Forgotten Sunnah : Praying 2 rak'ah after the 'Asr prayer
Many people as well as some scholars are unaware of the fact that praying after 'Asr is not forbidden, rather the times when prayer or prostration is haraam are:
When the sun is in the process of RISING (i.e during dawn)
When the sun is directly overhead at noon until it has passed its zenith
When the sun is just about to set or in the process of SETTING .
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "There are two prayers that the messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never neglected to pray in my house secretly or publicly: Two Rak'ah before Fajr and two Rak'ah after Asr."
And,
isha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Anytime Allah's messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) came to my house after Asr he prayed two Rak'ah.
[Ref: Sahih Bukhari 592, 593 or Book 10, Hadith 565, 566,567]
And,
Narrated

The accusation that we are separating and dividing
Shaykh and Mujaddid of this era Muhammad Nasir Uddeen Al-Albaani [رحمه الله] said:
❝Nowadays, those who criticise us by saying that you people separate and divide! We ask them, we separate what from what? We're callers to the Book and the Sunnah and the Manhaj of the Salaf As-Salih, so are you with us?
If he says, 'I am with you', so then we have neither separated nor divided.
If he says, 'No I'm not with you', then you're the one who has separated from us!❞

There was a time when if a person wanted to acquire a Hadith, he would travel for months, and if the person from whom he wanted to get the Hadith did not properly observe the prayer, he would not take knowledge from him. Today, we have people who don't even pray the five daily prayers, yet they use their own intellect to accept or reject Hadith.

“Whoever finds their joy in Salah in this life, will find their joy in being close to Allāh in the Hereafter, and will also find his joy in Allāh in this world.
Whoever finds his joy in Allāh will be content with everything. And whoever does not find his joy in Allāh, will be destroyed by his feelings of grief and regret for worldly matters.”

❝No one belittles or mocks his brother for falling into a sin except that he falls into the same. If news reaches you that a person has erred, then say to yourself: May Allah forgive him and me.❞
- Ibn Al-Qayyim
● You judged a couple without children and your children grew up to be a test for you.
- Their time came and they were blessed with children.
● You judged an unmarried sister and your marriage soon became filled with hardships and struggles.
- Her time came she got married late but with the best man for her.
● You judged someone without a job and lost all your savings in next few years.
- She struggled for a few years and then landed her dream job.
● You judged someone for not wearing hijaab and some of your darkest secrets got revealed publicly.
- She is now a hijabi that inspires others to be modest.
Check your heart for none with an atom of Pride shall enter Paradise.
📚 Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No one who has the weight of a seed of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.” A man said, “But a man likes to have nice clothes and nice shoes.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty. Arrogance is to disregard the truth and to look down upon people.”
[Sahih Muslim]
❝If a person shames or mocks his brother for a fault, perhaps Allāh will have mercy upon him and cure him, and then afterwards afflict the mocker with that fault.❞

❝If you speak ill of people, if you mock people, then Allah will test you with the same thing.❞
- Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi
Some of them repent and turn back to their Lord, or else the punishment (hadd) is carried out on them. So it is not permissible to criticize them because their souls have been purified by their repentance or the punishment.
📚 The Prophet ﷺ said: “The one who repents from sin is like one who has never sinned.”
[Sunan Ibn Maajah]
It may be that what he meant is that your criticizing your brother for his sin is an even greater sin than his, because it means that you feel pride in your obedience and you are praising yourself for that, and claiming to be free from sin, whereas your brother has fallen into sin.
But it may be that his feeling humble because of his sin and what has happened to him, such as his feeling humble and submissive, thinking less of himself, ridding himself of pious pretensions, arrogance and self-admiration, standing before Allah with his head bowed, his gaze lowered and his heart broken, it may be that all of that is better for him than your feeling proud of your obedience, thinking that you are doing much good, believing that by doing so you are important, and reminding Allah and mankind of that.
❝The groaning of the sinners is more beloved to Allah than the tasbeeh of the conceited. A sin that leads to humility is more beloved to Him than an act of obedience which fills a person with conceit.❞
- Ibn Al Qayyim

Ibn Kathīr mentions that in the year 478 AH (1085 CE) a disease and plague accompanied by severe fever broke out in Iraq, Syria and Hijaz.
It caused both domestic and wild animals to die, leaving the people with no meat or milk. It was accompanied by black winds and thunderbolts that brought down entire trees. The people thought that Judgement Day had arrived!
In order to combat this epidemic, the Abbasid Caliph Al-Muqtadī bi Amrillāh (d. 487 AH/1094 CE) commanded that everyone strive to command the good and forbid the evil.
Every musical instrument was crushed and destroyed, bottles of alcohol were smashed and spilled, and the wicked were exiled from the land. Soon thereafter the disease disappeared.

You felt it's not easy to move on because:
▪️You lost a loved one?
▪️Your job?
▪️Your properties?
Or maybe, you feel you've lost everything!
No! Do not despair in the Mercy of Allah (ﷻ) for this is a chance to win His pleasure.
Allah says,
*And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient*
(2:155)
Somewhere else,

*Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allaah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.*
(29:2-3)

Many before you were tested. The Prophets of Allah (عليه السلام) were tested and were successful because of their patience.
💠 Ibrahim (عليه السلام) was thrown into the fire.
💠 Yunus (عليه السلام) was swallowed by a whale.
💠 Yaqub ( عليه السلام) lost his eyesight.
💠 Ayyub ( عليه السلام) was tested with his health.
💠 Muhammad (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) was an orphan who also lost his children at their tender ages.
They were all successful because of their sincere trust in Allah (ﷻ) and patience.
--
It was narrated from Mus'ab bin Sa'd (رضي الله عنه) that his father, Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas (رضي الله عنه), said:
"I said: "O Messenger of Allah, which people are most severely tested?' He said: _*"The Prophets, then the next best and the next best. A person is tested according to his religious commitment. If he is steadfast in his religious commitment, he will be tested more severely, and if he is frail in his religious commitment, his test will be according to his commitment. Trials will continue to afflict a person until they leave him walking on the earth with no sin on him.'"*_

The Patient and their Reward
In continuation of Ayah 155 (above) from Surah al-Baqarah, Allaah (ﷻ) says:
*(Those) Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allaah, and indeed to Him we will return." Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.*
(2:156-157)
That is, when they are touched with afflictions, they do not speak ill of their Lord nor seek help from other than Him, their reward is blessing from their Lord, and He rewards them beyond what has been taken from them.
What to do in Periods of Afflictions
Allah (ﷻ) says,
*O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.*
(2:153)
---
And how Merciful is Allah (ﷻ), He promises not once but twice that:.
*For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.*

Rasool-Allah Sallallahu Alaihi wasallam said Whoever gets up when the sun has risen (Time of Duha or Ishraq) and does wudoo (Ablution) and does it well, then stands and prays two rakahs, he will be as free of his sins as the day his mother bore him

Keep your blessings hidden. If you are happy and blessed, stay silent about it. You do not have to tell the world, Wallahi evil eye is real. Not everyone wants to see you win. Trust me, nowadays even the closest family/friends you have, many of them are secretly envious of you. So stay hidden. Because many times, you destroy your own blessings by announcing it to the world. I understand we get excited and want to tell the world how thankful we are for our blessings, but isn't it enough to tell Allah how thankful you are? Allah cares, people don't.

Narrated by Abu Huraira (RA):
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
“There is a group of Allaah’s angels who move about the streets searching for the people who mention Allaah (swt). When they find a group doing that, they call each other, “Here is what you are looking for.” Then they cover that group with their wings right up to the sky.
...
When these angels return to the heavens, their Lord asks them, although He knows the answer, “What were My Servants saying?” They say, “They were describing Your holiness and greatness, and were busy praising and glorifying You.”
Allaah (swt) then asks, “Have they seen Me?” The angels reply, “By Allaah! They have not seen You.”
Allaah (swt) says, “What would they have done if they could see me?” The angels reply, “They would then be even more busy in their worship, glorification, and praise.”
Then Allaah (swt) asks, “What did they want from Me?” The angels reply, “They asked You for Jannah (Heaven).”
Allaah (swt) says, “Have they seen it?” They answer, “No, by You! They have not seen it.”
Allah (swt) says, “What would they have done if they had seen it?” The angels answer, “Had they seen it, they would desire it more eagerly, and would work harder to deserve it.”
Then Allaah (swt) asks, “From what thing did they want Me to protect them?” The angels answer, “They wanted to be protected from Hell.”
Allaah (swt) says, “Have they seen it?” They answer, “No, by You! They have not seen it.”
Allaah (swt) says, “What would they have done if they had seen it?” The angels answer, “Had they seen it, they would have feared it and run from it even more.”
Then Allaah (swt) says, “Be My witnesses: I have forgiven them!”
One of the angels then says, “But among them was a person who is not one of them. He had simply come for something he needed.”
Allaah (swt) says, “I have forgiven him too, just because he happened to sit with them. Anyone who sits with those people will not be a loser.”

Are u Unhappy with the Qadr of Allah
So many of us fall into this, read & examine yourself akhawaat & change ur attitude:
That’s just great! This is why I hate Mondays!”
“What is wrong with this laptop? Another virus!! And of course this would happen NOW, when I have all this important work to finish!!”
“The car seems to break down every time I’m running late!”
“My stupid cellphone keeps shutting down…!”
“Oh great! One more red light! As if I’m not late enough!”
“I stoved my toe on that stupid table!”
These small everyday trials we face and the emotions we react with are all part of our personal test. Our reactions, beliefs, and statements are all being recorded!
With the above mentioned complaints and reactions, who are we actually displeased with? We know that the table didn’t do anything to our toe, right? We know that cars, cellphones, and laptops don’t actually choose to do things to harm us in reality, right?
So then, again – WHO or WHAT are we really displeased with when uttering these kinds of statements?
We desperately need our spouses, friends, and companions to remind us, quite simply, with the following question:
Are you unhappy with the Qadr of Allaah?
Let us replace the bad reactions mentioned with the very best guidance available, the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad
“…And if something (bad) befalls you, do not say, ‘Had I only done such-and-such, then such-and-such would have happened, rather say: Qadrullaahi, wa maa shaa’ fa’ala (This is from the Qadr of Allaah, and He does whatever He wills).” [Saheeh Muslim]
Let us affirm everything we face as the Qadr of Allaah, submit to Allaah being pleased with the trial He (and no one else) has chosen for us, and be afraid of a bad reaction that would be written against us and handed to us on the Day of Account.
And Allaah knows best.

LIFE IS SHORT; CHERISH THE HAPPY MOMENTS
The intelligent person knows that real life is the life lived in happiness and tranquility, and that this life is very short. Therefore, he should not make it even shorter with anxiety and endless worries. This contradicts a meaningful existence. Let him be tenaciously stingy with his life and not allow large portions of it to be robbed from him by anxieties and worries.
This is applicable to the righteous and the wicked; however, the believer has the greatest share of this and the beneficial portion in this life and the next.

Deeds Which Are Equal To The Reward Of Hajj
Abu Umamah narrated that the Messenger of Allaah [ﷺ] said:
❝Whoever leaves his home having Wudu going to pray the obligatory prayer then his reward is equal to the person performing Hajj whilst in the state of Ihram.
Whoever goes out to pray the Dhuha prayer in the Masjid nothing tires him out except that then his reward is that of a person performing Umrah.
Praying a prayer after another prayer where no falsehood takes place between them then that is written in the Book of good deeds.❞
[Collected By Abu Dawood | Sh. Al-Albānī Graded: 'Hasan' In Saheeh Targheeb, (No. 320) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath Al-Anbiyya]
The Scholar of Hadeeth, Shaykh AbdulMuhsin Al-Abbad [حفظه الله] commented:
❝This means, that whoever performed Wudu and went out to the Masjid wanting to perform a prayer from the obligatory prayers, which Allaah has obligated upon him, which are the five prayers. For this, his reward is like the reward of a person in the state of Ihraam performing the Hajj who wears the clothing of Hajj.
This means, that Allaah [تعالى] rewards the similar to a person in the state of Ihraam Performing the Hajj.
One person went out to perform an obligatory prayer and the person in the state of Ihraam went out to perform a great worship, so the reward of that person is similar to the reward of this person. Allaah’s virtue is vast.❞

If a person's words can temporarily heal you, imagine what Allah's words can do to you💕
Uthman bin Affan
"If our hearts were truly pure, we would never get enough of the Words of our Lord, and I hate that one day passes with me not looking in the Mushaf."

Hadith on Fitnah: Trials will immerse hearts of people in desires
Hudhayfah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Tribulation will be exposed to the hearts of people like a reed mat woven, stick by stick. Any heart afflicted by them will have a black mark put into it, but any heart that rejects them will have a white mark put into it. Thus, there will be two kinds of hearts: one is pure like a white gemstone; it will not be harmed by any trial as long as the heavens and earth endure. The other is black and dusty like a worn-out vessel, neither acknowledging good nor rejecting evil, rather absorbed in its desires.”
