🇷🇺 Russia is ousting France as the main wheat supplier to Morocco

🏆 In August 2024, Russia took the lead in soft wheat exports to the Moroccan market, exporting 192,000 tons. France, which has long been a leader in this segment, only supplied 33,000 tons during the same period.

🇫🇷 The reasons for these changes are linked to a historical drop in harvests in France and growing wheat consumption in Morocco. Other significant players in the market include Romania and Ukraine, with a total import of about 100,000 tons in August 2024.

📁 These changes highlight the dynamics of the global grain market and shifts in trade flows, which may affect prices and the availability of wheat in the region.

🔖 Prince Konstantin Vyazemsky, who visited Tomsk in 1891, noted: "Tomsk is one of the largest cities in Siberia, located on the banks of the Tom River and on a high ground. In the center of the city, there is a hill from which one can see the entire city, which resembles the Acropolis of Athens." He compared Tomsk to Athens not only by appearance but also as a cultural center, symbolizing education and scholarship.

🏙 Today, Tomsk is a student city with a large number of universities. About a quarter of the population consists of students, which gives the city a youthful atmosphere.

🏫 Tomsk State University, founded in 1888, is also located in Tomsk. It is the first university in Siberia and one of the oldest in Russia.

🇷🇺 Krasnodar - A City of Sunshine

🔖 The history of Krasnodar begins in the distant year of 1792, when Empress Catherine II granted the Black Sea Army a Charter, transferring the Kuban lands into their eternal possession. The following year, the city of Yekaterinodar was founded, which in 1920, after the establishment of Soviet power, was renamed Krasnodar.

🌲 Today, Krasnodar is the only city in Russia where the baobab tree grows. This unique tree, native to Madagascar, can be seen in the Galitsky Park next to the Krasnodar Stadium. The park itself deserves special attention, as it is one of the most unusual and beautiful in our country.

☀️ But Krasnodar is famous not only for its unique park. The city occupies one of the first places in Russia in terms of the number of sunny hours per year - there are as many as 2139 of them here! The average annual temperature in Krasnodar is +12 degrees, making it one of the warmest cities in our country.

🚀 Another interesting fact is that one year before his first space flight, Yuri Gagarin underwent flight training in the Krasnodar aviation detachment.

🇷🇺 600-Ton Hanging Stone in Krasnoyarsk Krai

📍 In the "Ergaki" nature reserve there is one of the wonders of nature - a stone block weighing about 600 tons, as if frozen on the edge of a precipice.

🪨 The Hanging Stone is a boulder of a large split that broke off thousands of years ago and hangs on the edge of a kilometer-long precipice, above Lake Raduzhnoye.

💪 Dozens of tourists have tried to move the "Hanging Stone" from its place, but their efforts were in vain. It did not budge a centimeter. This is surprising, because the contact area of the huge fragment with the mountain is only about one square meter.

🇷🇺 Roads in Russia will now be musical

🎶 Noise markings start to “sound” if a car deviates to the side of the road. It is assumed that this will help reduce the number of road accidents.

🗓 The first such "singing" stripes will be installed on the M-11 Moscow-St. Petersburg highway. Testing of this innovation will begin before the end of 2024 .

🐻 Have you ever seen a mother bear and her cubs digging a den for the winter?

📹 Rare footage of this natural phenomenon was published by the Altai Biosphere Reserve.

"We noticed that this digging of a hole by bears on a slope is significantly different from the spring and summer digging of holes in search of food. The mother bear seems to be conducting a master class, and the cubs diligently repeat," said the authors of the video and employees of the reserve Roman Vorobyov and Tatyana Klimenko.

📌 It is noted that the timing of the bears is all right - they do not dig a den in one approach. In the process of arrangement, the animals may not like something and they will "move" to another place.

🇷🇺 Voronezh: A City with a Rich History and a Connection to Africa

🏙 Voronezh is one of the oldest cities in Russia, located in the European part of the country. Its official year of foundation is 1586. Interestingly, the outlines of the Voronezh Region resemble those of Africa.

🚤 The city played a significant role in Russian history. It was here that Peter I laid the foundations for the future Russian navy and spent a total of 500 days of his life. During this time, Voronezh effectively became the temporary capital of Russia. The capital of the state was located wherever the sovereign's tent was pitched.

💧 Another unique fact is the Voronezh Reservoir. It is one of the largest reservoirs in the world located entirely within a city. It is a favorite recreation spot for both locals and tourists.
