⚡️ Monitoring of illegal alcohol production has begun from space

🇷🇺🥃 Starting December 3, new amendments have come into force in Russia, allowing for the monitoring of illegal alcohol production using satellite surveillance. These changes, initiated by the Ministry of Finance, are aimed at combating counterfeit alcohol producers, which account for up to 26% of the strong drink market.

🛰 Satellite technology will now help identify land plots where equipment for the production of ethyl alcohol is installed.

🌡 Supervisory authorities will track changes in thermal radiation levels from buildings, as well as the presence of smoke and the movement of freight transport near suspicious sites. Monitoring services will be able to observe such locations at least twice a month, making it more effective to identify illegal production.

❗️ Special attention will be given to sites where activity is recorded for more than two consecutive days.
