Mālik ibn Dīnār -رحمه الله- Said:

‎"If a man seeks knowledge to act upon it, his knowledge will make him happy. And if he seeks knowledge, for other than acting upon it, his knowledge increases him in haughtiness."

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

‎ “If the servant (of Allāh) says: 'Alḥamdulillaahi Katheeran' (all praises and thanks be to Allāh a lot) Allāh, the Most High, says: 'Write for my servant My Mercy a lot'.”

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

Do you know who is poor? They (the Companions of the Holy Prophet) said: A poor man amongst us is one who has neither dirham with him nor wealth. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The poor of my Umma would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrection with prayers and fasts and Zakat but (he would find himself bankrupt on that day as he would have exhausted his funds of virtues) since he hurled abuses upon others, brought calumny against others and unlawfully consumed the wealth of others and shed the blood of others and beat others, and his virtues would be credited to the account of one (who suffered at his hand). And if his good deeds fall short to clear the account, then his sins would be entered in (his account) and he would be thrown in the Hell-Fire.

⭐🍃 A Good Life.

Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen- Rahimuhullaah said:

“A good life is not as some people perceive it to be, it is thought to be protection from trials, poverty, sickness and grief.

No! On the contrary, what is intended by a good life is that a person possesses a good heart, feels delight (through the expansion of his chest) and is content with Allah’s Qadr (predestined) and His Qada (execution of predestined matters).

Thus if he is granted good he is grateful and that is better for him, and if he is afflicted with harm, he is patient, and that is better for him.

This is what is meant by a good life, and it refers to a contented heart.

Narrated Az-Zubair bin Al'Awwam (RA)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said,

"It is better for anyone of you to take a rope (and cut) and bring a bundle of wood (from the forest) over his back and sell it and Allah will save his face (from the Hell-Fire) because of that, rather than to ask the people who may give him or not."

Knowledge and Good Manners:
Amir al-Mu'minin Imām ‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib (alayhi salām) said:

"O Believer! This knowledge and good manners are the value of your soul so strive to learn them, for however much your knowledge and good manners increase, so will your value and worth accordingly".

WHAT WILL SOFTEN THE HEARTS? | Al-‘Allaamah Saalih Al-Fawzaan (hafidhullaah)

Question:If a person has with him hardness in his heart, then what are affairs that will soften the heart?

Answer:
There is nothing better or more necessary (for softening the heart) than the Noble Qur’aan. It is what will soften the hearts. Allah -the Exalted and Sublime – said:

‘’Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.’’ [Surah al-Rad Verse 28]

So the Qur’aan is what will soften the hearts, which if Allah were to reveal it on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of Allah;

‘’Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder by the fear of Allah.’’ [Suratul Hashr Verse 21]

Likewise sitting with the righteous and listening to The Qur’aan, (listening) to admonitions and reminders–this is what will soften the hearts.

A scholar of Ḥadīth.

Imām Ahmad was asked: “Is a person who memorizes 100,000 Ḥadīth a scholar of Ḥadīth?”

He said: “No!”

They asked: “What about 200,000?”

He still said: “No!”

They then asked: “What about 300,000?

He replied: “They have started to become a student of Ḥadīth."

NOTE: Memorizing a Ḥadīth requires one to memorize the wording, the order of the chain of narration and for you to act upon the Ḥadīth if it is authentic!

Imam Ibn ul-Qayyim (rahimahullah) said:

“The servant has a veil between him and Allah and another one between him and the people. Whoever tore this veil between him and Allah, Allah will tear the veil between him and the people.”

Imam Al-Awza'i رحمه الله said:

“Making a promise by saying In Shaa Allah with the intention of not fulfilling it; is hypocrisy.”

Woman Changing her Surname After Marriage.

The wives of the Prophet
(Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) are the Mothers of the Believers, and the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam),
is the noblest of people and the best example.
And yet when we look at their example, we will realize that when the Prophet(Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) married any of his wives, NOT ONE of them took his name. On the contrary, each one of them kept her father’s name even if her father was a kaafir. Similarly, the wives of the Sahaabah and those who came after them did not change their names.

Did you ever think why they didn’t do that?

Surely, if it was a good thing, the wives of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) would have done it and the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) would himself have instructed it and encouraged them to do it.

That is because it is Allaah’s order to keep your father’s name as an indication of your lineage.

“Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of) their fathers, that is more just with Allaah…” [al-Ahzaab 33:5].

And the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) said:

“Whoever calls himself by other than his father’s

name, will be cursed by Allaah, the angels and all the people.”
(Ibn Maajah -Saheeh by al-Albaani).

And he (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) also said:

“Whoever knowingly claims to belong to anyone other than his father, Paradise will be denied him.”
(Ahmad, al-Bukhaari, Muslim).

Now some might argue….“But the woman is not claiming that her father is someone else.
She is just honoring her husband or she doesn’t mean it that way. She just wants to belong to her husband out of love for him.”

To those people I say.

If it was a matter of honor to have the husbands name attached to the wife’s, wouldn’t our Ummahaat have done that??

Isn’t it the biggest honor in the WORLD to have the name of the Prophet
(Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) attached to yours?
And yet the wives of the Prophet
(Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) didn’t do that.

Ever wonder why?

And if it was a matter of expressing love for the husband, no relationship between a husband and wife on the face of this earth was better than the relationship between the Prophet(Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) and his wives.
And yet none of the Mothers of the Believers expressed their love for the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam) by changing their last names.

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏ لاَ تَحَاسُدَ إِلاَّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْقُرْآنَ، فَهْوَ يَتْلُوهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ يَقُولُ لَوْ أُوتِيتُ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ هَذَا لَفَعَلْتُ كَمَا يَفْعَلُ، وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً يُنْفِقُهُ فِي حَقِّهِ فَيَقُولُ لَوْ أُوتِيتُ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ لَفَعَلْتُ كَمَا يَفْعَلُ ‏"

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Not to wish to be the like except of two men. A man whom Allah has given the (knowledge of the) Qur'an and he recites it during the hours of night and day and the one who wishes says: If I were given the same as this (man) has been given, I would do what he does, and a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the just and right way, in which case the one who wishes says, 'If I were given the same as he has been given, I would do what he does.'
