Is it permissible for a menstruating woman or a woman with postpartum bleeding to touch and read the Qurʾān in the blessed month of Ramaḍān, which the people specify in completing the Qurʾān?
Shaykh Muqbil bin Hādī al-Wādiʿī:
I don’t know anything that prohibits this, and the ḥadīth: “…and no one should touch the Qurʾān, except the pure.” There are some [scholars] who say that it is mursal and even if it is accepted due to its numerous narrations,
Then it is said as stated by ash-Shawkānī in Nayl al-Awtar, “and no one touches the Qurʾān except the pure, meaning: the Muslim, so the non-Muslim should not touch it. However, the Messenger prohibited that a person should travel with the Qurʾān to the land of the enemy…”
Likewise what is meant by the statement of Allah ﷻ:
“None can touch but the purified” (Q 56:79)
are the Angels as Imām Mālik explained in his al-Muwaṭṭa. He said, “This verse has been explained in Allah’s statement;
“Nay, indeed it is an admonition, So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfūz). Exalted (in dignity), purified, In the hands of scribes” (Q 78:11-16)
meaning the Angels.
And the meaning
“None can touch but the purified” (Q 56:79)
is referring to the Angels as Allah ﷻ has said,
“And it is not the devils who have brought it (this Qurʾān) down, Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it.” (Q 26:210-212)
The Ruling on a Menstruating Woman Attending the Masjid and the Weak Narration | Shaykh Muqbil
Questioner:
Is it permissible for her to attend classes and sittings in the masjid?
Shaykh Muqbil bin Hādī al-Wādiʿī:
There is no problem in doing so In shā Allah. As for the ḥadīth: “I do not allow the menstruating, nor the postpartum bleeding to [enter] the masjid.” This is ḥadīth is weak. Likewise the Prophet said ʿĀʾisha, “Your menstruation is not in your hand.” He also said to her “Do everything a Pilgrim does, except for tawwāf around the Ka’ba.” So there is no problem – In shā Allah, for her to attend lessons in the masjid.

The Menstruating Woman Sitting in the Mosque | al-Imaam al-Muhaddith Muhammad NaasirudDeen al-Abaani
Questioner:
The menstruating woman, the Prophet Sallallāhu ‘Alaihi waSallam permitted her to enter the mosque except that she is not allowed to perform Tawaaf?
Al-Albaani:
Yes.
Questioner:
[If she enters the mosque does she] or does she not pray the two rak’ahs performed upon entering the mosque [Tahayyatul-Masjid]? Does she pray or [just] sit down in the mosque?
Al-Albaani:
She sits down without praying, it’s not allowed for her to pray, she sits in the mosque without praying.
Questioner: … [she sits] without praying, but what is the proof for that, O Shaikh?
Al-Albaani:
The proof is the hadith I mentioned to you which is in Sahih Bukhaari,
❝Do what the pilgrims do, except that you should not perform tawaaf and nor pray.❞
So what does the pilgrim do?
He enters the mosque, prays, performs tawaaf, sits, and reads the Quraan—the Prophet Sallallāhu ‘Alaihi waSallam allowed her to do all of that but excluded the prayer and the tawaaf from it.
Questioner:
This noble Prophetic hadith [states] that it is not allowed for her to pray …
Al-Albaani:
Yes, and there are other hadiths about the fact that the woman does not pray or fast but that she makes up the fast but not the prayer.
[Al-Hudaa wan-Noor, 160.]

The Ruling on a Menstruating Woman to Attending the Masjid and Reading the Quran in Ramadan? – Shaykh Muqbil ibn Hadi al-Wadi’i…
Questioner: Is it permissible for a menstruating woman or a woman with postpartum bleeding to touch and read the Qurʾān in the blessed month of Ramaḍān, which the people specify in completing the Qurʾān? Shaykh Muqbil bin Hādī al-Wādiʿī: I don’t know anything…
In Islam, the night precedes the day.
The new hijri date begins with the setting of sun. Hence for e.g. once the sun sets after the 11th day in Ramadhaan, the 12th has already begun.
So, if today is Thursday 3:15 pm then Maghrib begins at 5:00 pm then know from the moment Maghrib time begins on that day, Friday begins.
The Islamic cycle of a day begins with the setting, not the rising of the sun. In countries such as Saudi Arabia, where the Islamic calendar alone is norm, when someone is speaking about going out on Friday night, he means the night that comes before the “day” of Friday.
And since the day starts at maghrib, then its the first of Ramadan. On the last day, we dont pray Taraweeh, and that’s because the day (new day) has started at maghrib, so Ramadan is over and Eid has begun. That is also why we start to say the Takbir for Eid after Maghrib of the last day of Ramadan. This is all because the Islamic month is lunar, so the moon we see after Ramadan is that of Eid, so we celebrate Eid, and Ramadan is then officially over.
This information is really crucial to find out the odd nights in the last 10 days of ramadhan for seeking layla-tul-qadr for e.g the night preceding the 27th day is actually the 27th night

Mending Your Intentions
So my brothers! Focus on mending your intentions (islāḥ al-niyya) and refrain from showing-off to people, and let your main pillar (of support) be straight with Allāh. This was how the salaf gained elevation and fortune.

TAKING ADVANTAGE OF TIME THROUGHOUT THE MONTH BY WAY OF RIGHTEOUS DEEDS
Indeed, the virtues of the month of Ramadān are many and numerous. Every person takes from these virtues what Allāh grants him tawfīq to acquire. From them, there is he who completes it. This was the state of the pious predecessors, for they used to rejoice with the month of Ramadān, while all year round they were earnest and diligent, standing at night and fasting throughout the day. They were engaged in striving in the path of Allāh, seeking knowledge, and performing righteous actions. However, they would rejoice at this month due to what they would perform therein from additional good, and they loved the good and everything that drew them closer to good. The pious predecessors honored this month and would single it out with various types of striving, and they busied themselves with this month. They would supplicate to Allāh to allow them to reach it, then they would supplicate to Him to accept from them (their deeds).

From Aisha- RadhiAllaahu anha- who said:
The Prophet ﷺ entered the home with a need while I was praying with a need (for me), but I took too long a time (praying). The Prophet ﷺ said: “O Aisha, you should make a broad and comprehensive du’a”. When I finished the prayer I said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is a broad and comprehensive du’a?” The Prophet said, say:
“O Allah, I ask You from all that is good in the present and in the future, that which I know and that which I do not know. Ridiculing is From The Manners of The Hypocrites | The Mufti Shaykh Abdul Azeez
Ridiculing is from the manners of the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Allah the Exalted said:
❝Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. And whenever they passed by them, they used to wink one to another (in mockery); and when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting; and when they saw them, they said: Verily! These have indeed gone astray!❞
(Soorah Al-Mutaffifīn 83:29-32)
Allah the Exalted explained in the first part of the Soorah the recompense of the criminals, and the reward of the believers; then He clarified that the criminals ridicule the believers, laugh at them with words of contempt and disrespect. “And whenever they passed by them, they used to wink one to another (in mockery).”All of this is due to the hatred in their hearts.
And Allah the Exalted said:
❝But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My remembrance while you used to laugh at them! Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience; they are indeed the ones that are successful.❞
(Soorah Al-Mu'minūn 23:110,111)
Thus the disbelievers and people of misguidance ridicule the people of rectification and the Imams of guidance, such that their ridicule distracted them from the remembrance of Allah and pondering what will benefit them. Rather they busy themselves with ridicule, mockery, contempt, and disdain for the slaves of Allah. And Allah explained that it is from the characteristics of the hypocrites to ridicule the believers.
Allah the Exalted said:
❝If you ask them (about this), they declare: "We were only talking idly and joking." Say: "Was it at Allah, and His Ayat and His Messenger that you were mocking?"❞
(Soorah At Tawbah 9:65)

The Path of Misguidance
When you come to some people and say to them "The Quran and Sunnah says such and such" they will reply "yes, but doesn't the Shaykh know better what those Ayats mean".
This is common even amongst students of knowledge.
Here is what Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab رحمه الله said about such a saying:
"If it is said" Allah said and the Messenger said" they will reply "but they (Imams, Scholars) are more knowledgeable than us - this is the path of misguidance."
Ad-Durar as Saniyyah vol. 4 p. 11

The Ruling on Extravagance in the Iftar

They used to sleep a little at night” [Sūrah al-Dhāriyāt, 51:15-17].
As for the prayer that is short and is performed in the first part of the night in Ramaḍān, then the scholars call it tarāwīḥ. It can also be called tahajjud or qiyām al-layl. This isn’t a problem.
