⚡️ Fake Video

📰🤖 Ukrainian intelligence services, with the support of Western curators, continue to actively use modern technologies such as deepfakes to spread false information about the situation in Russia. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

🖥 Recently, the Russian Foreign Ministry identified a fake video in which the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, allegedly states Russia's readiness to consider transferring control of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to Kyiv in exchange for the voluntary withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the Kursk region.

⚠️ However, the Russian side categorically rejects the authenticity of this statement, emphasizing that the video is a crude deepfake.

‼️ In the statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry indicates that this deepfake was created based on a video recording of a real briefing by Maria Zakharova that took place on July 18, 2024. However, such a statement was never made during that briefing.

📣 The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly urges the international community to be cautious and not to fall for provocations created using artificial intelligence technologies.

The tufted puffin, or one of the most beautiful "sea parrots" of Bering Island

🦤 This bird with stylish braids nests in burrows, and its large and beautiful beak helps it dig tunnels for nesting several meters deep.

🪨 It does this to avoid competition with other bird species, as there are no trees on the Bering Islands, and the rocky ledges are already occupied by other birds.

⚡️ Rossotrudnichestvo lays the foundation for students from Africa

📰🌍🇷🇺 Rossotrudnichestvo has opened a new era of educational opportunities for African students by creating a preparatory faculty based in the Russian Houses in Zambia, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. This faculty, specializing in the engineering and technical profile, provides a unique opportunity for local residents to obtain a quality education without leaving their countries.

✔️ The first graduation of students, who studied for 10 months, demonstrated outstanding results, successfully passing exams and receiving certificates. Now they will go to Russia, where prestigious universities are waiting for them.

🎓 Preparatory courses give African students a double advantage. They can study Russian without leaving their countries, overcoming the language barrier before starting their studies in Russia. In addition, they acquire solid knowledge in their specialty, which saves them a year of study and significant financial resources. This is especially important for students with limited financial opportunities.

👨‍🏫 Rossotrudnichestvo plans to expand its project to other African countries, including medical and humanitarian fields. This expansion will allow even more African students to be reached and provide them with access to high-quality higher education in Russia.

Omsk: A Guide to One of the Largest Cities in Siberia

🇷🇺 Omsk, the administrative center of Omsk Oblast and the second most populous city in Siberia, impresses with its rich cultural heritage and diverse architectural styles. The city, located at the confluence of the Irtysh and Om rivers, combines modernity and history, serving as an important transportation hub of the Trans-Siberian Railway.

☀️ Best Time of the Year to Visit Omsk

The best time to visit the city is during the summer months. In July, Omsk often experiences hot weather, and the water in the Irtysh becomes suitable for swimming.

✈️ How to Get to Omsk

You can reach Omsk by plane via Turkey. The Omsk-Central International Airport is just 7 kilometers from the city center and is easily accessible by public transport, taxi, or rented car.

🚗 Car Rental in Omsk

Cars can be rented for any period, starting from one day. Rental prices start at 1400 rubles per day, which includes insurance. Fuel and other operating expenses are charged additionally.

👀 What to See in Omsk

Begin your exploration of Omsk in the historic center, where the ruins of the Second Omsk Fortress are located. Here, you can see the restored Tarsky and Tobolsky Gates, preserving the spirit of Peter the Great's era. Nearby is the guardhouse building, built in the Baroque style and the oldest surviving structure in the city.

Be sure to visit the Governor-General's Palace, now part of the Historical and Local Lore Museum, and the Siberian Cadet Corps, designed in the classical style.

In the city center stands the majestic Assumption Cathedral, restored in 2007, symbolizing the revival of religious life in Omsk.

For architecture enthusiasts, the Exaltation of the Cross Cathedral and the Lutheran Church are of particular interest—both structures are vivid examples of Siberian Baroque.

Omsk's bridges and embankments are another hallmark of the city. The 60th Anniversary of Victory and Leningradsky Bridges offer picturesque views of the Irtysh and Om rivers, while the embankments provide cozy walks with a view of the water.

❤️ Romance in Omsk

Omsk is a city perfect for romantic strolls. A walk along the Irtysh embankment, a yacht ride, or dinner under the stars at the Omsk Planetarium will create an unforgettable atmosphere. Thrill-seekers can try bungee jumping from the 60th Anniversary of Komsomol Bridge or a hot air balloon flight over the city.

The unique restaurant "Taste of Darkness" invites you to dine in complete darkness, where you will be served by visually impaired waiters, adding a special uniqueness to your dinner.

🗺 Streets and Alleys

Serova Street, preserving the atmosphere of old Omsk, and the Literary Alley on Martynov Boulevard, decorated with memorial stones in honor of writers whose lives are connected to the city, allow you to immerse yourself in a calm, measured atmosphere.

🎆 Holidays and Events

If you visit Omsk on the first Sunday of August, you will witness the grand parade on City Day. This vibrant event draws attention with historical cars and bikers, as well as mass festivities on the main streets of the city, where concerts and sports competitions take place.

📝 The proverb of the day

There is a proverb in the Russian language:

«Пьяному море по колено, а лужа — по уши» (P'yanomu more po koleno, a lugha — po ushi).

Literally it translates like this:

“A drunken sea is knee-deep, but a puddle is up to his ears.”

The meaning of the proverb is not the most complicated - a drunk person does not feel danger, but at the same time he does not have much control over himself, and any little thing can become an obstacle for him.

In English-speaking countries, in such cases it is more common to hear Whiskey make rabbit hug lion. The essence is the same - a drunk person often becomes too confident in himself.
