Following Desires In Dunyā Leads To Punishment In Ākhirah

Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:

“The sweetness of Dunyā is the bitterness of Ākhirah and the bitterness of Dunyā is the sweetness of Ākhirah.”

● [مختصر صحيح الجامع الصغير برقم ٣١٥٥]

Translated By: Sameeullaah Sameeullaah (Aboo Maryamm)
Al-Hakeem al-Tirmidhi said:
صلاح خمسة في خمسة صلاح الصبي في المكتب وصلاح الفتى في العلم وصلاح الكهل في المسجد وصلاح المرأة في البيت وصلاح المؤذي في السجن
The rectitude of five lie in five: The rectitude of a child lies in the study-room. The rectitude of a youth lies in (seeking and acquiring) knowledge. The rectitude of the mature, middle-aged man lies in the masjid. The rectitude of a woman is in her house. And the rectitude of one who harms others is in the prison.
Al-Siyar of al-Dhahabi (13/441).
The Lawful is clear and the Unlawful is clear, but between them are certain Doubtful things

Sharh as-Sunnah : Lesson 80 : Points 140
Shaykh Fawzan | Dawud Burbank [Audio|English]

Imaam Barbahaaree rahimahullaah said:

The lawful is that which you would witness and swear to be lawful, likewise the prohibited (haraam). That which causes uneasiness in your heart is something doubtful [1].

NOTES

[1] An-Nu’maan ibn Basheer said: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,

“What is lawful is clear and what is unlawful is clear, but between them are certain doubtful things which many people do not know. So he who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and his honour blameless. But he who falls into doubtful things falls into that which is unlawful, just as a shepherd who grazes his cattle in the vicinity of a pasture declared prohibited (by the king); he is likely to stray into the pasture. Mind you, every king has a protected pasture and Allah’s involved limits is that which He has declared unlawful. Verily, there is a piece of flesh in the body, if it is healthy, the whole body is healthy, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Verily, it is the heart.”

Reported by al-Bukhaaree (Eng. trans. 1/44/no.49) and Muslim (Eng. trans. 3/840/no.3882).

Your Real Intention ?

🔹Narrated 'Jundub:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who lets the people hear of his good deeds intentionally, to win their praise, Allah will let the people know his real intention (on the Day of Resurrection), and he who does good things in public to show off and win the praise of the people, Allah will disclose his real intention (and humiliate him).

Sahih al-Bukhari, To make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq)
Book 81, Hadith 88
It is reported that ‘Abdullâh b. ‘Urwah b. Al-Zubayr said, “I asked my grandmother Asmâ (bint Abî Bakr) – Allâh be pleased with her, ‘How were the Companions of Allâh’s Messenger – Allâh peace and praise be upon him – when they heard the Quran?’ She replied, ‘their eyes would shed tears and they would tremble (with fear), as Allâh described them (in the Quran).’ I said, ‘There are some people here who, when they hear the Quran, fall down unconscious,’ She said, ‘I seek refuge with Allâh from the accursed Shaytân.’”

Al-Bayhaqî, Shu’ab Al-Îmân 3:417; Ibn Al-Mubârak, Al-Zuhd wa Al-Raqâiq 3:54 with a slightly variant wording.
*"Allaah does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favour on you that you may be thankful."* (5:6)

Khilaafah will last 30 years....

The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Verdicts were asked the question:

The second question from fatwa no. (6363): The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The khilaafah after me is thirty years, then there will be biting kingship" and for this reason Mu'aawiyah said, "I am the first of the kings", from the risaalah of Abi Zayd al-Qayrawaanee (1/96). What is the meaning of this hadeeth?

This hadeeth has been related by Imaam Ahmad in al-Musnad, al-Haakim in al-Mustadrak, Abu Ya'laa in al-Musnad, Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh and at-Tirmidhee in as-Sunan. And the meaning of the hadeeth has been explained by al-Haafidh (Ibn Hajar) in al-Fath, he said:

He meant by the khilaafah, the khilaafah of prophethood (i.e. the thirty years), and as for Mu'aawiyah and whoever came after him, then they were upon the way of the kings (i.e. kingship) even if they are named "khalifahs (successors)".

And with Allaah lies success. May prayers and salutations be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.

2.Abdul-Razzaq Afify
3.Abdullah ibn Ghudayyan
4.Abdullah ibn Qu'ood

This answers the shubhah (doubt) that may arise when coming across references made by the people of knowledge in the course of historical reference and discussion to some of the rulers who came afterwards as "khalifahs", for even if they are named "khalifahs", it does not change the reality of the mode of rule present being through kingship. Such "khalifahs" were "successors" in kingship, so calling him a "khalifah" does not change the mode of rule, since the word "khalifah" simply means "successor", and whilst they were "successors" in the mode of rule of kingship, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and Alee (radiallaahu anhum) were "khalifahs (successors)" in Prophetic khilaafah.

There is an Hour every day When the Doors to the Heavens are Opened
By the Noble Shaykh Muhammad bin AbdulWahhab al Aqeel

Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya

From Abdullaah bin Sa’ib that the Messenger of Allaah – sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam – used to pray four Rak’at after the sun had reached its highest point and before the Dhuhur prayer and he -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam – said:

إِنَّهَا سَاعَةٌ تُفْتَحُ فِيهَا أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ ، فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يَصْعَدَ لِي فِيهَا عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ

‘Indeed it is a time when the doors of the heavens are opened and I love that a good deed of mine ascends at that time.’

Therefore, this is a blessed hour after the sun has reached its highest point. A blessed hour where the doors of the heavens are opened to accept actions.

It is necessary for a Muslim slave of Allaah to have a concern for all the optional prayers which the Prophet – sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam – used to perform and it is known that the optional acts -may Allaah Ta’ala protect you all- fulfill a deficiency which occurs in the obligatory actions, and there most definitely will be a deficiency.’

What To Do If A Person Who Is Argumentative And Fond Of Debating Comes To You...

Imam Malik said:
❝If a debater comes to you, then make clear the sunnah to him but do not debate him❞

Shaykh Ibnu Uthaymeen comments:
Because if you made clear the sunnah to him, then you have placed the proof upon him between his hands (before him). If he then (still) debates, then he is debating Allah (as the proof/sunnah is from Allah) and he is not debating you. So clarify the sunnah to him and refrain from debating about it (the issue), because what is compulsory upon the one whom the sunnah has been made clear to is to accept it without debating.

Tafsir Surah An-Nisaa V.63

🔹⤴️ Al-Haṣan al-Baṣrī said: "The One who created the worldly life is Most Knowledgeable regarding it."
The Prophet said, 'Beware! Avoid sitting on the roads." They (the people) said, "O Allah s Apostle! We can't help sitting (on the roads) as these are (our places) here we have talks." The Prophet said, ' l f you refuse but to sit, then pay the road its right ' They said, "What is the right of the road, O Allah's Apostle?" He said, 'Lowering your gaze, refraining from harming others, returning greeting, and enjoining what is good, and forbidding what is evil."

Take from the Imams what is right!

Imām Mālik reportedly said:

“Truly I am only a mortal: I make mistakes (sometimes) and I am correct (sometimes). Therefore, look into my opinions: all that agrees with the Book and the Sunnah, accept it; and all that does not agree with the Book and the Sunnah, ignore it.”
