WORLDLY LIFE = INTOXICANT ❗
In the Name of Allaah, Ar-Rahmaan, Ar-Raheem…
Yahya Ibn Mu’aadh Ar-Raazee stated:
“This worldly life is the Devil’s intoxicant (Khamr). Whoever is intoxicated by it will not regain consciousness until they are in the ranks of the dead, in a state of regret, among the losers.” In the book ‘Uddah As-Saabireen of Al-Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, p. 349, Daar Ibn Al-Jawzee.
Ibn Al-Qayyim said in the same book:
“The intoxicating effect of loving this world is far more potent than the intoxication that results from drinking alcohol by a long way. The one who is intoxicated by this will not gain his senses until he is in the darkness of his grave, and [if he regains his senses] and the effects of this cease while he is living then he will surely appreciate the extent of intoxication that this worldly life can cause and that it is more severe than alcohol…” (p. 349)
Ibn Al-Qayyim said,“Numerous narrations have been transmitted from the rightly guided predecessors where [they have mentioned] that the love of this world is the root of (all) sins and the source of them.” (p. 349)
He said, “The love of this world and leadership is that which has filled the Hellfire with its inhabitants, and the practice of abstinence as it relates to the life of this world and leadership is that which has filled paradise with its inhabitants.” (p. 349)
By Allah, the scholars of Islam, or the doctors of the hearts, have spoken the truth; this is truly an epidemic.
Even some non-Muslims are now attesting to the fact that materialism has brought nothing but misery to the world, and they have defined it as disease as ‘Affluenza’. However, they fail to understand that true happiness can only be achieved through belief in Allah and His Messenger.

If a Person Keeps Falling into a Sin He Had Repented From
Ibn Taimiyyah, may Allāh have mercy on him, said:
It is not allowed for a Muslim, if he were to repent and then afterwards go back [to committing the sin], to persist [on that sin]; rather, he [must] repent, even if he were to go back [to that sin] a hundred times in a day.

Truly, a person who favours a current pleasure, whose effect will disturb his life and Hereafter, must be a person with no sense of sensibility. For how can a person favour such pleasures that are as temporary as a dream and as short as a good moment a person spends with a character visiting him in a dream, over an everlasting pleasure that is among the ultimate pleasures!

It is said to the intelligent Muslim who desires the Hereafter and detests this world: be in this world like this stranger who only looks to this world for that which will suffice him and leaves plentitude and luxury. When you do this, truly will you be a stranger, someone who is but passing on his way, someone who desires the Hereafter and looks down on this world. If you do this, you will see the praiseworthy outcome of your bearing with patience all the hardship and adversity of your journey. Allāh knows best.

If you broadcast your good deeds with the intention of showing off in front of people, do not expect any reward from Allāh, for any deed you did with such intentions.
He knew your heart, and Allāh is the Pure and accepts that which is purely done for His sake alone.
Abu Sa’d reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When Allah gathers the people on the Day of Resurrection, a day of which there is no doubt, an announcement will be made: To those who shared with anyone in deeds done for Allah, then let him seek his reward from those besides Allah. _Summary of the Translation,_

Abu Huraira Radhiyallahu 'Anhu said: *❝Whoever meets his brother let him greet him with Salaam. If a tree or wall comes between them, then he meets him again; let him greet him with Salaam.❞*
(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1010)
🎓Shaykh Abdur Razzaq Al Badr:
Then he—may Allah have mercy upon him—narrated this Hadith from Abu Huraira Radhiyallahu 'Anhu. And this narration is Mawquf (a narration attributed to a companion).
*He said whoever encounters his brother let him greet him with the Salaam.*
*If you meet one of your brothers on the road greet him with Salaam.*
*Then if you are walking together and a date palm comes between you, or a tree, a column, a car, or anything else; after you reunite following this minor separation greet him with Salaam.*
_This is a Sunnah which many of the people are heedless of._
_*Either they don’t know it or they don’t give concern to applying it._*
(@ minute 2:08 Mark)
_Like what comes in the Hadith of the man who prayed badly. He prayed and then he went to the gathering of the Prophet Sallallahu 'alaihi waSallam and greeted them with Salaam. The Prophet Sallallahu 'alaihi waSallam said to him, go back and pray, for you have not prayed. So the man went back and prayed in the Masjid, close to where they were sitting; then he came back and greeted them with the Salaam. He said to the man go back and pray, for you have not prayed. So he went and prayed close to where they were, and he came back and greeted them with the Salaam. Therefore it is recommended to give the Salaam even if the separation is minimal. All of this is included in spreading the Salaam._
I remember when I was young, and I was beside Shaykh Al Albani—may Allah have mercy upon him—here in Madinah. I was walking beside him, just the two of us. So we became separated by a column.
_When he joined with me after the column he turned to me smiling and said:_
*“As Salaamu 'alaikum”.
I said: “Wa 'alaikum(us)Salaam”.
He said: “Why did I give you Salaam?”*
_I didn’t know of this Hadith, and I was not previously aware of it._
*_He said: “Why did I give you Salaam?”_*
I smiled and said to him:
*“The Salaam is good”.*
_So he mentioned the Hadith to me. This was the first time I heard this Hadith, and I heard it from the Shaykh; may Allah have mercy upon him._

📣 Some important #Adhkaar to be recited in the #evening!! (New for me)
Related by Imaam ad-Daarimee in his Sunan as #3382 and #3383 from ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ood-may Allah be pleased with him-and it has been ruled as being marfu’oo(#1) that he said:
“Whoever recites ten verses from Soorat-ul-Baqarah at night time the shaytaan will not enter the house that evening until the morning,
🌸 (also) the first four verses of Soorat-ul-Baqarah, [2:1-5]
🌸 Aayat-ul-Kursee and the two verses after it, [2:255-257]
🌸 in addition to the three last verses of Soorat-ul-Baqarah beginning with: {…To Allah belongs what is in the heavens…} [2:284-286]
💡 And in another narration: “…shaytaan or anything he dislikes will not come near him nor his family that day, and it is not recited over a mentally ill person except that he will recover from his illness.” 💡
📌 At-Tabaraanee related it in his Kabeer as #8673, and al-Haythamee said in his Majma’ (#17014): “The men of this narration are the narrators of the Saheeh except that ash-Sha’bee did not hear directly from Ibn Mas’oud.”
