📌 *Itikaaf of women : It is not done at home.*

🎓Al-Nawawi said in al-Majmoo’ (6/480):

*It is not correct for a man or a woman to observe i'tikaaf anywhere except in the mosque.*

This is the view favoured by Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen in al-Sharh al-Mumti’, 6/513
Most of the people during our time stay awake at night during the nights of Ramadān not involved in what will rectify their religion or the worldly life; rather, they only spend the night in ''he said, she said,'' laughing, joking, and playing, and this is a tremendous loss!

Laylatul Qadr - A night better than 1000 Months

PART 5️⃣

📌The meaning of Better than One Thousand Months: Tafsir al-Baghawi

➡️Imam al-Baghawi wrote the following in his commentary on this ayah:

In surah al-Qadr, Allah describes Laylah al-Qadr by saying:

‎لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

Laylah al-Qadr is better than one thousand months [97:3]

Relaying from ibn ‘Abbaas, ‘Ataa’ said: The Messenger of Allah was told about a man from Banu Israa’eel who carried a sword on his shoulder in the path of Allah for one thousand months. So Allah’s Messenger was amazed by this and wished this for his ummah, saying, “O Lord, You made my ummah the shortest of nations in terms of lifespan and the least of them in terms of deeds?”

So then Allah gave him Laylah al-Qadr and said,
“Laylah al-Qadr is better than one thousand months

in which that man from Banu Israa’eel carried a sword in the path of Allah. It is for you and your ummah until the Day of Resurrection.”

The mufassiroon have said that the meaning of “Laylah al-Qadr is better than one thousand months” is that righteous deeds done during Laylah al-Qadr are better than the deeds of one thousand months which do not contain Laylah al-Qadr.

*Cursing Time Is Of Three Types*

👤 _Shaykh Muḥammad Ibn Ṣāliḥ al-'Uthaymīn (رحمه الله)_

✏️ Translated by _Abū Ḥakīm Bilāl Davis (حفظه الله)_

📌 Before the reader is a concise yet highly beneficial article wherein al-Shaykh Muḥammad Ibn Ṣāliḥ al-'Uthaymīn (رحمه الله) briefly explains the three categories in which cursing time can fall into. It would serve us all well to read and understand this very short article so that we may be upon certaintly regarding this sibtle affair related to our 'Aqīdah and thus safeguard ourselves from falling into anything displeasing to our Lord (سبحانه وتعالى).

📃 _An excerpt taken from the article:_

"That one merely intends to inform (of something occurring on that day) without blaming time, such as saying 'we are exhausted from the severe heat of this day or its cold' or its like, since one’s actions are by intentions and this is sound to be used merely to inform."

Qurʾān: Quality over Quantity

“If the people knew the sweetness, and benefits in pondering over the Qurʾān when reading it, they would have kept themselves busy with nothing else but reading Qurʾān.

For reading and pondering over one verse is better than a ḵẖatma (completion of the whole Qurʾān) without contemplation nor understanding. It's also more beneficial to the heart, attains Īmān and makes one taste the sweetness of the Qurʾān.”

🎥Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Al-Fawzān’s -حفظه الله تعالى- Heartfelt & Powerful Advice as Ramaḍān approaches its Conclusion
Forwarded from SHAYKH IBN HIZAAM (English)

Our Shaykh, Muhammad Ibn Hizaam- may Allaah preserve him - was asked the following question:

📩 Question:

It has become widespread in Russia that people respond to questions by saying, "Shaytaan knows the answer". So what is the ruling of this statement, as well as the one who frequently replies with this response?

📝Answer :

We seek refuge with Allaah!
This statement is absolutely false. In fact, it can lead one to disbelief if it's cited concerning obscure matters of the unseen. It is incumbent upon a Muslim to attribute all knowledge of the unseen to Allaah alone -Subhanahu wa Ta'aala-.

The Shaytaan only knows what he has seen or heard, he does not have knowledge of the unseen. Knowledge of the unseen is exclusive to our lord -Jala wa 'Aalaa- (as Allaah said):

‎(قُل لَّا یَعۡلَمُ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۚ وَمَا یَشۡعُرُونَ أَیَّانَ یُبۡعَثُونَ)

'Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “None in the heavens and the earth has knowledge of the unseen except Allaah. Nor do they know when they will be resurrected.' [Surat An-Naml 65]

‎* عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِ أَحَدًا}

"˹He (alone) is the˺ Knower of the unseen, disclosing none of it to anyone. Except messengers of His choice."
[Surat Al-Jinn 26 - 27]

Allah -'Aza wa Jala- said after the death of Sulaymaan -alayhe salaatul wa salaam-

Then when We decreed death for him [Sulaiman (Solomon)], nothing informed them (jinns) of his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his Minsa'ah, so when he fell down, the jinns saw clearly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment.
[Surat Saba' 14]

Minsa'ah refers to his stick.

So this statement is false and upon clear misguidance, and it may cause a person to fall into Kufr (disbelief) if it's cited in reference to matters specific to Allaah alone; this falls into disbelief in Allaah -Jala wa 'Alaa-

Preparing for the last ten nights of Ramadhaan
Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen

Chapter: Being generous and diligent in doing what has been enjoined, and increasing in doing more good deeds in the Month of Ramadhaan, and especially more in the last ten days of Ramadhaan.

1222 - Ibn Abbaas رضي الله عنه said: ❝The Prophet ﷺ was the most generous of the people, and he used to be the most generous during the month of Ramadhaan when Jibreel visited him, and Jibreel used to meet him on every night of Ramadhaan till the end of the month. The Prophet ﷺ used to recite the Qur’aan to Jibreel, and when Jibreel met him, he used to be more generous than a fast (rain-bearing) wind (which causes welfare).❞
[Saheehain]

1223 - Aaishah رضي الله عنها narrated: ❝When the last ten days of Ramadhaan began, the Prophet ﷺ used to stay up at night, tighten his waist- wrap, and wake up his family (to pray).❞
