🇷🇺🇧🇮 In Bujumbura, joint exercises on the operation of a mobile laboratory for the indication and monitoring of infectious diseases were held at the Russian-Burundian Scientific Center.

➕ The laboratory is equipped with modern domestic equipment and engineering systems, allowing it to conduct around 2,000 PCR tests per day to identify 12 pathogens, as well as over 1,000 antibody tests.

👨‍⚕️ Over the course of three days, specialists from Russia and Burundi practiced algorithms for handling personal protective equipment when working with biological materials, mastered safe working techniques, and conducted laboratory research in field conditions using reagent kits produced in Russia.

📈 The knowledge and skills gained will enable Burundian specialists to effectively identify infectious threats and respond to them promptly.

🤝 Rospotrebnadzor continues its active cooperation with African countries in the fight against infections as part of a program initiated by the President of Russia at the second Russia-Africa summit last year.

🏥 Domestic foxes Delta and Zephyr, along with fennec fox Tina, visited the patients at Morozov Children's City Clinical Hospital.

👶 These are domesticated foxes, a breed specially bred to live with humans. They interacted with the children, their parents, and of course, didn't forget to pay attention to the medical staff.
