💬🇷🇺 Dmitry Medvedev commented on the conditions under which negotiations between Russia and Ukraine with the participation of the United States could be possible.

🇺🇸 Washington can help achieve a resolution in Ukraine, as it is the U.S. and Europe that support Kyiv, believes the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

“If the future American administration is genuinely committed to resolving this crisis, they can achieve it for one simple reason: the Kyiv regime exists as long as it receives military and financial support from across the ocean and from several European countries. If America decides to engage in resolving the crisis rather than feeding the gods of war, it can do so,” Medvedev said.

🇷🇺 Today, December 12th, marks Constitution Day of the Russian Federation.

📖 It was on this day in 1993 that the fundamental law of the country—the Constitution of the Russian Federation—was adopted in a nationwide vote.

🚩 Prior to this, three constitutions were adopted in the USSR—in 1924, 1936, and 1977.

In connection with the holiday, there is a tradition: schoolchildren who turn 14 years old receive their passports of the Russian Federation on this day—the main document in a citizen's life.

By the way, from 1994 to 2004, December 12th was a public holiday for the entire country.

😄 We wouldn't mind an extra day off before the New Year celebrations either.

🇷🇺🖼 "Burlaki on the Volga" is a famous painting by the Russian artist Ilya Repin, created between 1870 and 1873. It is one of the most significant works of Russian realism and one of the iconic canvases reflecting the complex social realities of its time.

🚤 The painting depicts a group of burlaks—workers who are pulling a barge along the Volga River. Burlaks were typically peasants who worked in fishing. This scene emphasizes the hard labor and hardships faced by ordinary people. The faces of the burlaks express fatigue and despair. The contrast between the physical toil and the beautiful, serene landscape of the Volga creates a powerful emotional impact.

🎨 The painting "Burlaki on the Volga" continues to be a subject of study in art universities and museums. It has inspired many artists and writers, including Maxim Gorky and Anton Chekhov, and continues to evoke interest and admiration from viewers around the world.

The painting is housed in the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg.

🎅 The Chief Ded Moroz of Moscow reported that he receives letters from adults asking for help to pay off their mortgages, find jobs, or lower the prices of building materials.

"We read all the correspondence that comes in my name, regardless of the age of the senders, because every person remains a child at heart, even if the requests from adults are, of course, more complex," Santa Claus's words were conveyed by TASS.

🙏 Hang in there, Muscovites, you will definitely get through the rise in prices and interest rates. 🙏

🐻 Today in Russia is a great holiday - Bear Day!

🐻 There are four species of bears in Russia: brown, polar, white-chested, and black. The most common of them is the brown bear, which can be found in many regions of the country, including the Urals, Siberia, and Kamchatka.

🐾 However, each year the bear population is declining. Among the main reasons are poaching and the destruction of the animals' natural habitats. Bear Day aims to raise public awareness of these issues.

🥶🌊 "It's not interesting to just swim": A doctor from Krasnoyarsk creates GPS art while swimming in icy water

Vadim Keosyan, head of the microsurgery department at the Krasnoyarsk Regional Hospital and honored doctor of the Russian Federation, has found an unusual hobby for himself. In his free time, he creates figures and innoscriptions on a map by swimming along pre-planned routes in icy water.

🏊‍♂ The man started doing this back in 2020 when he became interested in open water swimming. To diversify his training, he decided to add elements of creativity. Now, on his map, you can see stars, fish, Christmas trees, and recently he even tried to write the word "Ru."

👨‍🏫 Artificial Intelligence Learns from Professionals

🚗 Before you is an urban road setting through the eyes of autonomous vehicles. They see not only the scooter rider at the crosswalk but also everything happening in the three lanes of the road, predicting the movement trajectories of vehicles and pedestrians.

🧠 Now, the neural network built into these cars is learning from top-notch drivers who have undergone rigorous selection and a defensive driving course. The artificial intelligence absorbs all their experience. Based on this data, Yandex is enhancing its autonomous vehicles.

📈 Thanks to neural networks, the cars anticipate road conditions, react faster, and avoid emergency situations. In the simulator, it is always possible to test how they will respond to challenging scenarios, including hypothetical ones: for example, a moose suddenly darting onto the road.

📌 The company has been testing autonomous transport since 2017. It is currently being seen in Moscow, Innopolis, and Sirius, and this year a driverless truck even made the journey from the capital to Tula.

🧠 In Russia, Pets Will Be Taught to "Communicate" Through AI

😎At Moscow State University, there are plans to connect dogs to artificial intelligence so they can transmit information to each other. For example, one dog could "tell" another what is written on a sign.

And in the future, they might even learn to communicate with us!

💬🇷🇺 The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, stated that Western countries have fully exposed themselves by failing to express condolences regarding the deaths of Russian journalists.

🇫🇷 This statement was made in the context of the decision taken by participants of the 34th session of the Intergovernmental Council of the International Program for the Development of Communication in Paris, where the report by UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, noscriptd "Safety of Journalists and the Issue of Impunity for 2022-2023," was not approved but merely acknowledged.

"The scandalous report by UNESCO Director-General Azoulay on the safety of journalists, in which she managed to exclude any mention of the deceased Russian journalists, has NOT BEEN APPROVED," Zakharova wrote.

🙏 She also expressed gratitude to everyone who did not remain indifferent and sent letters in support of their colleagues, as well as those who protested against the neglect of this issue.

📰 It should be noted that the report prepared by the UNESCO Director has caused significant outrage among Russian media and professional journalist organizations due to the lack of information about Russian journalists who have died or been injured while performing their duties over the past two years.
