مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ رِجالٌ صَدَقُوا ما عاهَدُوا اللّهَ عَلَیْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضى نَحْبَهُ وَ مِنْهُمْ مَنْ یَنْتَظِرُ وَ ما بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِیلاً
Among the faithful are men who fulfill what they have pledged to Allah: there are some among them who have fulfilled their pledge, and some of them who still wait, and they have not changed in the least, (Holy Quran 33:23)

Imam Husayn (A) said: “A person like me will never pledge allegiance to someone like Yazid.” The people of Iran, in fact, are saying: A nation like ours, with this culture, this history, and these high teachings, will not pledge allegiance to corrupt leaders like those currently in power in America.
