Here are some translated fragments from the cuneiform texts, adapted to modern language: "Alulim ruled for 28,800 years as king; Alalgar ruled for 36,000 years; the two kings ruled for 64,800 years.

It is assumed that the green "fur" covering the snake is actually a type of moss or other swampy plant that has grown on the snake's body because it has been in the swampy water for so long. What is striking, however, is that this "moss" covers the snake very evenly and looks so natural, as if it is something that is part of the snake itself, rather than just growing on its scales.
