Saint Tatiana in a church ceiling in Sant'Agostino, Rome
🙏3
St. Tatiana is my Confirmation saint. Here's a bit of her story.
According to legend, she was the daughter of a Roman civil servant who was secretly Christian, and raised his daughter in the faith. She was actively participating in piety acts when one day the jurist Ulpian captured her and tried to force her to accept paganism at an Apollo temple. She suffered beatings and different tortures and, she never denied the Faith nor ceased praying.
She was beheaded with a sword ca. 226 AD.

This is probably my favorite cooking book. It's a compilation of traditional pasta recipes from nonnas from all over Italy. A true gem worth keeping.

As it is sadly usual by now, Our Lady is deeply attacked in many ways. The modern world directly attacks the virtues she professed most beautifully, among which are modesty, purity, virginity, humility, etc. It is for that reason, us Catholics must know how to defend some of the irreverent things often said by the secular world about her. In this case, the incarnation of Our Lord.

Ladies, a friendly reminder to be always open and willing to listen to what your husbands and parish priest(s) have to say about who you are and what you do.
They know us best and should be able to judge our character and effort objectively. There are lots of things being posted on the internet, that although intended with a good purpose, do not necessarily help.

MARCH 4: A BISHOP TORTURED FOR 14 YEARS
Blessed Meszlenyi Zoltan Lajos
Bishop and Martyr
Died: 1951
---
He was a Hungarian bishop and martyr. During the Communist regime, he made the people see his courage in facing the communist. Two weeks after his ordination as bishop, he was arrested and never seen alive again. The priests who survived the prisons said that Catholics were jailed in cells with no windows. They were also tortured physically and psychologically. He suffered in prison for his faith and he endured this for 14 years.
