Saying “in shaa Allah” instead of “ameen” in dua

Question:

I would like to know the details of why we must end a dua by saying “Ameen” and why we must not end it with “insha'Allah” so that way I can explain this matter to a sister who used to end her adiyaat with “insha'Allah” instead of “Ameen.”

Zaynab El-Kateb:
Saying Ameen after duaa means asking Allah to answer your dua. We do not say, “In Shaa Allah,” because this implicates that we are not desperate for Allah to respond, it does not give the meaning of affirming your needs.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, guided us to affirm the way we ask Allah by showing our dire need to His response, and never to say, “Allah forgive me if you will.”
For example: We need to say, “Allah forgive me, I cannot live without your forgiveness,” and so on.

If Da'wah means neglecting family time, it is we who need Da'wah more than anyone else. Changing the world begins with changing ourselves.

Learn the art of saying NO. If you please everyone around, your personal life will be a complete mess.
The one who advice you, love you.
Malik bin Dinar:

❝When you see that there is hardness in your heart, weakness in your body and you have been prohibited from your provisions, then know that you have spoken about something which does not concern you.❞

[Faydh al-Qadeer, (1/286) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya]
This dua is to protect yourself from jinns and shaytans and stop shaytan from giving you waswasah in salah.

"Aoodhu billaahi as-Samee al-Aleem min ash-Shaytaanir Rajeem – min hamzihi wa nafkhihi wa nafthihi"

Translation

(I take refuge with Allaah, the All-Seeing, the All-Knowing from the accursed Shaytaan: from his madness, arrogance and poetry.)

[Saheeh Abu Daawood’ no. 701]
Hadith 6: Lawful and Unlawful

An-Nu’man ibn Basheer reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

Verily, the lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which many people do not know. Thus, he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, and he who falls into doubtful matters will fall into the unlawful as the shepherd who pastures near a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Verily, every king has a sanctum and the sanctum of Allah is his prohibitions. Verily, in the body there is a piece of flesh which if upright then the entire body is upright, and if corrupt then the entire body is corrupt. No doubt it is the heart.

Be The Key To Goodness And Not Evil 🗝

The Messenger of Allāh Ṣallallāhu-‘Alaihi Wa Sallam said:

“Indeed, from amongst mankind are those who are KEYS to GOODNESS (and) LOCKS to EVIL and indeed from amongst mankind are those who are KEYS to EVIL (and) LOCKS to GOODNESS,

So GLAD-TIDING to the one for whom Allāh has placed the keys of goodness in his hands and WOE to the one for whom Allāh has placed the keys of evil in his hands.”

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaimīn [رحمه الله] said:

Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalī ‏( ﺭﺣﻤﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ‏) :
❝Friendship does not require silence towards a mistake that a friend or brother falls into. Rather he should alert him immediately (about the mistake), such is an actual brother and a friend who is true in his friendship. As for he who remains silent, then indeed he has not recognised the obligatory right upon him towards his Muslim brothers and sisters.❞

Who Is A Friend?...
Shaykh Ibn Ghālib Al 'Umarī ( ﺣﻔﻈﻪ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ) said,

The Meaning of al-Taṣfiyah

Al-taṣfiyah, according to Shaykh Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn Al-Albānī, is “the work of returning to the pure Islām, [cleansed] of all that has entered into it [of things contrary to the Qurʾān and Sunnah].”
