🇺🇸📣 Tucker Carlson is back in Moscow 🇷🇺 This time, the American journalist interviewed Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The recording will be posted on Carlson's website soon. 🔍 We are looking forward to it #news @From Russia with love
🎙 🇷🇺 Interview of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov with American commentator Tucker Carlson

Key points:

— Officially, we with the USA are not at war. Some call what is happening in Ukraine a hybrid war. I would also describe it that way. It is obvious that the Ukrainians could not do what they are doing with modern long-range weapons without the direct involvement of American military personnel.

— We do not want to exacerbate the situation. However, since ATACMS and other long-range weapons are being used against Russian territory, we are sending signals.

We hope that the latest one (from a couple of weeks ago) regarding the new "Oreshnik" system was taken seriously.

— In his latest statement, President V.V. Putin made it clear that we are ready for any development of events. We prefer a peaceful resolution through negotiations based on respect for Russia's legitimate security interests, respect for the Russian-speaking people living in Ukraine, their basic rights, language and religious rights, which have been destroyed by a number of laws passed by the Ukrainian parliament.

— If you want to respect the UN Charter, you must respect it in its entirety. I remind you that this document states, among other things, that all countries must respect the equality of states and the right of nations to self-determination.

— People in the East and South of Ukraine, in Donbas and Novorossiya do not consider Zelensky's regime to represent their interests. How can they represent them when their culture, language, traditions, and religion are all prohibited?

— Take any conflict, the USA, the UK, and the EU intervene, claiming that human rights are being grossly violated <...>. In Ukraine, they never talk about "human rights" because they see that these very human rights for the Russian and Russian-speaking population are completely prohibited by law.

— Westerners are fighting to maintain their hegemony in the world, in any country, region, on any continent. We are fighting for our legitimate security interests. <...> They are fighting for a regime that is ready to sell or give away all natural and human resources to the West. We are fighting for the people living in these lands, whose ancestors have developed them for centuries, built cities and factories.

— Historically, the USA in foreign policy has sought to create some problems and then see if they can "catch fish in troubled waters": Iraqi aggression, the Libyan "adventure," or, in essence, the destruction of a state, the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

— In eastern Syria, the Americans are "feeding" some Kurdish separatists, using profits from the sale of oil and grain – resources they are exploiting.

— The North Atlantic Alliance, at least under the Biden Administration, is eyeing the entire Eurasian continent. These "Indo-Pacific strategies," the South China Sea, and the East China Sea are already included in NATO's "agenda."

— The Americans say they cannot allow Russia to win in Ukraine because it would undermine the "rules-based order," which is American dominance.

⚠️ As for the USA, we do not want war with anyone. <...>

⚠️ Talks about limited nuclear strikes are an invitation to a catastrophe that we do not want.

😍 Eagle's Shelf

⛰️ The Eagle's Shelf is a ledge on Lenin's Rock, over which a second rock hangs.

This amazing place is located 300 meters above the village of Mezmay in the Krasnodar Krai.

🦅 The place got its name because of the eagles that used to nest here.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Tucker Carlson about Ukraine

💬 It is absolutely pointless to claim that the people who came to power as a result of the military coup in February 2014 represented the Crimeans or the residents of eastern and southern Ukraine.

Crimeans rejected the coup. They demanded to be left alone. They stated that they wanted nothing to do with these people. The same was true for Donbas. Crimeans held a referendum and joined Russia. Donbas was declared terrorists by the coup-installed authorities. They were shelled and attacked with artillery. A war began, which was stopped in February 2015.

✍️ The Minsk agreements were signed. We were genuinely interested in ending this, but it was necessary for the Minsk agreements to be fully implemented. However, they were sabotaged by the government that was established after the coup in Ukraine. It was agreed that this government should engage in direct dialogue with the people who did not accept the coup and foster the development of economic relations with that part of Ukraine.

👎 None of this was done. The Kyiv regime stated that it would never speak to them directly. This despite the fact that the demand to speak to them directly was approved by the UN Security Council. The Kyiv regime labeled them as terrorists, claiming they would fight them because they were stronger, while those would die in cellars.

📌 If it weren't for the coup in February 2014 and if the agreement reached the day before between then-President Poroshenko and the opposition had been implemented, Ukraine would still be united, and Crimea would be part of it. This is obvious.

⚠️ They did not fulfill this agreement. Instead, they organized a coup.

🍊🎄Why are tangerines one of the symbols of New Year in Russia?

Due to the climatic conditions, tangerines cannot be grown in most of Russia, and transporting them from abroad was both expensive and time-consuming at first.

⛔️In the 1890s, the first tangerine plantations appeared in Abkhazia. The delivery time for the fruits decreased, and soon wealthy families began decorating their Christmas trees with tangerines wrapped in gold or silver foil.

However, until the mid-20th century, tangerines remained a luxury.

🇲🇦It wasn't until 1963 that the first batch of tangerines arrived in the USSR from Morocco. After that, African citrus fruits began to be delivered regularly, arriving in the Soviet Union just in time for the New Year holidays. In winter, they were almost the only fresh fruits that could be served at the festive table.

Today, the average Russian consumes 6 kg of tangerines per year, which is about half a kilogram per month.

🍴During the New Year holidays, Russians consume twice as much—one kilogram per person.
