The mysterious tomb of the Etruscan ruler Lars Porcena was an architectural marvel of enormous proportions. It was 60 m higher than the Great Pyramid, which was about 140 m high.
Lars Porsena was an Etruscan king and commander, ruler of Clusium, known for his war with Rome. His tomb looked like an alien spaceship on a launching pad, standing on top of five pyramidal obelisks.
This structure, about 200 m high, was destroyed along with Clusius himself in 89 BC by the Roman general Cornelius Silas. History is silent on the reasons for this atrocity. Most likely, the tomb fell out of the "common view of history" and was proof of the existence of advanced technology in antiquity.
