Did you know?

The brightest star in our sky is called Sirius & is mentioned in the Qur’an by name in chapter "The Star".

And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرَىٰ

Quran 53:49

1400 years ago people knew the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius, however nobody knew the distance to this star.

The word "Star" & word "Earth" are separated by 861 letters. Today we know that Sirius is 861 centi light-years away from Earth. 8.61 light-years is equivalent to 861 centi light-years. The distance to Sirius is 861 centi light-years.

Astonishing isn't it!

WIDESPREAD & POPULAR INAUTHENTIC AHADITH

"It has been narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said:

The first (10 days) of Ramadan is mercy, the middle (10 days) is forgiveness and the last (10 days) is being freed from the Hellfire.

Collected by lbn Abi Dunya in Fadail Ramadan (37).

Reported by Al-'Uqayli in Al-Du'afa' (2/162), Ibn 'Ady in Al-Kamil (325/4), Al-Khatib al- Baghdadi in Al-Muwadih Li-Auham Al-Jam'i wa Al-Tafriq (147/2).

Declared 'Munkar' (Rejected) by Imam al-Albāni in Silsilah al-Da'ifah 1569 "

Rather, as Imām ibn Bāz (رحمه الله) & Allāmah al-Fawzān (حفظه الله) said, the WHOLE ENTIRE Month is a Month of Mercy, Forgiveness & being freed from the Hellfire!

O Muslims! Indeed the Taraweeh prayer is a worship and not just (robotic-type) movements and actions that the person doesn't know what he's saying or doing. The point is worshipping Allah, not enumeration of the raka'at (counting them down).

‎“When you burden the heart with (deep thoughts over) worldly concerns and grief,

‎and are careless (negligent) when it comes to the devotion of Dhikr which is what (truly) gives the heart strength and life,

‎then you are like a traveller who overburdens his riding animal while depriving it of food.

‎Quickly will it collapse, unable to continue the journey.”

Heal your heart with Qur'ān

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

“If you read (the Qur'ān) with contemplation, even if over a (single) ayah, it is a key to healing your heart. Even if repeated a hundred times and for the (whole) night. Reading an ayah with contemplation and understanding is better than reading to completion without tadabbur and understanding. It is more beneficial for the heart and ensures gain in faith, and in tasting sweetness of the Qur'ān.”

The Qur'an states:
وما تسقط من ورقة إلا يعلمها!
'𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝘀.' (6:59).

It says in old books:
ما جرى ذباب بين اثنين إلا بقدر!!
'𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘢 𝘧𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦,
𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥.'

Qadrullaahi, wa maa shaa’ fa’ala

The number of rain-drops that fall on earth, the number of grains of sand in a desert, and anything less or more - it's all in a written record. The person who firmly believes in this can endure even the biggest calamities in life.

What the lion cannot manage to do the fox can. The fox has many tricks and recognises traps but cannot flee from the wolves. The lion rules and frightens the wolves. Therfore have the heart of a lion, eye of the tiger, beware of being crazy like a fox, and adapting like a chameleon.

One of the benefits of fasting: to sympathize with the poor

Ibn Rajab narrates:
ذكر الإمام ابن رجب في كتابه لطائف المعارف ص 314 عن بعض السلف أنَّه سئل: "لِمَ شُرِع الصيام؟ فقال: ليذوق الغني طعم الجوع فلا ينسى الجائع".
A pious predecessor was asked: '𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗱?'
He replied: '𝗦𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁/𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿.'
('Lataa'if al-ma'aarif', p. 314).

When the rich taste the hunger that the poor feel, they will have more sympathy for the poor, and they will be more inclined to help the poor and destitute.

These acts bring a person closer to piety (taqwa), which is the ultimate goal of fasting.

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever among you sees evil, let him change it with his hand. If he cannot do so, then with his tongue. If he cannot do so, then with his heart, which is the weakest level of faith.”

THE 3 TYPES OF PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE..

1. The Leaf people

2. The Branch people

3. The Root people

LEAF PEOPLE:

These are people who come into your life just for a season. You can't depend on them because they are weak. They only come to take what they want, but if the wind comes they will leave.

You need to be careful of these people because they love you when things are okay, but when the wind comes they will leave you BRANCH PEOPLE:

They are strong, but you need to be careful with them too. They break away when life becomes tough and they can't handle too much weight. They may stay with you in some seasons, but

they will go when it becomes harder

ROOT PEOPLE: These people are very important because they don't do things to be seen. They are supportive even if you go through a difficult time they will water you and they are not moved by your position they just love you like that...

It's not all people you meet or are your friends, that will stay with you.

Only the root type of people will stay no matter

the season.

Reviewing Juzz Ammah and subhanAllah this Surah always centers my purpose in life and pulls me back to what is truly important.

When someone tries to one up you, fool you, play games to get their way - LET THEM. <3

When people think you are stupid or gullible let them.
When people think they can use you and who maintain relationship with you just because of some benefit they derive - let them.

Turn to Quran, turn to companionship of sahabas and rasool Allah ﷺ through seerah and through books of ahadith.

Isolate yourself from others, and mix with people as little as possible. And make sure the people you mix with are pious.

Verily, ‘Umar (radiallaahu ‘anhu) said,
‘Do not become ambitious, for ambition is in reality poverty, whereas giving up hope (of worldly riches and pleasures, whereby one becomes content with one’s lot) is in reality richness. In isolation, one can achieve tranquility since one avoids mixing with evil people.’

Sa’eed ibn al-Musayyib used to say,
‘Isolation is worship.’

And my favourite quote <3 <3 <3

❝Whoever seeks to compete with you in your religion, compete with him; Whoever seeks to compete with you in this world, let him have it...❞
- Al Hasan al Basri رحمه الله

Beware of ar riyaa, beware of seeking attention, beware of me me me mentality, beware of seeking positions of leadership.

Let death preoccupy you and always be on your mind. And decrease your expectations for this world.

I promise you, you will lead a steadfast life, a life free of drama, a life free from unnecessary attachments and expectations.

🤲 Ya Allah protect us from what brings about our destruction and make easy for us the path of obedeience - Allahumma ameen!

Allah alerts us to schemes of the shaytaan in surah al-Baqarah [02] by saying:

[ *إِنَّمَا يَأْمُرُكُم بِالسُّوءِ وَالْفَحْشَاءِ وَأَن تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ*]

He only commands you to do *soo'a* and *fahshah*, and to say what you do not know about Allah [169]

In part of his explanation of this ayah, Imam al-Baghawi wrote:

[روى باذان عن ابن عباس قال : الفحشاء من المعاصي ما يجب فيه الحد والسوء من الذنوب ما لا حد فيه . وقال السدي : هي الزنا]

Badhan relayed that ibn 'Abbaas said: *Fahshah* are those acts of disobedience which bring about a prescribed punishment, and *soo'a* are those sins which do not involve a prescribed punishment.

al-Suddi said: *al-Fahshah* is Zina

HAVE MORE FEAR OF ALLAH THAN FEAR OF EVIL

In recent times there has been a lot of delusion and imagining on the part of people

speculating that whatever afflicts them is due to magic, the jinn and the evil eye.

Even if a person is stricken with cold he says it’s the evil eye or magic. This is a great error. Turn away from all of this, oh Muslim!

Trust and depend on Allah! (by maintaining salah times, reciting the adhkaar of the morning and the evening, reciting the Qur’an in your homes!)

Don’t allow yourself to be confused by whispering and ultimately this (these thoughts) will be diverted from you.

The reason for that is if a man has something on his mind, he will be preoccupied with it. Whereas if he ignored it and left it alone, no harm would touch him.

[Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullah), Fataawa Noor ‘Alaa ad-Darb, Tape. 366: ‘Poor Character’]

AL IKHLAS IS AN EXPENSIVE ISSUE AND FEW ARE THOSE WHO CAN ACHIEVE IT

Al-Fayrawz Abādi رحمه الله said:

“Akhlasa means to give up Riyā (showing-off) [i.e. offering worship purely for the sake of Allāh].”

Al-Qāmūs al-Muheet 797.

TN; Linguistically: It is extracted from the verb (Akhlas) whose source is (Ikhlās), which means to make pure and not mixed with anything else.
