It is said to the intelligent Muslim who desires the Hereafter and detests this world: be in this world like this stranger who only looks to this world for that which will suffice him and leaves plentitude and luxury. When you do this, truly will you be a stranger, someone who is but passing on his way, someone who desires the Hereafter and looks down on this world. If you do this, you will see the praiseworthy outcome of your bearing with patience all the hardship and adversity of your journey. Allāh knows best.

*[Book: The Journey of the Strangers by al-Ḥāfiẓ ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbalī (d. 795H) , p. 42 | Translation by Abū Rumaysah | Daar us-Sunnah Publishers]*
Shaykh Muqbil (رحمه الله):
Disputes & arguments come from [misuse of] free time. When one spends his time memorizing Quran, writing, researching, building Arabic & handwriting skills, & calling to Allah's Way, his time is limited to that, with no time left over for arguments.

‘Abdullāh ibn Mas‘ūd (رضي الله عنهما) said:

❛You are living at a time when there are many men of understanding (al-Fuqahā‘) and few orators/preachers. There are few who ask and many who give [knowledge]. Deeds in it leads the desire.

After you there will come a time when there are few men of understanding and many orators. There will be many who ask and few who give. Desire in it leads the deeds.

Know that right guidance at the end of time is better than some deeds.❜

[Imām al-Bukhārī, Adab al-Mufrad, n. 789]
If you broadcast your good deeds with the intention of showing off in front of people, do not expect any reward from Allāh, for any deed you did with such intentions.

He knew your heart, and Allāh is the Pure and accepts that which is purely done for His sake alone.

Abu Sa’d reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When Allah gathers the people on the Day of Resurrection, a day of which there is no doubt, an announcement will be made: To those who shared with anyone in deeds done for Allah, then let him seek his reward from those besides Allah. Verily, Allah is free of any partners.”

🖌 *SHAYKH AL-ALBAANI TEACHING SHAYKH ‘ABDUR RAZZĀQ Al-BADR A HADĪTH WHEN HE WAS YOUNG.*

_Summary of the Translation,_

*Student:*

Abu Huraira Radhiyallahu 'Anhu said: *❝Whoever meets his brother let him greet him with Salaam. If a tree or wall comes between them, then he meets him again; let him greet him with Salaam.❞*
(Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1010)

🎓Shaykh Abdur Razzaq Al Badr:

Then he—may Allah have mercy upon him—narrated this Hadith from Abu Huraira Radhiyallahu 'Anhu. And this narration is Mawquf (a narration attributed to a companion).

*He said whoever encounters his brother let him greet him with the Salaam.*

*If you meet one of your brothers on the road greet him with Salaam.*

*Then if you are walking together and a date palm comes between you, or a tree, a column, a car, or anything else; after you reunite following this minor separation greet him with Salaam.*

_This is a Sunnah which many of the people are heedless of._

_*Either they don’t know it or they don’t give concern to applying it._*
(@ minute 2:08 Mark)

_Like what comes in the Hadith of the man who prayed badly. He prayed and then he went to the gathering of the Prophet Sallallahu 'alaihi waSallam and greeted them with Salaam. The Prophet Sallallahu 'alaihi waSallam said to him, go back and pray, for you have not prayed. So the man went back and prayed in the Masjid, close to where they were sitting; then he came back and greeted them with the Salaam. He said to the man go back and pray, for you have not prayed. So he went and prayed close to where they were, and he came back and greeted them with the Salaam. Therefore it is recommended to give the Salaam even if the separation is minimal. All of this is included in spreading the Salaam._

I remember when I was young, and I was beside Shaykh Al Albani—may Allah have mercy upon him—here in Madinah. I was walking beside him, just the two of us. So we became separated by a column.

_When he joined with me after the column he turned to me smiling and said:_
*“As Salaamu 'alaikum”.
I said: “Wa 'alaikum(us)Salaam”.
He said: “Why did I give you Salaam?”*
_I didn’t know of this Hadith, and I was not previously aware of it._

*_He said: “Why did I give you Salaam?”_*
I smiled and said to him:
*“The Salaam is good”.*

_So he mentioned the Hadith to me. This was the first time I heard this Hadith, and I heard it from the Shaykh; may Allah have mercy upon him._

📣 Some important #Adhkaar to be recited in the #evening!! (New for me)

Related by Imaam ad-Daarimee in his Sunan as #3382 and #3383 from ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ood-may Allah be pleased with him-and it has been ruled as being marfu’oo(#1) that he said:

“Whoever recites ten verses from Soorat-ul-Baqarah at night time the shaytaan will not enter the house that evening until the morning,

🌸 (also) the first four verses of Soorat-ul-Baqarah, [2:1-5]

🌸 Aayat-ul-Kursee and the two verses after it, [2:255-257]

🌸 in addition to the three last verses of Soorat-ul-Baqarah beginning with: {…To Allah belongs what is in the heavens…} [2:284-286]

💡 And in another narration: “…shaytaan or anything he dislikes will not come near him nor his family that day, and it is not recited over a mentally ill person except that he will recover from his illness.” 💡

📌 At-Tabaraanee related it in his Kabeer as #8673, and al-Haythamee said in his Majma’ (#17014): “The men of this narration are the narrators of the Saheeh except that ash-Sha’bee did not hear directly from Ibn Mas’oud.”

📌 (#1) T.N. Al-Khateeb (rahimahullah) said: “It is what has been narrated by a companion directly from the Messenger (may the peace & blessings of Allah be upon him)”. Al-Baa’eeth-ul-Hatheeth Page 54.

Rushing In Recitation Of Qurʾān Is Blameworthy

Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:

سيخرج أقوام من أمتي يشربون القرآن كشربهم اللبن

“There will emerge groups of people from my Ummah who will drink Qurʾān like they drink milk (i.e they would recite Qurʾān without pondering upon its meaning and rulings).”

[Verily, Allah will ask us about the halal things we enjoyed, so what about the haram!]

It is reported that ‘Umar bin ‘Abd Al-‘Aziz once wrote to Al-Hasan AlBasri to get a brief exhortation from him, so Al-Hasan wrote back ,

“The dunya distracts and preoccupies the heart and body, but al-zuhd (asceticism, not giving importance to worldly things) gives rest to the heart and body. Verily, Allah will ask us about the halal things we enjoyed, so what about the haram!”
-[Al-Bayhaqî, Al-Zuhd Al-Kabîr, article 26]
Imām Abdul 'Azeez bin Bāz رحمه الله said:

"Oppression is from the most evil of the major sins, and its consequences are severe. Allaah سبحانه said:

'And whoever among you commits oppression - We will make him taste a great punishment.' (25:19)

🔴 ️Riya (Showing-off) 🔴

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“What I fear most for you is minor shirk.” They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is minor shirk? He said: “Showing off. For Allah ﷻ, will say on the Day when He will requite all people for their deeds: ‘Go to those for whom you used to show off with your deeds in the previous world, and see whether you find any reward with them.’”

|| Narrated by Ahmad (27742); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami‘ (1555) ||
How to investigate a matter?!

When a person of Sunnah is alleged to have made a mistake, it is necessary that we should hear his side as well before coming to a conclusion.

When some people from Koofah complained to Umar رضي الله عنه against Sad Ibn Abee Waqqaas رضي الله عنه and among the complains they also alleged that he did not offer the prayers properly, Umar sent for Sad and said to him that people complain such and such about you. Then Umar listened to what Sad had to say. Then Umar sent a man with Sad to Koofah to investigate the matter, and whichever Masjid they went, people praised Sad. And of all the people, only one man got up to complain, and it was a lie and he did that for showing off. And Sad made Du`aa against this man and his supplication was answered. [See Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (755)]

We see this being repeated in our times too…

How many times people have attributed lies to the scholars?!

How many times people have falsely complained TO the scholars?!

How many times people have falsely complained ABOUT the scholars?!

How many times we have accepted the rumors without verifying the news?!

How many times friends have turned on each other because of these rumors?!

And Allaah تعالى said:

{O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done.} [Surah al-Hujuraat (49): 6]
Ja’far Bin Muhammad As-Saadiq said:

❝Whoever tries to uncover the affairs of others and expose them to the people will have the hidden affairs of his own household uncovered and exposed to the people.❞

[Reported By Aboo Nu’aym In Hilyat al-Awliyaa, (3/196) | Translated By Abū Ruqayyah 'Abd us-Samad]
~> Increase In Respect <~

Shaykh Muhammad Amman al-Jami [رحمه الله] said:

«الأدب والأناة والتريث : تزيد الرجل مهابة وثباتاً ؛ والعجلة : قد تجعل الرجل يُستخف في عين الناس.»

*❝Good manners, gentleness and calmness, also having great patience increase a man in respect and status and stability. Haste can perhaps belittle a man in people's eyes.❞*
