CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WISELY

If you ever choose a friend and informed him of your feelings, do not tell him everything but rather deal with him kindly and gradually as if you are looking after a tree - because if such tree is good the fruits will be good too. And, do not forget to be cautious with him because people change over time.

BEWARE OF YOUR FRIEND A THOUSAND TIMES

Trusting people [unconditionally] and befriending anyone is one of the biggest errors because the worst of enemies are those who used to be friends at one point for they have been exposed to your secrets.

A poet said:

"Beware of your enemy once, but beware of your friend a thousand times. Perhaps a friend might flip, so he would know how to harm you more."

Refutation of the Jahmi who negates direction for Allah

Narration from Imam Abdullah Ibn al-Mubarak Rahimahullāh which clearly demonstrates that he believed in the literal 'Uluww (Highness) and direction for Allah

Imam 'Uthman ad-Daarimi Rahimahullāh in his refutation of Bishr al-Marisi states:

"روى إسحاق بن إبراهيم الحنظلي عن ابن المبارك أنه قال رأس المنارة أقرب إلى الله من أسفله."

Ishaq bin Ibraheem al-Handhali (Ishaq bin Rahawayh) narrated that Abdullah Ibn al-Mubarak said:

"The top of the minaret is closer to Allah than it's bottom."

(Naqd Imam Uthman ad-Darimi ala al-Marisi, 1/504)

Using the same Athar we can conclude, The top of Burj Khalifa in Dubai or Abraj al-Bait in Makkah is closer to Allah than their bottom part.

Whoever refutes this is a Jahmi like his ancestors (Jahm Bin Safwan and Bishr al-Marusi)

Abu Isma'eel al-Harawi (481H) - Rahimahullāh - said:

'They (The Jahamites) - May Allah uglify their articulation - said that Allah is present everywhere and those are the Asharites whom say he isn't in a place and he's not to be described with a direction whilst the caller to Allah (peace be upon him) said to the slave girl of Muawiyah bin al-Hakam: 'Where is Allah?' but they say he is on top as he's below, his direction is unknown and he's not to be described with a place and he's not in the Heavens and he's not in Earth and they negated any direction or limit'

- Dhamm al-Kalaam Wa Ahlu' 5/135

Imām Abu Muhammad Mahmud bin Abil-Qasim bin Badran al-Anmi ad-Dashti al-Hanbali (رحمه الله) stated:

"From Madhhab of People of the Hadith, who are ahl Sunnah and Leaders of the Muslims and Scholars who clarify, they believe and testify that whoever say: There is no limit for Allah and with that they mean: Allah is at every place, or He is not above the Arsh rising as it is affirmed (settled) in the hearts of common people… or there is no direction for Allah nor there is no place for Him, then they became disbelievers from Religion of Islam and are joined with the Mushrikeen."

(ad-Dashti, Ithbat al-Hadd).

Harb bin Ismā'īl al-Kirmani رحمه الله said:

"The Jahmiyyah are the enemies of Allah, they are the ones who claim that the Quran is created, & that there is no known place for Allah, that He is not on a Throne, nor a kursi, & they are kuffar (disbelievers) so beware of them."

[Ar-Radd Ala al-Jahmiyyah]

Muhammad bin Musab al-Ābid:

'Whoever claims that you (Allah ﷻ) do not speak nor do you decend in the hereafter; then he is Kafir in (regards to) your Face who does not know you; I bear witness that you are above the Arsh (Throne) , above the seven heavens; unlike what the enemies of Allah the Zanadiqah (heretics) claim.'

- Kitab as-Sunnah (no. 168), Abdullah bin Imam Ahmad Rahimahullāh

Aba Batin al-Najdi said:

'And the Asharites don't affirm for the Lord his Aboveness over his Heavens nor His establishment above his Throne and call whoever affirms the attributes of Uluw (Highness) and Istiwa (Ascending on the Throne) a Mujassim (the one who ascribes a body to Allah), Mushabihan (the one who likens Allah to His Creation) and this is opposed to what Ahlul Sunnah wa'l Jammah are upon, for verily do they affirm the attribute of Uluww and Istiwa as Allah - Subhanahu - has informed us about that for himself and as his messenger has described him with without 'Takyeef' (denoscription of Howness of Allah's Attributes) and 'Tat'eel' (Denial or Negation of Allah's Attributes).

- ad-Durar as-Saniyyah 1/364
OPEN SECRET!

Zaid ibn Thabit reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever makes the world his most important matter, Allah will confound his affairs and make poverty appear before his eyes and he will not get anything from the world except what has been decreed for him. Whoever makes the Hereafter his most important matter, Allah will settle his affairs and make him content in his heart and the world will come to him although he does not want it.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “Take care of your Hereafter and Allah will take care of your worldly life. Take care of your private life and Allah will take care of your public life.”

Imaam Ibn al-Qayyim (d.751AH) رحمه الله mentioned:

"So as you treat others you shall be treated, so do as you want, for indeed Allaah تعالى will deal with you in the same manner as you treat His servants."

[Saheeh Al-Waabil as-Sayyib. Daar Ibn al-Jawzee, 2nd edition, p.63]
Beloved People And Deeds To Allāh

Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:

أحب الناس إلى الله أنفعهم وأحب الأعمال إلى الله عز وجل سرور تدخله على مسلم أو تكشف عنه كربة أو تقضي عنه دينا أو تطرد عنه جوعا

“The MOST BELOVED of people to Allāh are those who are most BENEFICIAL to mankind, and the MOST BELOVED deeds to Allāh ʿAzza Wa Jall are to make a Muslim HAPPY or to avert DISTRESS from him or to settle his DEBT or to stave HUNGER off him..”

Al-Murrudhi’ reported that he asked Imām Ahmad(رحمه الله )

"How are you today?”

He replied: How can I be while I am required by my Lord to perform obligatory acts of worship, by my Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) to practice his Sunnah, by the two angels to improve my deeds, and my soul urges me to follow it, Shaytān pushes me to commit evil deeds, the Angel of death is waiting to take my life and my children are asking me to provide for them?’”

[Siyār a’lām an Nubalā 11/227]
Sheikh Muhammad Sālih ibn Al-Uthaymeen [d.2001 - رحمه الله] said;

“Every time you hear of an authentic Sunnah of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم spread it, for indeed it will be a reward for you and for everyone who acts upon it on the day of Judgement.”

[Explanation of Riyād us-Saliheen by ibn Al-Uthaymeen]
Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān [may Allāh preserve him] said: “The value of health is [only] known to those who have experienced sickness.

The messenger of Allah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said: ‘Read Sooratul-Baqarah, since taking it is blessed and leaving it is grief and the Batlah (magicians) cannot read it.’

Muawiyah (radiallahu anhu) said: ‘It has reached me that the Batlah are the magicians.’

Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh, The Book of the Traveller’s Prayer , Chapter of Excellence of Reading the Qur’aan and Soorah al-Baqarah.
Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaimeen رحمه الله said:

“Good deeds, good manners and kind treatment conquer the hearts of enemies more than swords conquer them!”

Shaykh Muhammad Amman al-Jami [رحمه الله] said:

«الأدب والأناة والتريث : تزيد الرجل مهابة وثباتاً ؛ والعجلة : قد تجعل الرجل يُستخف في عين الناس.»

*❝Good manners, gentleness and calmness, also having great patience increase a man in respect and status and stability. Haste can perhaps belittle a man in people's eyes.❞*

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله mentions the classical Arab Doctors used to say:

الْحِمْيَةُ رَأْسُ الدَّوَاءِ وَالْبِطْنَةُ رَأْسُ الدَّاءِ

“Diet is the foundation of medicine and the stomach is the foundation of illness.”

#BE #ONE.

I heard the Messenger of Allaah, peace and blessings be upon him, say,

“Verily, the people are like camels. Out of one hundred you will hardly find one suitable to ride.”

Sahih Bukhari 6133
Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Just as there is no life for the earth except with rain, likewise there is no life for the heart except with [beneficial] knowledge.”

Imaam Muhammad ibn Abdul-Wahhaab an-Najdee Allah's mercy be upon said in explanation of the following statement of Allah-

"Verily Ibrahim was a nation (all by himself) devoutly obedient to Allah inclining to truth and he was not from the polytheists." 16/120

"Verily Ibrahim was a nation (all by himself)..." so those who tread the path will not fret from the limited number of those tread this path.

"...devoutly obedient to Allah..." not to leaders and opulent traders.

"...inclining to truth..." not wavering left and right like the actions of the religious scholars who have fallen into trial.

"...and he was not from the polytheists." as opposed to those who increase their masses (standing in allegiance with them) while assuming they are (still) Muslims."

Shaykh Salih al-Shaykh Allah preserve him said after mentioning this tafsir-

"This is from the superior and exemplary tafsirs of far reaching meanings that-

"No is granted except the patient and no one is granted except the possessor of great good." 41/35

Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I requested the Messenger of Allah (swalla-Allaahu alayhi wa-sallam) to teach me a supplication which I could recite in my Salat (prayer). Thereupon he said,

"Recite:

[Allahumma innee zhalamtu nafsee zhulman katheeran, wa-laa yaghfiru al-dhdhunooba illaa Anta, faghfir lee maghfiratan min `indika, warhamnee, innaka Anta al-Ghafoor al-Raheem]

[Meaning: (O Allah! I have considerably wronged myself. There is none to forgive the sins but You. So grant me pardon and have mercy on me. You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Compassionate).'''

Stay Humble, Stay Grounded.

"Understand that life has occassions. One time it is poverty, and another time it is wealth. Once it is honour, and another it is humiliation. Happy is he who remains grounded in each situation."

Ibn al-Jawzi (rahimahullah) [Sayd al-Khatir [p282]
Pride and Stupidity

It is reported that Muhammad Al-Bāqir – Allāh have mercy on him – said, “Never does any pride enter the heart of a man except that his intelligence decreases by the same amount.”

Imām ibn al-Jawzee رحمه الله said:
