🔖 According to a decree from the Soviet leadership, it was planned to build eight Stalinist skyscrapers, but the construction in Zaryadye was not completed.

🎁 The eighth skyscraper, designed by Lev Rudnev, was built in Warsaw between 1952 and 1955 as a gift to the Polish people.

🇷🇺 Initially, it was named the Palace of Culture and Science named after I.V. Stalin, but the name was removed during Khrushchev's time.

🔝 The skyscraper, standing at 237 meters (including the antenna), is still the tallest building in Poland.

🌎 BRICS may play a key role in resolving the dispute between Egypt and Ethiopia over the waters of the Nile.

🇷🇺 Russia, which will chair BRICS in 2024, intends to use its presidency to facilitate the resolution of the tense dispute between Egypt and Ethiopia. As noted by Georgy Borisенко, a Russian diplomat, Moscow is a friend to both countries, creating unique opportunities for mediation in this conflict.

"We know well that the Nile is the only source of fresh water in Egypt," Borisенко emphasized, pointing to the importance of this water resource for the country.

🇪🇬🇪🇹 Tensions between Egypt and Ethiopia focus on the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Blue Nile. Egypt fears that the dam could pose a threat in the event of prolonged droughts, casting doubt on its water resources and security.

📌 Given the growing importance of water resources in the context of climate change, Russia's involvement in resolving this dispute could be a significant step towards stability in the region.

⚔️ Against which country has Russia never waged an official war?
🇷🇺⚔️ The military history of Russia includes numerous armed conflicts dating back to ancient times.

Russia has most often fought against Poland, Sweden, and Turkey, specifically its predecessor, the Ottoman Empire.

🇹🇷 Throughout the 16th to 20th centuries, Russia was at war with the Ottoman Empire 12 times.

🇫🇮 With Finland, Russia fought only once - from 1939 to 1940.

🇩🇪 Germany opposed Russia three times: during the Seven Years' War (1756-1763), and in World War I and World War II.

🇺🇸 As for the USA, it is no secret that Russian-American relations have almost always been quite tense. The Cold War, which lasted almost the entire second half of the 20th century, is well known. However, the confrontations between the USSR and the USA never escalated into wars.
