unscheduled reminder that a poly relationship does not equal an open relationship. polyamory is about being able to love more than one person at a time, not about always being open to the possibility of having more partners

if you feel like there are enough people in your relationship already, and feel like bringing more would become more than you could manage, unpleasant in some way, "too complicated to really have a good time" you are allowed to think and say so. a big part of every relationship is setting and respecting boundaries, not only others' but your own too
