 'Eeshaa time under the condition they go whilst adequately dressed - meaning, clothing that is not eye-catching or draws the attention [of people] and they are not perfumed.

Abu Hurayrah, radhi Allaahu 'anhu, said: Indeed the Prophet, salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, said: "Any woman who leaves [her dwelling] perfumed, [seeking] that the men smell her, is a fornicator."

Translator's note: A'isha, radhi Allaahu 'anhaa, narrated: Allaah's Messenger, salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, used to offer the fajr prayer and some of the believing women, covered with their veiling sheets, used to attend the fajr prayer with him, and they would return to their homes unrecognised. Shaikh al-Uthaimeen, may Allaah have mercy on him, said,

“The greatest calamity is from an ignorant person who has compound ignorance, who argues with you without knowledge, speaks without knowledge, speaks to the common folk without knowledge, speaks to the scholars without knowledge and in an argumentative manner, and when you discuss something with him, he is the most ignorant of Allaah’s slaves.”

Whilst social media has halted our ability to sleep.... may Allah make us people of Qur'an

Wuhayb ibn Al-Ward said: “It was said to a man: ‘Do you not sleep?’ He said: ‘The amazingness of the Qur’aan has halted my ability to sleep.’”

The #Superiority of the Mother Over the Father
Translated by: Abbas Abu Yahya

From al-Hasan that a man said to him: Indeed I made Hajj and indeed my mother has given me permission to perform another Hajj.’ So al-Hasan said: ‘To sit with her at her table is more beloved to me than your Hajj

[i.e. optional Hajj]. [Collected in ‘Mukarim al-Akhlaaq’ p.227, taken from ‘Akhbar as-Salaf’ p.270]

"The trials are like the flood no one may survive except if those who hold upon the Sunnah, and you cannot hold upon the Sunnah unless you learn it."

Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān [حفظه الله] said:

"The individuals who ascribe themselves to [giving] Da'wah, it is mandatory that they be investigated:
• Where did they study?
• Where did they take knowledge from?
• Where were they reared?
• What are their beliefs?
• Their actions must be investigated, their effects upon the people, along with what good they have brought about.
• What rectification has their actions produced?

Their affairs must be investigated before [the people] are misled by their statements and what is apparent from them. This investigation is mandatory, especially during the present time in which the callers of Fitnah are many."

''THE DISTANCE BETWEEN EARTH AND HEAVEN IS 500 YEARS...''!

It is narrated from Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib رضي الله عنه that Allaah's Messenger ﷺ said:

"Do you know how much the distance between earth and heaven is?" We said, "Allaah and His Messenger know better." Then he (ﷺ) said, "The distance between them is 500 years, and the distance between one heaven to the next is 500 years, and the dimension of each heaven will take 500 years to travel, and there is a sea between the seventh heaven and the Throne which has between its lowest and highest ends the distance like that between the heavens and the earth (i.e. 500 years). And Allaah the Most Exalted is above that and nothing is secret from Him of the deeds of Bani Adam (humankind)." [Reported by Abu Dawud and others.]
