Beware Of Mockery.

Do not mock a pain you haven't endured....

'A'isha رضى الله عنها said,

Article: Ramadan and Qiyam

Allah (subḥānahū wa taʿālā) says in the Noble Qur’ān:

“Is one who worships devoutly during the hours of the night, prostrating and standing, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say ‘Are those who know equal to those who do not know?’ Only those who are endowed with insight will take heed” (39:9).

Once, ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) went out on the first night of Ramaḍān. The lamps were shining and the Book of Allah was being recited in the masājid, so he stated, “May Allah illuminate your grave O ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb, just as you illuminated the masājid of Allah with the Qur’ān.”

Qiyām, tahajjud and tarawīḥ are terms used to describe the night prayer in Ramaḍān. In Ramaḍān, the night prayer is done communally and in private. Along with performing tarawīḥ in the masjid, we should perform qiyām at home, especially in the last third of the night, in solitude.

Do Not Grieve Over The Past

Shaykh AbduRahmaan As-Sa'adi [رحمه الله] said:

❝Do not grieve over past matters which have not been destined, from ill health, or loss of wealth or a worldly matter, etc.

Your concern should be with rectification of actions on the day.

Since a person is living in the moment. He should not be saddened for what has passed. Also he should not research into the future where that research would not be of any benefit.

It is upon you to be truthful, fulfill your contracts, keep to one's promises and justice in all dealings.

Fulfilling rights completely and perfectly with a tranquil soul and with truthful pure Eemaan.

Busy yourself with your own mistakes and your matters, rather than the mistakes of the people and their matters.

Deal with everyone according to their situation and condition, whether he is a senior, or youngster, male or female, a leader or a follower.

Be gentle and merciful to everyone even animals and livestock, since indeed Allaah is merciful to his merciful worshippers.

Be balanced in all your matters, and open up your mind to every religious and worldly benefit.❞

*al-qardh* - "a loan"

Allah says in surah al-Baqarah:

[ مَّن ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً]

"Who would loan Allah a good loan so that He would multiply it for him many times over?" [2:245]

In his tafsir of this ayah, al-Baghawi mentions:

[ القرض اسم لكل ما يعطيه الإنسان ليجازى عليه فسمى الله تعالى عمل المؤمنين له على رجاء ما وعدهم من الثواب قرضا لأنهم يعملونه لطلب ثوابه]

The word *al-qardh* - "a loan" is a term for anything that a person gives to be payed back for later. So Allah calls the deeds that the believers do for Him while hoping for the rewards He has promised them a *qardh* because they are doing these deeds in pursuit of His rewards.

[Tafsir al-Baghawi 1/295]

"O ALLAH FORGIVE ALL MY SINS"

Abu Hurairah (radiAllahuanhu) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say in his Sujood (Prostration):

Allahum-maghfir li dhanbi kullahu: diqqahu wa jillahu, wa 'awwalahu wa akhirahu, wa alaniyatahu wa sirrahu.

(O Allah! Forgive all my sins, the small and the great, first and the last, the open and secret)." [Muslim].

Pronunciation:

Allahummag-firli zambi kul-lahu, diq-kaqu, wa jil-lahu, wa aw-wa la hu wa aaa-khi-ra-hu, wa aa-la ni-ya-ta-hu wa sir-rahu.

Meaning:

Abu Huraira (radiAllahuanhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alayhiwa sallam) used to say while prostrating himself: O Lord, forgive me all my sins, small and great, first and last, open and secret.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever prays at night reciting ten verses will not be recorded among the negligent; whoever prays at night reciting a hundred verses will be recorded among those who are obedient to Allah; and whoever prays at night reciting a thousand verses will be recorded among those who receive huge rewards.” [Abu Dawud (1398)]

Let’s put this hadith into perspective:

⤷ 10 verses: Al-Fatihah + Al-Ikhlas
⤷ 100 verses: Al-Fatihah + Al-Zalzalah to Al-Nas
⤷ 1000 verses: Juz Tabarak + Juz ʿAmma

Beware of being among the ‘negligent’, make an effort to be among ‘those who are obedient to Allah’, and go all out to be among ‘those who receive huge rewards’, especially in these last nights of Ramadan!

Losing hope in Allah comes from the whispers of shaytan telling you that he doesn’t hear you anymore or that you should stop praying for things. Dua is the most powerful thing humans have to find what they’re searching for.

O'Allah opens to us the doors of Your Mercy Ameen.🤍🕋

The Prophet ﷺ advised those going through great stress and difficulty to make the following du'a:

اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

"Ya Allah, it is Your Mercy I hope for. Don't leave me to my own devices for even the blink of an eye. Rectify all my affairs. There is no God but You."

(Allahumma rahmataka arju falaa takilni ilaa nafsi tarfata 'ayn, wa asslih li sha'ni kullahu, laa ilaha illa anta) - Abu Dawud 5090, Hasan.

Reflect on how when things get tough, the solution *starts* by reviving one's iman: calling upon our Creator alone and declaring that He's the only One truly worth it as well, jalla wa 'ala.

Ya Allah, accept our du'a. Ameen.

“If a Muslim does not complete reciting the Qur’an in Ramadan, the month of the Qur’an, he will not complete it the rest of the year unless Allah wills. Not completing it is a let-down that requires consistent duʿa to relieve one of this calamity and remove heedlessness from one’s heart.”

" Laylatul Qadr on *EVEN* nights ?? "

This hadith is one of the biggest indicators that laylatul Qadr can easily fall on even nights which most of the brothers are heedless of.. If we are really dying to get hold of this night then this hadith is a must to consider -

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The Night of Qadr is in the last ten nights of the month (Ramadan), either on the first nine or in the last (remaining) seven nights (of Ramadan)." Ibn Abbas added, "Search for it on the 24th" (Bukhari)

The words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ must be paid attention to -

Or when 7 Remain

And in other Hasan Saheeh narration of Jami at-
Tirmidhi 794 the words -

'Search for it when 9 REMAIN, or; when 7 REMAIN , or; when 5 REMAIN , or; during the last three nights'

So, brothers according to these reports the blessed night is calculated from the END of the month of Ramadan (may be 29 or 30 in total) about which NONE knows beforehand untill the moon of Eid is sighted. If the Ramadan totally had only odd 29, then ODD minus ODD means it will fall on EVEN nights !! and if Ramadan totally had 30, then EVEN minus ODD means it will fall on ODD nights !! Combining after all texts on these, scholars say that Laylatul Qadr may easily fall on EVEN nights as well, SO search for it in all of the last 10 nights if you really value it ! May Allah grant us all this blessed night of power.

Reading the Qur'an fast with no understanding or Reading it with Tadabbur(pondering) which is better?

Allāh ﷻ says:

˹This is˺ a blessed Book which We have revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ so that they may contemplate its verses, and people of reason may be mindful.
[38:29]

Ibn Jarīr at-Tabari رحمه الله would say, “I am astonished with one who recites the Qur’an and he does not know its ta’weel (i.e. tafseer), how (then) will he taste the sweetness of his recitation?!”

Shaykh Abdur razzaq al-badr حفظه الله said in one of his sitting.

Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

"Reward for reading the Qur'an with tartil, Melody/beautiful recitation, and with tadabbur (pondering) is greater in it's value/quality and reward of reading the Qur'an quickly/very fast it's reward is based on it's number

So the one who read with melodious beautiful recitation(and pondering) is like the one who gave sadaqah with valuable/precious jewels, or his (reward) is like the one who set a slave free - the value/quality of the slave who is tremendous

And the one who read fast lots of verses - (with little understanding/pondering) Is like the one who gave charity with lots of darahim or the likes of releasing many slaves - each of whose value is less"

To conclude the one who reads the Qur'an with tadabbur(pondering and understanding) what is being read the effect of that on the slave and the yield that one will get from reading with ( pondering and understanding) is extremely tremendous, where it will lead to increase in iman, in which he'll be actualizing the purpose of reading the Quran. Therefore the people of knowledge they advice the one who reads the Qur'an, his concern/worry should not be when will i finish/make khatm of surah rather his concern should be how can I gain guidance from (reading)the Qur'an?

Avoid visiting to marketplaces in the last ten nights of Ramadan.

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “The most beloved of places to Allah are the mosques, and the most hated of places to Allah are the markets.”(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 671)

This Hadith shows that mosques are the best places in Allah's eyes. In mosques, people learn about their faith, establish their prayers, remember Allah, and seek knowledge. In comparison, Allah doesn't like markets. In the markets, people talk nonsense, swear, cheat, and lie, and they don't even think to mention Allah, the Most High.

Things that may prevent your prayers from being answered, even in Lailatul Qadr.

1. Disobedience to Allāh.

You want your cries answered by Allāh but you refuse to answer His own call. How sensible is that? Answering Allāh's call means following His injunctions and doing away with sins.

"And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright."
[Surah Al-Baqarah 186]

2. Spouse's displeasure.

(a) A man who deliberately deprives his wife her rights - feeding, clothing, shelter etc.- and the woman becomes displeased with him may not have his prayers answered. This is because husbandly duties sincerely discharged makes Allāh pleased with the man.

(b) A woman whose husband is displeased with automatically risks her prayers from being answered. When you disobey your husband's orders and he becomes unhappy with you, your prayers may unfortunately be to the gallery.

3. Parents' displeasure.
If you want your prayers quickly answered, then, go make your parents happy, even if they are non-muslims. Your father is your father; and your mother is your mother, regardless of their faith(s).

"The Prophet was reported to have said: "Allāh's pleasure is in the pleasure of parents; and Allāh's displeasure is in the displeasure of parents."

4. People's rights withheld.

You have in your possession someone else's property unjustly acquired or even stolen. Allāh may refuse to answer your call as long as the person(s) is not happy with you.

5. Harām source(s) of living.

You proudly engage in prohibited businesses and you want your prayers answered by Allāh. Hmm! Here is what the Prophet said:

". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
"...Then he mentioned a man who makes a long journey in a dishevelled and dusty state, who stretches out his hands to heaven saying, “My Lord, my Lord,” when his food, drink and clothing are of an unlawful nature, and he is nourished by what is unlawful, and asked how such a person would be given an answer."

The difference between sakeenah (tranquillity) and waqar (poise and dignity)...

Imam an-Nawawi رحمه الله said:

❝The difference between sakeenah (tranquillity) and waqaar (poise and dignity) is that indeed sakeenah is being attentive and careful in movements and in avoidance of futility. And waqar manifests as lowering of sight, lowering of voice and not getting distracted by the worldly affairs.❞
