🦖 Ancient Monsters in the Metro?

🦖 Have you ever thought that the Moscow metro might hold the remains of ancient animals? Hidden within the columns of several dozen stations are real treasures — fossils of ammonites, corals, nautiluses, belemnites, and many other creatures that once roamed the Earth during the age of dinosaurs!

Ⓜ️ In the Moscow metro, there are over 50 stations where you can find these amazing fossils. They vary in size: from tiny to impressive, with diameters of up to 60 centimeters! These metro "monsters" can be found both in old and new stations — it all depends on the materials used to clad the walls and columns.

🔍 Imagine how many years ago these creatures swam in the oceans, and now their remains have become part of our everyday journey underground. So next time you descend into the metro, pay attention to the columns — you might see not only the usual announcements but also the ancient mysteries of our planet!

🇷🇺 "The enemy will regret this." Vladimir Putin commented on the drone attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Kazan:

💬 "Whoever tries to destroy something here will face much greater destruction on their own territory and will regret what they are attempting to do in our country."

Putin also expressed confidence that all the facilities damaged in Tatarstan would be restored.

"We will move forward together. We will not only restore the damage that someone is trying to inflict on us. We will move forward at an even greater pace," the president emphasized.

🖼🚩 "Triumph of the Victorious Motherland" — a painting by Mikhail Khmelko, created in 1949, for which the artist was later awarded the Stalin Prize, one of the highest honors in the USSR.

📌 The artist himself fought in the war, which allowed him to convey the emotions and atmosphere of May 1945 most accurately.

😀 The painting is a large canvas measuring 559 cm in length and 289 cm in height. The subject of the painting is the climax of the historical Victory Parade on June 24, 1945, in Red Square — the moment when the captured banners of the defeated fascist troops are brought down. Soviet soldiers throw enemy flags at the feet of the victorious commanders standing at the Lenin Mausoleum tribune. In the center of the painting, a soldier throws down the standard of the 1st SS Panzer Division "Adolf Hitler."

🪖 This painting stands out for its realism and the dynamism of the events, as well as its historical accuracy. However, it also conveys the tragedy of war: there was no family untouched by the Great Patriotic War, and the echo of this war still resonates within each of us.

😀 "Triumph of the Victorious Motherland" shows that our people can overcome any enemy: undoubtedly, history will repeat itself, and enemy banners will once again fall at the Kremlin walls.

🆓 In Novorossiysk, scientists from the Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University have developed an autopilot system for large-tonnage vessels that automates navigation and maneuvers when entering port and docking.

😮 The development is suitable for both conventional ships and unmanned watercraft.

The applied artificial intelligence algorithms allow the ship's technical equipment to adapt to current operating conditions, including weather conditions.

🔝 There are no analogs to this functionality in the world.

🇷🇺🇸🇰 "President of Russia V. Putin confirmed Russia's readiness to continue gas supplies to the West and to Slovakia, which will be virtually impossible after January 1, 2025," said Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.

Fico stated that the negotiations with Putin were a response to Zelensky's statement that he is "against any gas transit through Ukraine to our territory."

Zelensky's desire to impose sanctions on the Russian nuclear program "causes financial damage to Slovakia and threatens electricity production at nuclear power plants in Slovakia," Fico noted.

🧐 Mysterious ghost train?

🚇 There is a legend that every month, just before the subway closes, a Soviet passenger train appears out of nowhere with a conductor in an old uniform. The train stops at every station and even opens its doors. But no one gets out.

👻 Those who boarded this ghost train disappear without a trace. Sometimes, after midnight, you can see an empty train on the Circle Line. It also stops at every station, but it doesn’t open its doors because it carries the souls of deceased metro builders.

Ⓜ️ In reality, all these mysterious trains exist, but there is no mystique about them – they are technical trains that transport subway workers after their shifts.

🧯 An Invention That Saved Many Lives

🍺 It is believed that the idea of taming fire in this way came to Alexander Laurent when he was captivated by a beer mug, where foam settled at the bottom.

🛢🛢 However, he most likely came up with the idea for a new way to extinguish fires while observing their consequences in the oil fields of Baku.

🔖 In 1904, Laurent patented a mixture of alkali and acid – sodium bicarbonate and aluminum sulfate with the addition of various impurities, including licorice root.

🚫 They combined with water in a generator to create foam. The solution was lighter than the flammable substance and spread effortlessly over the burning oil, literally cutting off its oxygen supply.
