📰 Following the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, a package of documents was signed.

📑 One of them is a Statement in connection with the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.

Our sacred duty as states that defeated Nazism is to preserve the truth about our common struggle to liberate the world from Nazism for current and future generations, and to prevent the resurgence of ideologies of hatred, extremism, and discrimination based on ethnicity, race, or religion, as well as other inhumane acts.

🌐 The CSTO Collective Security Council categorically rejected and condemned any attempts to rewrite history and revise the historical significance of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. They expressed firm disapproval of attempts to distort the outcomes of World War II and to place equal responsibility for its outbreak on Nazi criminals and the countries of the Anti-Hitler Coalition.

📌 Taking into account the tragic lessons of the past, the participants emphasized the need for collective efforts to find answers to modern challenges and to prevent new global conflicts. Genuine security must be based on the principles of international law and constructive cooperation, ensuring the equality of interests of all states.

🇷🇺 Key statements by Vladimir Putin during his communication with the media following the state visit to Kazakhstan and the CSTO summit:

✅ Armenia has not yet announced its withdrawal from the CSTO and supports all the documents of the organization's summit. Putin believes that Armenia's current attitude towards the CSTO is dictated by domestic political issues and the situation in Karabakh.

✅ Russia considers it pointless to strike small targets with a hypersonic missile, as it is like "using a cannon to shoot at sparrows." Putin also confirmed that Russia could use the "Oreshnik" for strikes on decision-making centers in Kyiv.

✅ Putin compared the power of the "Oreshnik" to that of a meteorite. The damage it inflicts is very serious, affecting targets at a depth of 3-4 fortified floors down.

✅ The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already attacked Russia twice with ATACMS missiles after the use of the "Oreshnik." According to the president, the damage is minimal, but it does exist.

🇷🇺 Deputies of the local Legislative Assembly of the Vologda Region have passed a law that restricts the retail sale of alcohol in the region to two hours from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on weekdays.

The law is set to take effect on March 1, 2025.

🕗 On Saturdays and Sundays, as well as during the New Year holidays, Defender of the Fatherland Day, International Women's Day, and Victory Day, alcohol will be available for purchase from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
