When going through hardships and a tough time remember the story of Hajar عليه السلام, wife of prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام abul ambiya "The Father of Prophets". Her husband was a prophet and she gave birth to a prophet Ismael عليه السلام.
Her struggle, her taqwa requires constant and sincere reflection.
Lesson one from the story of Hajar عليه السلام is Taqwa.
Imagine standing all alone in a desert with a new born baby in your arms and you have ran out of food and water, all you see is sand as far as your eyes can see.
Visualize that and imagine how scared would you be.
YOU WILL FEEL HOPELESS, WORRIED AND ANXIOUS.
That is how our mother Hajar felt.
Although, regardless of who left her there and why, Hajar knew that Rizq is from Allah, and that Allah would never forsake or abandon her.
That's the message I take from it. That as an amatullah I know for a fact that Allah will never forsake or abandon me as long as I take action and put my trust in Him.
The character of Hajar is what we should aspire to. Her sense of faith and reliance on Allah and her perseverance in what seemed an utterly hopeless situation is the lesson.
She raised her son Ismael عليه السلام, alone in the desert, without any family around and in such a way that Ismael was still obedient to the very father who left him in the desert.
Did she or Ismael throw a fit when Ibrahim عليه السلام showed up years later and said Allah wants me to slaughter you son?
No.
Hajar عليه السلام trusted that Allah would provide, and she sought out that provision.
Today as a result of that call to Allah, billions of Muslims from around the world and across generations commemorate her sunnah of running from safa to marwah while performing Umrah and Allah gave this Ummah the well of zam-zam because of her tawakkul and taqwa in Allah.
These two blessings showcase how immense her tawakkul and yaqeen in her rabb was. Her tawakkul in Allah was so strong that Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه comments on the blessing of zamzam and says "𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐚’𝐞𝐞𝐥'𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫! 𝐇𝐚𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐳𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐳𝐚𝐦 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡."
✦ 𝐓𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐤𝐮𝐥 is the reason we have Zamzam.
✦ 𝐓𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐤𝐮𝐥 is the reason the dates fell from the tree to feed Maryam عليه السلام during her labour pains, because a pregnant woman in pain cannot shake a tree.
✦ 𝐓𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐤𝐮𝐥 is the reason striking the staff split the sea for Musa عليه السلام.
Let's remember she is our mother. Her example is the best example to emulate. Her trials elevated her. During her lowest points she had the highest level of eeman and faith.
When things get tough, we need to stop whining. Instead focus on duas, ask Allah that he gives you tawfeeq, sabr and tawakkul that is unmatched and doesn't waver.
The second lesson is about being okay with not witnessing your true legacy in this temporary lifetime. So, what do I mean by that? When we talk about legacy, did Hajar عليه السلام witness her entire legacy in her lifetime?
𝐍𝐎 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐍𝐎𝐓.
Hajar عليه السلام had zero idea that billions of Muslims across generations would commemorate her sunnah while performing umrah.
Similarly, don’t worry if your legacy is not visible in a few years or even in your lifetime. If you are sincere and you do good deeds for the sake of Allah alone, Allah will bless you with a good legacy and inshaAllah the fruition, result and reward will be visible be on the day of judgement.
Some legacies are visible in our lifetime and some will inshaAllah be visible on the day of judgment.
𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲.
Just focus on the sincerity of your intentions and perform many good deeds.
🤲 May Allah bless us with tawakkul, ikhlaas, ihsan and unending sadaqaye jariya, may Allah keep us all sincere and steadfast in our affairs – Allahumma ameen.

True intellectual people aren't those with degrees or high honors, nor are they those who pass or excel on board exams. These accomplishments are meaningless if the person who has them does not know or, worse, does not practice his Deen.
True intelligent people are those who fully comprehend the purpose of life, walk in the footsteps of the Salaf, and live according to the Qur'an and Sunnah, even if they lack secular knowledge diplomas.

🖋 If someone's shut the door in your face, don't ever try to knock on it twice. Just walk away and don't look back.
You must understand that it only happened because Allah allowed them to shut the door in your face and He let that happen for a reason: the reason is that Allah has prepared for you another door ready to open as soon as you will reach it in the path of your life, a door much better than the one that was shut in your face.
Sometimes it is necessary that a certain door closes to allow a better one to open.
Trust Allah's plans for you, for they are always endlessly better than your wishes ...

_Amr Bin Shuaib narrates from his father who narrates from his grandfather that, Nabi ﷺ said:_
“Those who perform Hajj and ‘Umrah are the delegation of Allah. If they ask, they are granted. If they call unto Allah in du’a, their du’as are answered. If they spend, they will be replaced…”
~ Shu’abul Iman, Hadith: 3809

The affair of backbiting is a dangerous matter, since a person can fall into it without noticing. So beware of this and it is upon you to repent to Allah from this.

Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:
"Do you know what a man is? A true man is he who finds himself alone with sins, and has the power to commit them and his lusts urges him to quench its thirst, but he thinks about Allāh looking at him, so he feels embarrassed from angering Him
and thus his desire goes away.
But it seems that you only abandon things that you do not have desire for, or things that are not desirable in the first place, or even things that you are unable to have! This is your habit!.”
[Captured Thoughts | Pg. 352]

Allah will compensate you
You do so much for someone & get so little or nothing in return.
You are right there for someone when they are in need, yet you are avoided when you are needy.
You pick their calls at 3 am in the morning & console them & help them have a peaceful sleep, yet you don't even get a callback & have a miserable sleepless night.
You may defend their actions every single time, but one wrong action from you is heavily penalised .
You won't even look at your schedule if they need to talk, & they will look at their schedule & then decide if they can talk.
You may give them a lift in your car totally going out of your way, yet they may not even walk a mile for you.
You may try to make them comfortable by leaving your comfort zone, & they are too rigid to change for you.
You get happy at their littlest of achievements, & they never pat your back for the same.
This happens in friendships, relationships, workplaces, families where we keep giving & giving & not get reciprocated. It hurts. It hurts because you seek reciprocation from the creation, instead of the Creator, & therein the cause of your pain lies.
Doing good & expecting people to do good to you will leave you disappointed. But doing good & expecting good from ALLAH, will never disappoint you.
Allah is noticing everything from your tiniest of efforts, to your big sacrifices, the pure & selfless love that you carry in your heart, the sincere intentions in your heart. He knows.
Do it, to expect a reward from Him, do it for His sake, do it because the world may not see but He does. If you do this, your heart won't feel heavy.

Sometimes when we’re experiencing hardships in our lives we fail to see Allāh’s Wisdom and Mercy in the hardships. We become consumed with the hardship itself. However difficult the hardships may be, Allāh always helps the believers and intends good for them. Indeed, Allāh has His plans.🥀🌸
Never let your hardship fool you into thinking Allāh doesn't love you. It's through hardships that Allāh tests you, removes your sins, purifies your soul, makes you believe nothing lasts forever, and that with patience you can find peace and the Mercy of Allāh encompasses all things. May Allāh, Most High, grant you all ease and well-being.🤲🏿🥀🌺

QUESTION: I have two households which are 15 kilometers apart from one other. I want to offer an Udhiyah Sacrifice. Do I offer a separate Udhiyah at each house, or do I slaughter at one house only? Please know that I have already slaughtered one sacrifice at one of the houses, and I brought the family of the second house to be there for the sacrifice. Also, are the bones of the animal sacrificed for Udhiyah allowed to be cut after the slaughter? And are the horns of the Udhiyah animal allowed to be cut after the slaughter?
ANSWER by the Permanent Committee for Religious Verdicts, headed by Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allah have Mercy on him):
يجزئ عنك أضحية واحدة لبيتيك ما دام أن صاحبها واحد، وإن ذبحت في كل واحد من البيتين أضحية مستقلة فهو أفضل، ولا شيء في كسر عظام وقرون الأضاحي.
It is sufficient for you to offer a single Udhiyah Sacrifice, on behalf of both of your households (together), so long as the caretaker (you) is one person. [1] However, it would be more virtuous for you to offer a separate Udhiyah Sacrifice at each of the two houses.
Also, there is nothing wrong with cutting the bones or horns of the animal sacrificed for Udhiyah.
And through Allah Alone is all success. May Allah raise the rank of our Prophet Muhammad, and that of his family and companions, and may He grant them all peace.

[1] In another verdict, the Standing Committee mentioned that the Prophet (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) slaughter once on behalf of his house, while it is known that he had multiple wives and households. (10/425 of the second compilation)

The Fox & The Camel (business advice)
A camel was standing in a stream of water, a fox asked: ‘𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿?’
The camel replied: ‘𝗨𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀.’
The fox jumped in and got submerged in the water, it almost drowned!
The fox said to the camel: ‘𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀!’
The camel replied: ‘𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀.’
———————-
Moral of the story:
When you hear these rich motivational speakers say things like: ‘quit your 9-5’, ‘you don’t need a Degree’, or ‘live a rich lifestyle’, don’t fall for it.
They’re big enough to take the hits when things go wrong, most people cannot do that.
They may be able to survive without education, but a poor man’s son or daughter will disadvantage themselves if they don’t pursue education.
There is a direct correlation between education and earnings, those 3-4 people they mention who made it without education are the exception, not the rule.
What is up to the knee of the tall camel, will drown the little fox.

Allāh تعالى stated what means:
"On the day when no wealth or children shall be of benefit, except the one who comes to Allāh with a pure heart."
[Surah Ash-Shu'arā:88-89]
Al-Hāfith Ibn Rajab رحمه الله stated:
"The pure heart is the one that doesn't have anything within it of love for that which Allāh dislikes. What enters into that is the heart being free from open and indiscreet Shirk (polytheism), evil desires, innovation (in the religion), corruption, major and minor acts of disobedience that are apparent and hidden."
[Sharh Hadīth Shaddād bin Aws]

The Excellence Of The Day Of ‘Arafah
Allaah, The Most High states in His Book:
﴿وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُود﴾
❝And by the Promised Day [i.e. the Day of Resurrection]; And by the witnessing day [i.e. Friday], and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat [Hajj] the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]…❞
[Qur’ān, Surah Al-Burooj, (2-3) | Translated By Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan]
-
From Abee Hurairah [رضي الله عنه] who said that the Prophet [ﷺ] said:
❝The Promised Day is: The Day of Resurrection; and the day which is witnessed is: the day of ‘Arafah; and the witness is: the day of Friday. And the sun has not risen nor has it set upon a day that is better than it. In it is an hour in which a believing servant does not coincide supplicating to Allaah for good – except that Allaah will answer him; and nor does he seek refuge from anything except Allaah will grant him refuge from it.❞
[Reported By At-Tirmidhee | Al-‘Allaamah Al-Albaanee: 'Hasan' In His Saheeh Sunan At-Tirmidhee, (No. 3339) | Translated By Abū Haatim M. Farooq]
-
Ibn Rajab [رحمه الله] said:
❝Upon this basis; if the day of ‘Arafah falls on a Friday – then there is incorporated into that day the witness and the witnessed.❞
[Lataa-if Wal Ma’aarif, (Page: 375) | Translated By Abū Haatim M. Farooq]
-
From ‘Umar Bin Al-Khattaab [رضي الله عنه] that a man from the Jews said to him:
❝'O leader of the believers; there is an Aayah in your Book which you read; if it had been revealed to the like of us Jews then we would have taken that day as an ‘Eid.' So he said: 'which Aayah is that?' he said:
﴿الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإسْلامَ دِينًا﴾
«This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islaam as your religion» [Al-Maa-idah: 3]
So ‘Umar said: 'Indeed we know of that day as well as the place in which it was revealed upon the Prophet [ﷺ] - and he was standing at ‘Arafaat on a Friday.'❞
[Reported By Al-Bukhārī, (No. 45) | Muslim, (No. 7443) | Translated By Abū Haatim M. Farooq]
-
From ‘Aisha [رضي الله عنها] who said that the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] said:
❝There is no day in which Allaah sets free more slaves from the Hell-Fire than He does on the Day of ‘Arafah.❞
[Reported By Muslim, (No. 1277) | Translated By Abū Haatim M. Farooq]
