🇷🇺 In St. Petersburg, the rostral columns were illuminated in honor of the Day of the Leningrad Siege Breakthrough.

💐 Additionally, city authorities laid flowers at the Monument to the Heroic Defenders of Leningrad. Also, 1,600 activists from the "Volunteer Battalion" and the "Governor's Team" stretched a 300-meter-long George Ribbon in Victory Park.

📆 On this day in 1943, Soviet troops broke the siege surrounding Leningrad during Operation "Spark." This allowed for the creation of a land corridor and the establishment of a railway line. By February, all essential supplies for the city's residents were delivered by train.

🪄 Belorusskaya: The Magic of Partisans!

🇧🇾 The "Belorusskaya-Kolcevaya" metro station is not just a transport hub of the Moscow metro, but a true cultural gem that opened in 1952. It features a sculpture dedicated to Belarusian partisans, created by the talented masters Orlov, Rabinovich, and Slonim.

But besides its historical significance, "Belorusskaya" has its own special superstitions that attract the attention of both locals and tourists. The trio of partisans is considered the patron of all those embarking on journeys, whether for leisure or business.

💖 For girls dreaming of romantic adventures, there is an interesting ritual: it is said that rubbing the barrel of the young partisan's gun helps attract the attention of men and leads to holiday romances!

💪 And for young men, there is their own superstition — they are advised to rub the gun of the girl. This is believed to bring luck in love affairs and help forge interesting connections.

🛬 Additionally, many newcomers to the capital enjoy "shaking hands" with the elderly sitting partisan. It is said that this brings good fortune in business and helps establish important connections.

😀 In the Russian city of Ulan-Ude, there is the largest head of V. I. Lenin. This monumental sculpture weighs 42 tons, and its height, including the pedestal, reaches 14 meters.

📆 The creation began in 1970 and was completed in 1971 to commemorate the centenary of V. I. Lenin's birth. Previously, there were three smaller monuments to the leader in Ulan-Ude, so it was decided to replace them with one large monument.

Notably, to prevent natural corrosion of the bronze, the Lenin monument was treated with a special solution.

💪 An amazing feature of the gigantic head of Vladimir Ilyich is that it is not attached to the pedestal in any way; it stands solely due to gravitational forces.

👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 Today, the large head of Lenin in Ulan-Ude is an unchanging meeting place for lovers and visitors.

🇷🇺 Tonight, Epiphany bathing has begun across Russia.

✝️ This is a festive tradition of Orthodox believers, associated with one of the main religious dates - the Baptism of Christ.

💪 Even in Yakutsk, where the temperature dropped to -40 degrees, the head of the region, along with other residents, did not fear the frost and went to the bathing sites to cleanse themselves of all that is bad and recharge their strength.
