📰 On December 23, 2024, at 13:50 Moscow time, the Russian cargo ship "Ursa Major" became a victim of a terrorist attack in the Mediterranean Sea. According to crew members, three consecutive explosions occurred on the starboard side of the vessel near the stern, leading to a sharp list to the right of up to 25 degrees.

🚨 A distress signal was sent when the ship was 57 miles off the coast of Almería. There were 16 crew members on board the "Ursa Major." According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, 14 of them were successfully rescued and taken to the port of Cartagena, while two sailors are reported missing.

🏗 The cargo ship, which was en route from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, was carrying port cranes for a terminal in Vladivostok as part of the development of the Northern Sea Route. At the time of the incident, the "Ursa Major" was heading east through the Strait of Gibraltar.
