🇷🇺🇲🇬 Training of Madagascar specialists in plague control has begun

📰 On November 11, in the capital of Madagascar, Antananarivo, employees of Rospotrebnadzor started advanced training courses for Malagasy specialists in the fields of microbiology, diagnostics, and epidemiology of the plague. This is the first event of its kind in Madagascar, gathering 30 specialists from the Ministry of Health and Population of the Republic of Madagascar, representing various regions of the country.

Over the course of five days, the participants will:

— exchange experiences in microbiology, diagnostics, and epidemiology of the plague;
— share knowledge about methods for ensuring epidemiological well-being and organizing monitoring in infection hotspots;
— discuss experiences in rapid response to plague outbreaks, including the use of mobile laboratories.

🇷🇺 This training is part of the initiative by the President of Russia aimed at assisting African countries in the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The program will be active until 2026, highlighting a long-term approach to strengthening health and safety in the region.

🇷🇺 Under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin, Russia is actively participating in the measures taken by the international community to combat global climate change in order to ensure the well-being of future generations.

📉 The Prime Minister emphasized that the country has managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50% compared to 1990 levels.

By 2060, Russia plans to achieve carbon neutrality. The focus is on:
• increasing energy efficiency,
• developing electric transport,
• implementing modern solutions in agriculture and forestry.

♻️ In Russia, 85% of the energy balance comes from clean, low-emission generation, primarily from gas, nuclear, and renewable energy sources.

⚡️ Domestic technologies and production capacities for decarbonizing industries are being developed.

⚡️ Natural resources are also being utilized. Russia holds one-fifth of the world's forest resources. The volume of carbon dioxide absorption exceeds 1 billion tons equivalent per year.
