Reminder, please do NOT donate to any of the campaigns Shaun King posts, there is a lot of history (you can look it up pretty easily) of the donation money disappearing.
"Hi, I'm a street medic who was trained and on the ground during Occupy Oakland. I treated tear gas injuries during Oakland gas attacks. The most effective tear gas treatment (and the only one with actual research behind it) is LAW: a 50/50 mix of liquid antacid and water. It is preferable to use unflavored or non-mint antacid because mint flavoring can cause additional discomfort. How to use LAW: https://medic.wikia.org/wiki/L.A.W._(liquid_antacid_and_water) | UCSF study on the efficacy of antacids on capsaicin burns: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20579556/."
"Water or milk is better than nothing. Vinegar, pepsi, lemon juice, etc are all going to make it worse. You may see people telling others to use acids to treat tear gas either as disinfo or because they don't know any better."
"I agree that there is no way to tell if baking soda has dissolved in water and should not be used in eyes. It is probably safe to use it on skin and in the mouth (rinse and spit, do not swallow)"
Generally, don't put weird shit in your eyes. Your skin can take far more abuse.
Are there any protests planned in any other cities? Please let me know in PM (@aaomidi) and I will spread the message here.

Apparently that poor woman has been there for a while.
Please note, there are riots happening in Minneapolis 3rd Precinct as well as downtown St Paul, they are not as active as what we're seeing at Uni & Snelling

Mint oil is caustic when it isn't diluted. Using it on eyes may just give you a new problem. NO MINT. Irritant compounds like CS are acidic. Many DIY solutions seem to focus on using bases to neutralize the acid. Saline solution may not be the most effective, but it's the safest bet!
