Luqmān was an Ethiopian Slave who was a carpenter.
His master said to him:
"Slaughter this sheep for us," so he slaughtered it.
His master said: "Bring the best two pieces from it," so he brought out the tongue and the heart.
Them time passed, as much as Allāh willed, and his master said: "Slaughter this sheep for us," so he slaughtered it.
His master said: "Bring the worst two morsels from it," so he brought out the tongue and the heart.
His master said to him: "I told you to bring out the best two pieces, and you brought these, then I told you bring out the worst two pieces, and you brought these!"
Luqmān said: "There is nothing better than these if they are good, and there is nothing worse than these if they are bad."

When Shaikh Wasiullah Abbas forgot an ayah from Surah Al-Mu'minun, he asks the audience, "Mein yeh ayat bhool raha hu, aap log meri madad kyon nahi karte!" Subhan'Allah, this is one of the attributes of true Salafi Scholars, they are far away from the world of hypocrisy, they don't just ask as if they are testing people but they admit when they forget something. May Allah preserve him.

A Good Life
Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen -Rahimuhullaah- said:
“A good life is not as some people perceive it to be, it is thought to be protection from trials, poverty, sickness and grief.
No! On the contrary, what is intended by a good life is that a person possesses a good heart, feels delight (through the expansion of his chest) and is content with Allah’s Qadr (predestined) and His Qada (execution of predestined matters).
Thus if he is granted good he is grateful and that is better for him, and if he is afflicted with harm, he is patient, and that is better for him.
This is what is meant by a good life, and it refers to a contented heart."

On the authority of Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه who said:
❝A man came to the Prophet [ﷺ] said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah! Which of the people are the most beloved to Allaah and which of the actions are most beloved to Allaah?’
The Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] said: ‘The most beloved of the people to Allaah are the most beneficial for the people. The most beloved of actions to Allaah [عز و جل] are to cause happiness to reach a Muslim, to relieve him from a hardship, to settle a debt for a Muslim or to repel hunger from him. For me to walk with a brother in order to assist him is more beloved to me than to make ‘Itikaf in this Masjid [Masjid al-Madeenah] for a month.
Whoever holds back his anger then Allaah hides his mistakes. Whoever suppresses his anger – even though he is not scared to show it, but withholds due to the truth – Allaah fills his heart with hope on the day of Judgement.
Whoever walks with his brother to assist him with a need until he has helped him completely, then Allaah plants his feet firmly on the day people will not stand firmly. Indeed bad behaviour spoils good actions, just as vinegar spoils honey.’❞

It was reported from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

whoever takes people’s money with the intention of wasting it, Allaah will destroy him.

Young Children are rewarded for Good Deeds
Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah -rahimullaah- said :
‘Young children are rewarded for what they do from good deeds, even though the pen has been lifted from them in regards to bad deeds.
As is established in Saheeh Muslim that a woman lifted up her child towards the Prophet ﷺ and asked:
ألهذا حج؟
‘Can he perform Hajj?’
The Prophet answered:
نعم، ولكِ أجر
‘Yes, and you (also) get a reward.’
Collected by Muslim in his book.’
Ibn Taymeeyah continues:
‘. . . . so a young child is rewarded for his prayer, fasting, Hajj as well as other good actions. He is given preference due to that, over the one who does not do good deeds like him.’
[From Majmoo al-Fatawa 4/278]

Glad tidings for those who are facing difficulties
And it was narrated that Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “On the Day of Resurrection, when people who had suffered affliction are given their reward, those who were healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2402. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, no. 2206.
