Protect your children by Reciting the Ruqya (supplication) of Jibreel عليه السلام over them:
Abu Saeed رضي الله عنه reported that Jibreel عليه السلام came to Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ and said: Muhammad, have you fallen ill? Thereupon he ﷺ said: “Yes”. He Jibreel said:
Bismillaahi arqeeka, min kulli shay’in yu’dheeka, min sharri kulli nafsin aw ayni hasidin, Allaahu yashfeeka, bismillaahi arqeeka
In the Name of Allaah I recite over you (to cleanse you) from everything that troubles you and (safeguard) you from every evil (that may harm you) and from the eye of the envier. Allaah would cure you and in the Name of Allaah I recite over you.” [Saheeh Muslim]

Destructive Envy and Eagerness (to acquire more)
Iblis said to Nooh (‘Alayhis-salām): There are five things that destroy people.
‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar (RadiyAllahu ‘anhu) said: While on the Ark, Nooh (‘alayhis-salam) noticed an old man whom he did not recognise.
Nooh (‘Alayhis-salām) inquired: ‘What brought you here?’
He replied: ‘I came to strike the hearts of your followers, so their hearts become with me, while their bodies with you.’
Nooh (‘Alayhis-salām) responded: ‘Leave, O enemy of Allah.’
Iblis said: ‘There are five things that cause people to become destroyed (deviated). I will inform you of three and not of the other two’.
{Then it was revealed to Nooh (‘Alayhis-salām) that he needed not know the three, but that he should enquire about the two. (so he inquired about just two)}
Iblis said: ‘The two that are certain to work are:
Envy: I was cursed because of my envy, and became a stoned devil and the second is
Eagerness (to have more): The entire paradise was made permissible to Adam (‘alayhis-salam). I got what I wanted from him because of his eagerness.’
[Ibn abee al-Dunya (Rahimahullah) in Maka’d al-Shaytaan, 65/ 44 | The Devil’s Deceptions (Talbis Iblis), Imam Abu’l Faraj Ibn al-Jawzi, Dar as-sunnah Publishers, Page 74]

*Some Reasons Why Some Who Know The Truth Still Reject It*
Ibn Taimiyyah [رحمه الله] said:
❝A person might know that the truth is [found] with someone else; despite this, he outwardly denies that [truth] due to his envy for him, his wanting to be in a higher position above him, or [his having] desires in [his] soul.❞

Al-Khallaal said, “I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal saying, ‘I had memorized the Quran. Then when I began seeking the narrations, I became busy.'” When he began seeking and memorizing the narrations, he became too busy to keep track of the Quran, and forgot some of it due to his occupation with the narrations.
“I had memorized the Quran,” said Imam Ahmad, “But when I began seeking the narrations, I became too busy for it, and it got away from me. So I asked Allaah, the Mighty and Exalted, to grant me its memorization, but I did not add, ‘in safety and good health.'”
He said, “O Allaah! Grant me the memorization of the Quran,” without adding, “In safety and good health.” He was saying that what is more befitting is to ask, “O Allaah! Grant me the memorization of the Quran in safety and good health.”
He said, “So then I did not memorize the Quran until I was shackled in prison. If you ask Allaah for something, ask for it in safety and good health.”

"Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Oft-Forgiving; He will send rain to you in abundance; And give you increase in wealth and children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers."

Prophet ﷺ said: "He (man who slept through Fajr) is a man in whose ears Shaytaan has urinated."
● [صحيح البخاري ٥٩/٨٠]
The urine in the ear is not literal though, it is metaphorical, here is the commentary by Ibn Hajr:
هو مثل مضروب للغافل عن القيام بثقل النوم كمن وقع البول في أذنه فثقل أذنه وأفسد حسه والعرب تكني عن الفساد بالبول
“It is an example used for the one who is negligent of prayers due to heavy sleep as if he has got his ear filled with urine till it became weighed down and his senses got corrupted. Arabs have used urination as a metaphor for corruption.”
● [فتح البارئ ج ٣، صحفة ٢٨/٢٩]

If someone slanders you, you either get their good deeds, or they get your bad deeds.
Abū Hurayrah narrated that Allāh's Messenger ﷺ said: "Whoever has wronged his brother with regard to his honour or any other matter, should seek his forgiveness today, before there are no longer any dinars, or dirham, and if he has righteous deeds, they will be taken (and given to the person they slandered), and if he has no good deeds, some of the bad deeds of the person will be taken and added to his burden."

Contemplate:
For a Muslim, the purpose of all his actions should be for attaining the Aakhirah (the Hereafter). This should be the purpose – the worship of Allaah, the pleasure of Allaah, the Jannah (Paradise), the protection from the punishment of the grave and the Jahannam (Hellfire).
For how long do we live in this Dunya?! How many years?! 50 years? 60? 70? 100? How long is that as compared to the life of the Barzakh?! And how long is that as compared to the life of the Hereafter?!
Example: Nooh عليه السلام spent 950 years of his life in calling people towards Allaah. Compare that to how many thousands of years he is living in the life of Barzakh?!
Another example: We are in the year 1440H. Uthmaan Ibn Affaan رضي الله عنه was assassinated near the end of the year 35H. How many years have passed since then? For how many years has he been in the grave? More than 1,400 (one thousand four hundred) years!
1,400 YEARS OF LIFE IN THE BARZAKH!
Till when will he be in the grave?! Another 100 years?! Another 1,000 years?! Only Allaah knows when the Hour will be established.
This life - in the Barzakh (in the grave) - of 1,000 years or 2,000 years, or as much as Allaah Wills! Does it not deserve that we work for it so that we are blessed in it?!
This life of 50, 60 or 70 years which we live, deduct from it the many years that go in childhood! Deduct from it the many years that go in sleeping! Deduct from it the years that go in sickness! Deduct from it the many years that go in old age and senility! How much of it is left?!
Then comes the Hereafter! The Eternal life! The life with no end! The life with no death – either in the Jannah or in the Jahannam! May Allaah make us of the people of Paradise and may He protect us from the punishment of the Hellfire!
So we want to abandon the life of the Hereafter for the life of this world?! We want to gain the life of this fleeting world at the price of the Hereafter?! What’s wrong with us?! 😢

Sit Down And Learn From The Scholars – [A Brief Reminder By Shaikh Rabee (hafidhahullaah)]
How can you not humble yourself in the presence of a scholar and sit on your knees in his presence with [good] etiquettes and take [knowledge from] him! We do not declare personalities to be free from shortcomings nor do we exaggerate their status, but we [deal with them based] on [good] etiquettes and honor [them]; and we acknowledge – in particular – the station of the scholars of the Sunnah, for indeed the scholars of bidah are not scholars [in reality].
The [true] scholars are those scholars who [possess sound understanding] of the Book of Allaah – the scholars of Tawheed and the [authentic] Sunnah. As long as they do not [hold and propagate] speech that is tantamount to [clear error or misrepresentation], excess and slanderous speech, as is the case with others, then we sit with this scholar and learn from him.
