As it is sadly usual by now, Our Lady is deeply attacked in many ways. The modern world directly attacks the virtues she professed most beautifully, among which are modesty, purity, virginity, humility, etc. It is for that reason, us Catholics must know how to defend some of the irreverent things often said by the secular world about her. In this case, the incarnation of Our Lord.

Ladies, a friendly reminder to be always open and willing to listen to what your husbands and parish priest(s) have to say about who you are and what you do.
They know us best and should be able to judge our character and effort objectively. There are lots of things being posted on the internet, that although intended with a good purpose, do not necessarily help.

MARCH 4: A BISHOP TORTURED FOR 14 YEARS
Blessed Meszlenyi Zoltan Lajos
Bishop and Martyr
Died: 1951
---
He was a Hungarian bishop and martyr. During the Communist regime, he made the people see his courage in facing the communist. Two weeks after his ordination as bishop, he was arrested and never seen alive again. The priests who survived the prisons said that Catholics were jailed in cells with no windows. They were also tortured physically and psychologically. He suffered in prison for his faith and he endured this for 14 years.

Preparation for Holy Week from the Discalced Hermits of Our Lady of Mount Carmel:
We now approach Holy Week and the Sacred Triduum, which solemnly commemorate the saving Sacrifice of the Word Incarnate. The Catholic Faith handed on to us by Christ and His Apostles teaches us that God became incarnate to save man from sin and its consequences: sadness, suffering, the death of the body, and the eternal death of the soul in separation from God.
As the true Head of the human race, Our Lord Jesus Christ offered upon the Cross expiation and atonement for the sins of men against God and His right order, thus meriting our eternal redemption. Throughout time, He applies the fruit of that redemption to individual persons—though not without our free consent and cooperation. As St. Augustine says, “God created us without us: but He did not will to save us without us.” Abiding in and cooperating with the saving grace of Christ at work in our souls, our good works and voluntary sacrifices are valuable and efficacious only by union with Christ as a participation in the mystery of His Cross.
This is how we receive the fruits of His Cross into our souls, as we will hear the Church instruct us during the triumphant days of Easter:
“You are dead to sin, but alive unto God, in Christ Jesus our Lord. Let no sin therefore reign in your mortal body, so as to obey the desires thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of iniquity unto sin; but present yourselves to God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of justice unto God.…I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercy of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing unto God, your spiritual service. And be not conformed to this world; but be reformed in the newness of mind” (Romans 6:11-13, 12:1-2).
