Did a quick assessment of the large one. It's a Blaupunkt Super 4W76 from 1936. Technically not mine but it will live at my place and I'll probably gonna be the one restoring it. Cost a grand total of 20€.
It has been "fixed" before. So we very carefully gave power to it. Not even a noise.
The guy who sold it to us was old and while I'm sure he knows his stuff, it does look like he had difficulties holding the iron steady
No dice. I found one bad resistor, one broken connection and a few capacitors that have not been replaced. Made a parts list for the next parts order. I'll have to recheck every connection, every part, test the tubes, and align it. So basically the whole program. Will be fun!
