Was built for the "Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition" in 1905 to help promote the state which also included over 400 miles of electrified street car system from DC and AC power generated at Willamette Falls built in 1889-1895 at it's Station A over 40 miles away one of the first long distance power lines in the world. The massive Exposition Center that was built torn down used for an industrial area but the Forestry Building stood until 1964 when it burnt down although there was next to it a Montgomery Wards Building built right in front of it in 1938

The first pedestrian died under the wheels of a car in 1896 - the "lucky woman", who opened the million-dollar statistics, was a resident of London Bridget Driscoll. The speed of the car that hit her was "insane" by the standards of that time - about 13 kilometers per hour, which was twice the maximum allowable limit. After this incident, engineers from all over the world began to think about how to keep people safe while a ton of cold metal was moving on them.

In Italy, a large-scale archaeological expedition was conducted on Lake Nemi in the early 20th century.
A ship 60-70 meters long and 20 meters wide was discovered. It had marble columns, floors and statues, and ceramic pipes installed to heat the floors.
Surprisingly, the hull was triple planked with lead in 54 AD.

A puzzle for scientists was found in Shelbyville, Illinois, USA. The town was founded in 1827, which is very recent by historical standards.
How the city ended up 4-5 meters in the ground is a mystery. It seems that it was built not long ago, the sea and oceans are far away, typhoons do not reach the center of the country either. There is, however, a lake about a kilometer from the city, but in order for it to reach the city and turn it into a small Atlantis, it will take a whole sea of water to pour into it.
The excavated structure itself is impressive - the arched openings, columns and red brick seem vaguely familiar. In most of the excavated cities, surprisingly, the buildings are built as if from a template.

Ancient Map, China
This map was purchased by Chinese collector Liu Gang in 2001 at an antique store in Shanghai for $500.
The date of the map is 1763, but it bears the innoscription: "This map was drawn by Mo Yi Tong, a Qing dynasty citizen, during the reign of Emperor Gong Li in 1763, based on an original map of 1418. This is 74 years before Columbus arrived in the New World, but the Chinese map already depicts both Americas. And both coasts, both west and east.
