Digital Health Innovation Group, led by Dr. Roozbeh Jafari, at Lincoln Laboratory and Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) at MIT is seeking outstanding postdoctoral researchers. The newly formed group builds on his prior academic work in the area of digital health and is a continuation of Dr. Jafari’s laboratory at Texas A&M. The post-doctoral scholars will collaborate on projects that involve creating novel sensors, systems and AI algorithms for digital health and digital twin paradigms. The post-doctoral fellows will also engage in development of domain specific/scientific/physics-informed machine learning algorithms. This position is on-site only in Cambridge, MA.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with team members while also conducting independent research in the area of digital health.
Develop innovative and robust machine learning algorithms.
Analyze experimental data and develop computational models for digital health applications.
Lead the preparation of manunoscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Present research findings at conferences and scientific forums.
Provide support in grant/proposal writing as appropriate.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Strong foundation in design and development of algorithms and artificial intelligence/machine learning paradigms.
Strong programming skills (e.g., in Python).
Familiarity with biomedical circuits and systems and prior experience with novel wearable sensors are desired but not required.
Prior experience with computational physiology is desired but not required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Proven track record of scientific productivity evidenced by publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
US citizenship is not required.

Denoscription: This position is a PhD assistantship in forestry in the College of Forestry, Wildlife, and Environment at Auburn University. The student will conduct research in the area of forest operations with a focus on log truck transportation including road and bridge networks, accessibility of timber stands, regulations, employment, and business management. Financial support is available for 4 years, starting in the Fall 2024 semester, and includes a stipend of $25,000/year and a tuition waiver.

Qualifications: Applicants must have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in forestry. The applicant must be self-motivated, have a solid background in areas that support or complement the areas above, and be willing to conduct fieldwork and travel to remote research sites. A valid U.S. driver's license or the ability to obtain one during the first semester is required.
Preferred Qualifications: At least one degree with a focus on forest operations or significant experience in forest operations. Have a good understanding of logging and truck transportation in the southeastern United States.
