In the city of Kakanj in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a "Quran Night" has been organized on New Year's Eve for years. Hafizes come from Bosnia, Turkey, and other countries; the Quran is recited, and hymns are sung. This evening, it will take place again.😊

Aerial shot of bombs falling on Sarajevo, 9 August 1944. The bombardment was executed by the 301st Bomb Group belonging to the US Air Force. The 301st Bomb Group was a heavy group, mostly flying with four-engine bombers and targeting military objects and those belonging to the war industry.
Allied war bombardments, regardless of the nature of their sorties, had a devastating impact on civilian life and infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina. By some accounts, at least 2500 civilians were killed in Bosnia & Herzegovina by Allied bombardment. Cities such as Sarajevo, Mostar, Jajce and Bihać were hit numerous times in the last war years. Bihać, for example, was bombarded more than 50 times by the Allies during World War 2.😃

Real
Do not let Annalena Baerbock distract you from the fact that the EU has not lifted sanctions on Syria, and the United States has, in fact, extended the Caesar Act for several more years and refused to lift sanctions as well. If they had won, and the big bad guy in Syria is gone, then why aren’t they lifting the sanctions that hurt the Syrian people? Perhaps a stable Syria is the real enemy. 🇸🇾

In my humble opinion, I do not think that a Bosniak needs to be a patriot to fight for his country. In fact, I do not believe it is necessary for one to feel love or a sense of pride for their country in order to fight. No poetic speeches or loud national hymns are required; flags are of no importance either. All that one needs are names and faces—that is enough.
It likely has something to do with the deep nature of man, tucked away somewhere in his soul, that upon seeing something out of place in this world, he feels compelled to push it into order. When he sees wrong, he has the will to right it.
Our enemies and oppressors live under a misapprehension: we are not fighting them because they are here and should be elsewhere. We are fighting them because they are awful, and we will fight and chase them wherever they go. We are not building a state; we are building a better world.😃

Sack of Sarajevo by Eugene of Savoy - 1697
While he is remembered for his glory in Vienna, Sarajevo remembers Prince Savoy as a barbarian—just as it will remember all other arsonists and criminals of the modern age. No historical absurdity can change that, not even the one where, during Austro-Hungarian rule, a barracks was built above Baščaršija in the shape of the letter E and named after the man who burned the city to the ground.😃

Translation (English):
CHRISTMAS EVE, 1943
On Orthodox Christmas Eve, January 6, 1943, with an attack on the Bijelo Polje district, the Chetnik operation to annihilate the Bosniak population in Sandžak and Upper Podrinje began. The order from the Chetnik Supreme Command read:
"DESTROY ALL MUSLIM POPULATION!"
From January 6 to February 25, 1943, in the districts of Bijelo Polje, Pljevlja, Priboj, Foča, and Čajniče, at least 13,000 Bosniaks were killed. This was the largest crime ever committed against the Bosniaks.❤️

Non-Controversial Opinion:
One of the most mind-numbing things I hear from some Muslims in Bosnia and Muslims in the West in general, when talking to Christians, is the statement that Christians shouldn't celebrate Christmas because it's a pagan holiday and it goes against their own teachings. I stand there and think: You shouldn't celebrate Christmas because you shouldn't even be Christian—you should be Muslim. Who cares if they celebrate a pagan holiday? Their entire belief structure is shirk. I understand that this might not suit the taste of those who are all about coexistence, but guess what? Someone is going to Hell, and someone isn't. It's in their own interest to become Muslims.😊

Smail Buljubašić was an imam (hodža) from Vrnogorac. When the war broke out (WW2), Buljubašić immediately asserted himself as pro-Partisan, but more importantly as anti-persecution of his Serb and antifascist neighbors who he saved on numerous occasions from the Ustashe auxiliaries. His good deeds were (unfortunately) not unnoticed. In 1943 the 369th Wehrmacht Infantry Regiment (Croat-composed) dragged out the imam from the mosque in which he was leading the prayer. With the help of local Ustashe , Smail Buljubašić was executed in cold blood in front of the mosque.
Painting was done by Aleksandar Lucijan in 1983, 40 years after the imam’s violent execution.😃
