Risking your religion through Argumentation
Ma’n b. ‘Îsâ reports
Mâlik b. Anas was once returning from the mosque, leaning on my arm, when a man called Abû Al-Juwayrîyah who was accused of Al-Irjâ` caught up with him. He said. “O Abû ‘Abdullâh, listen to something I have to say and debate with me and let me tell you my opinion.” [Imâm] Mâlik said, “And what if you overcome me?” The man replied, “If I defeat you, you follow me.” Mâlik asked, “And what if another man comes and defeats us?” He replied, “Then we follow him.” To this, Mâlik – Allâh’s mercy be upon him – said, “O servant of Allâh, Allâh sent Muhammad – Allâh’s peace and blessings be upon him – with a single religion, but I see you moving from religion to religion. ‘Umar b. ‘Abd Al-‘Azîz said, ‘Whoever makes his religion the object of argumentation will frequently change it.’”

Using Qist alHind (Indian incense/Indian aloewood) to treat some diseases
🍄Tonsillitis
Volume 7, Book 71, Number 599:
Narrated Anas:
that he was asked about the wages of the one who cups others. He said, ‘Allah’s Apostle was cupped by Abd Taiba, to whom he gave two Sa of food and interceded for him with his masters who consequently reduced what they used to charge him daily. Then the Prophet said,
“The best medicines you may treat yourselves with are cupping and sea incense.’
He added, “You should not torture your children by treating tonsillitis by pressing the tonsils or the palate with the finger, but use incense.” (mix powdwr with oil or water and administer directly onto the tonsils InshaaAllaah)
🍄Throat trouble and Pleurisy
Volume 7, Book 71, Number 596:
Narrated Um Qais bint Mihsan:
I heard the Prophet saying, “Treat with the Indian incense, for it has healing for seven diseases; it is to be sniffed by one having throat trouble, and to be put into one side of the mouth of one suffering from pleurisy.” Once I went to Allah’s Apostle with a son of mine who would not eat any food, and the boy passed urine on him whereupon he asked for some water and sprinkled it over the place of urine.

Saying “in shaa Allah” instead of “ameen” in dua
Question:
I would like to know the details of why we must end a dua by saying “Ameen” and why we must not end it with “insha'Allah” so that way I can explain this matter to a sister who used to end her adiyaat with “insha'Allah” instead of “Ameen.”
Zaynab El-Kateb:
Saying Ameen after duaa means asking Allah to answer your dua. We do not say, “In Shaa Allah,” because this implicates that we are not desperate for Allah to respond, it does not give the meaning of affirming your needs.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, guided us to affirm the way we ask Allah by showing our dire need to His response, and never to say, “Allah forgive me if you will.”
For example: We need to say, “Allah forgive me, I cannot live without your forgiveness,” and so on.

Hadith 6: Lawful and Unlawful
An-Nu’man ibn Basheer reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Verily, the lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which many people do not know. Thus, he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, and he who falls into doubtful matters will fall into the unlawful as the shepherd who pastures near a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Verily, every king has a sanctum and the sanctum of Allah is his prohibitions. Verily, in the body there is a piece of flesh which if upright then the entire body is upright, and if corrupt then the entire body is corrupt. No doubt it is the heart.
