The Bosnian custom of Ašikovanje:

Ašikovanje was considered the crown of a young man’s and woman’s life. One of the characteristic customs was that, most often on Fridays, people would gather in large numbers at a picnic (known as teferić), where young men and women would meet. These gatherings would last from morning until sunset, when the women would return home and would continue under the gardens.The young man would then come under the window and talk to the young woman. Ašikluci were common during holidays, as well as after weddings. If he met her during the day on the street, it was understood that the young man would politely approach her and communicate with her, while to an observer, this form of communication might seem shy. Ašikovanje was usually done through soft whispers without physical contact. Gentle songs, often monotonous, were used during ašikovanje, serving as a signal that always caught the girl’s attention. The young man usually knew the girl from childhood. Even in those times, there were young men who tried to get along with multiple girls, but they were quickly discovered. The whole story would typically begin under a window, where a small pebble was thrown to get the girl to come out.In many towns, so many pebbles were thrown that numerous windows were damaged and had to be repaired. Their conversations would cover various topics – from what was growing in the garden to events in the local community. Ašikovanje would usually end with arranging a meeting for the next time. Authors also documented the act of marriage itself: the host would organize a collective observation, placing the young man in one room and the young woman in another, after which they would shyly observe each other.It was customary to knock on the window, and if it had no bars, it meant the girl was taken. Women of that period were generally loyal and honest, very devoted mothers, and modest homemakers. Most of them would remain tied to their homes, husbands, and children after marriage. Though poorly educated, they were very polite, communicative, and well-mannered. After 1918, with the onset of westernisation, marriage and the position of women began to face a crisis. Despite the Austro-Hungarian introduction of new customs in Bosnia, this way of life remained the most prevalent.😃

The Importance of Differentiation:

Muslims in Europe, wherever they are and regardless of how they ended up on the continent, need to internalize the mindset that coexistence with their non-Muslim counterparts will never be achieved by attaching themselves to similarities—whether based on nationality, race, or culture. Instead, it will come through highlighting, enforcing, and clarifying the differences between us. No, we are not the same, and no, we are not similar.

For once in a long time, there is a presence of a sane mind in Europe—a part of Europe that is healthy, uncorrupted by greed, war, and hypocrisy, and not confused. Our cities, whether in the Caucasus or the Balkans, were not built upon the exploitation of Africans, Asians, or the indigenous peoples of the Americas. Our wealth was gained in a healthy manner through our own hard work, not by pillaging towns in India.

Our morality is genuine, not discarded when it becomes inconvenient, and our historical heroes are actual heroes, not edited myths designed to make us look good. The differences between us could not be more explicit. We do not need to ally ourselves with the “isms” that emerged from Europe—we’ve already mistakenly tried that throughout history, and it didn’t work. Our sovereignty is not built on antagonism but on extending our hands outward toward the Ummah across the seas. That is the only way forward.

We are not a minority in Europe; we are part of a global community of two billion people who can support us in times of need, just as they have done diplomatically, economically, and militarily for my own country. We are not the ones who are outnumbered. What we want is simple: to be sovereign on our own land, in our own homes, and to live in peace. Whoever tries to infringe upon these rights, upon what Allah has made sacred for us, we will fight—and we will win.😃

🇮🇱 Dodik on Netanyahu Arrest Warrant 🇧🇦

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, strongly criticized the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling it "completely unreasonable."

"This decision demonstrates that the international judicial system is being used as a political tool. By targeting the Prime Minister of Israel, a state defending itself from a terrorist attack, the court has further discredited itself," said Dodik.

He assured that Republika Srpska will do everything to prevent Bosnia and Herzegovina's institutions from implementing the ICC's decision.

Background: The ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Palestinian territories, including Gaza. Republika Srpska is an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina that received military aid and training from Israel during the Bosnian War and committed genocide and ethnic cleansing against Bosniak Muslims under the indifferent observation of the West.
