🇧🇦🇹🇷 The Young Turks, the Betrayal, and the Annexation of Bosnia
🇧🇦🇹🇷 Jön Türkler, İhanet ve Bosna’nın İlhakı

İmparatorluk ve devrim gölgesinde, Boşnakların asla unutamayacağı kader belirleyici bir karar alındı.

Otuz yıllık Avusturya-Macaristan işgalinin ardından, İstanbul’daki Jön Türk rejimi — eski Osmanlı düzeninin yeminli düşmanları — sessizce Bosna-Hersek’i elden çıkardı.

1908 yılındaki ilhak Sultan II. Abdülhamid’in kararı değildi.

"And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,"

Surah Al-Imran Ayat 157
"And if you are killed in the cause of Allah or die – then forgiveness from Allah and mercy are better than whatever they accumulate [in this world]."

On the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, seven more newly discovered people murdered by the Bosnian Serbs will be buried.

In July 1995 more than 8,000 Bosniak Muslim men and boys in and around the town of Srebrenica were massacred by the Bosnian Serb Army in the first legally recognised genocide in Europe since the end of World War 2.

Our correspondent Haris Tagari reports from Srebrenica.

🇹🇷🇧🇦🇮🇷 30 Years After Srebrenica: Khamenei and Erdoğan Condemn Western Hypocrisy and Global Inaction

On the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei recalled his words from the day after Srebrenica fell in 1995:

"Anyone who wants to see the lies behind US and Western claims of defending human rights should look at what happened in Srebrenica and elsewhere."

Turkish President Erdoğan also shared a message:

"Even after 30 years, the pain of our Bosniak brothers and sisters remains fresh. The failure of the international community to stop the genocide is a shame that will never be forgotten."

He recalled the words of Alija Izetbegović:
"Whatever you do, do not forget the genocide, because a forgotten genocide will be repeated."

Erdoğan added that the UN’s failure in Gaza today shows it has not learned from Srebrenica — but he vowed that Turkey will continue to defend peace and justice, and that Israel will one day face accountability.

⚠️ Provocation in Srebrenica After Genocide Commemoration

Just hours after the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide a disturbing act of provocation took place.

Last night, in front of the Orthodox church in Srebrenica, the nationalist song by Baja Mali Knindža was blasted through loudspeakers:

"Wolves send a message from Manjača:
Banja Luka Turks, move away
Don’t touch our Republika Srpska
Pack your bags and flee to Turkey
Oh Alija, you're no longer in charge
The Orthodox people have won
"

This hate-filled song, openly glorifying ethnic cleansing and mocking the victims, was deliberately played in a town still mourning the mass murder of over 8,000 Bosniaks.

🇸🇾 Will Syria Normalise Relations with Israel?

The short answer is yes—they will normalise, and it will be brokered by the United States.

This will, of course, cause outrage. There will be all sorts of sympathisers of the old regime and pseudo-political analysts who will say, "I told you so," even though they still can't explain why Assad fell, and we’re still waiting on their prediction that the country would Balkanise. So just ignore them.

Why will it happen?

It will happen because the "New Syria" we now see is under the management of the GCC and Turkey, and Ahmed Al Sharaa has either received or will receive orders to normalise relations—which he will carry out.

This is being done to stop further Israeli aggression in Syria and to bring more stability and peace to both the country and the region. The Israelis will be insufferable, but in reality, they’ll be angry that they can no longer attack Syria and stir up more conflict in the Middle East.

The Druze will end up being thrown off the ship.

It's been a while since I've done any political commentary on the Middle East in this format. For those new to the channel, I'd like to let you know that I used to do this more frequently—so this is really nothing new.

📍🇧🇦 Onto some more happier posts, have you ever heard of Trebinje? It is a small city in the Trebišnjica river valley, located in the south-west corner of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Trebinje has a Mediterranean climate. During the year, there are about 260 sunny days, warm summers, and mild winters.

🇧🇦 Allied Bombing of Banja Luka, 1944

On 31 March 1944, a British B-26 Marauder was photographed after bombing the Bosnian city of Banja Luka. This was part of a wider Allied campaign targeting Axis-controlled infrastructure across occupied Europe — and Yugoslavia was no exception. But these strikes came at a cost — civilians often paid the price, as cities like Banja Luka were caught in the crossfire of World War II’s final years. The British nor the Americans were ever held accountable for their crimes in Bosnia during WW2.

Krenite, biće vam dat ponos dunjaluka i ahireta.

(Muhammed, 35. ajet)

🇧🇦 The Unyielding Faith of Muharem ef. Memagić
I entered prison with my imam’s turban, and with it I shall leave – with dignity. I do not need your pardon.”

These were the defiant words of Muharem ef. Memagić, a dignified Bosniak imam from Bihać, remembered for his honesty, courage, and unwavering moral compass. Born in 1910, he was a man of learning and principle — more educated than his communist persecutors, and a living lesson in how to preserve dignity under oppression.

During WWII, imams in Bosanska Krajina suffered immensely:

🔸 Four were slaughtered by Chetniks in 1942–43:
 – Šaćir ef. Malkoč (Pokoj)
 – Mehmed ef. Mehulić (Čavkići)
 – Hfz. Šerif ef. Begić (Srbljani)
 – Abas ef. Duljković (Ribić)
🔸 Others died of wounds, typhus, or tuberculosis.

After the war, many imams endured years in communist prisons. Muharem ef. Memagić was arrested in 1952 and sentenced to four years for opposing state seizure of religious schools and for allegedly declaring that "communism would not spread while he was alive." He denied all charges. Offered early release, he refused:

I entered prison with my religious dignity intact. I will not trade it for your mercy.”

Upon release, he resumed his duties, building mosques, educating children, and serving the faithful in places like Cazin, Bužim, and Bosanska Dubica — until his passing in 1983.

Muharem ef. Memagić remains a symbol of spiritual resistance — proof that integrity can survive even the harshest prisons.
