THE LOVE OF ONE'S HOMELAND IS A PART OF FAITH.
Isnad: Fabricated
As-Saghaanee declared it to be mawdoo (fabricated) [ ‘al-Mawdoo’aat’ (pg. 7)]
As-Sakhaawee said, "I have not found it" [‘Maqaasid al-Hasanah’ (pg. 218 no. 386)]
There are strict warnings from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him regarding nationalism, or calling for tribalism, or supporting a party at the cost of the Muslim's interest. This is a deep subject and the shortest lesson that can be conveyed is that, loving the place you are born in or your country is not a sin, but giving it preference over the Islamic shariah or Muslims is a major sin.
Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him has said that the best of you are the ones who are the best in manners, and elsewhere it is reported that the one who deceives (cheats, lies, etc) is not one of us (Muslims).
These and many other reports such as rules of trading, etiquettes of meeting, behaviour towards the poor, family and friends and many other lessons from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him guide Muslims to achieve a proper code of conduct when living in any country. Thus when one follows and obeys the Messenger’s commands and rules, he will automatically become a good citizen, rather the best one in fact.
Sheikh Al-Albani, classified it to be fabricated in Silsilah ad-Da’eefah, 1/110 no. 36.

No one is to be absolutely followed except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
Ibn Taymiyyah said, “No one has to blindly follow any particular man in all that he enjoins or forbids or recommends apart from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Muslims should always refer their questions to the Muslim scholars, following this one sometimes and that one sometimes. If the follower decides to follow the view of a scholar with regard to a particular matter which he thinks is better for his religious commitment or is more correct, then that is permissible according to the majority of Muslim scholars, and Abu Hanifa, Malik, Ash-Shafi’ee, and Ahmad did not say that this was forbidden.”
