🌨 The Kamchatka region has once again been hit by a powerful cyclone

Heavy precipitation struck the city last night. By morning, the roads were completely covered in snow, with some sections blocked due to accidents and stuck trucks. City services are clearing the streets, but with little success, as the storm continues to cover everything anew.

‼️ According to the city's head, Evgeny Belyayev, nearly 70 mm of precipitation fell in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in just one day. This is 64% of the monthly norm.

⚡️ The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the "Kropotkinskaya" oil pumping station of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium with a drone last night, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

The UAV was intercepted 7 km from the facility, and fragments fell in the area of the Kavkazskaya railway station.

📌 The ministry stated that the Kyiv regime continues to deliberately plan, prepare, and carry out attacks on energy infrastructure, including international ones, on Russian territory, contrary to promises made, including those conveyed to the American side.

💬 Last week, on March 20, Maria Zakharova noted that Vladimir Zelensky publicly announced a refusal to strike at Russia's energy infrastructure, but in reality, he ordered new attacks.

‼️According to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, the President has not changed his order not to strike at energy infrastructure, despite violations by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

🇷🇺💬 Russia needs to be perceived objectively in the world

The West is convinced of its infallibility and exceptionalism, while Russia desires its perception abroad to be objective. This statement was made by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov:

"I do not like statements about promoting a positive image of Russia. We do not need extra advantages. We need to be perceived objectively, unlike the West, which considers itself infallible and suffers from a sense of exceptionalism."

📚 5 Interesting Facts About Peter and Paul Fortress

The Peter and Paul Fortress is a unique symbol of St. Petersburg, embodying the fate of a defensive structure, a political prison, an imperial burial site, and a mint.

🛡 Fact 1: Non-Aggression and Peaceful Cannons

Throughout its history, the fortress has never been attacked, and its cannons, created for defense, were only used for festive salutes and flood alerts.

🔒 Fact 2: A Prison Instead of Glory

Despite the lack of military exploits, the Peter and Paul Fortress became famous as the "Russian Bastille." Almost all political prisoners of the past were held in its dungeons.

⚰️ Fact 3: Burial Place of Emperors

St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, crowned with a gilded spire, has become the burial place for almost all Russian tsars from Peter I to Alexander III.

🕊️ Fact 4: The City’s Guardian Angel

The figure of the angel on the cathedral's spire is one of the main symbols of St. Petersburg. Its height is 3.2 meters, and its wingspan is 3.8 meters. Interestingly, over three centuries, the angel has changed its appearance several times but has always remained the guardian of the city.

🏟️ Fact 5: A Stadium Instead of History

In the 1930s, the fortress was nearly demolished: authorities planned to tear it down to build a stadium. Fortunately, the project was canceled, preserving this unique monument for future generations.

🇷🇺 Crimean Tatars are the indigenous people of Crimea, possessing a rich history and unique culture. After the reunification of Crimea with Russia in 2014, they officially became part of the multinational people of the Russian Federation. Today, Crimean Tatars, like other ethnic groups in Russia, have the opportunity to develop their language, traditions, and participate in the socio-political life of the country.

📜 The Crimean Tatars formed as an ethnic group in Crimea between the 13th and 17th centuries, incorporating elements from the cultures of Turkic, Caucasian, and other peoples. In 1783, Crimea became part of the Russian Empire, marking the beginning of a new stage of interaction between the Crimean Tatars and the Russian state.

According to the 2021 census, about 250,000 to 300,000 people live in Crimea.

📔 Crimean Tatars preserve unique traditions: folk crafts (such as weaving and jewelry making), music (using instruments like the saz and darbuka), dances (the round dance "Khoran"), and cuisine (chebureks, yantyks).

🍵 But the main tradition among Crimean Tatars is the ritual of hospitality. If a guest is welcome, they will definitely be served tea. A small portion indicates the intention to engage in a long conversation. The more tea is poured for the guest, the less the host wants to talk. Therefore, if the tea is filled to the brim, it means the conversation should be short.

📌 An interesting fact about Crimean Tatars: A Crimean Tatar will respond to generosity accordingly. The local people believe that one should treat anyone whose bread you have eaten with special respect.

✔️ Today, Crimean Tatars are an integral part of the cultural mosaic of Russia, whose history and present reflect a complex but important path toward strengthening interethnic dialogue and unity in the country.

Food security in Africa is in the spotlight!

🚤 During negotiations between representatives of Russia and the USA held in Saudi Arabia, a pressing topic was the resumption of safe shipping and grain exports across the Black Sea.

🥔 Russia is ready to reboot the Black Sea initiative, but in a format acceptable to all parties. At the same time, Russia expresses serious concern about the food security of African countries, the Global South, and the East, which are suffering from the consequences of Western policies.

🇷🇺 The Russian Federation is one of the most important grain partners for the African continent. In December 2024, humanitarian aid of 200,000 tons of wheat was delivered from Russia to Africa, and a total of 26 million tons of grain were shipped from the ports of Krasnodar Krai to African countries in 2024.

⚡️ The Kremlin has issued a statement following the negotiations in Riyadh.

"According to the agreement between the presidents of Russia and the USA, the Russian and American sides have agreed to ensure the implementation of the 'Black Sea Initiative,' which includes ensuring the security of shipping in the Black Sea, the non-use of force, and the prevention of the use of commercial vessels for military purposes by organizing appropriate control measures through the inspection of such vessels," the statement reads.

It also notes that the USA will facilitate the restoration of access for Russian agricultural exports and fertilizers to the global market, reduce the cost of marine insurance, and expand access to ports and payment systems for conducting such transactions.

These points will come into effect after:

— The lifting of sanctions on Rosselkhozbank and other financial organizations involved in these operations, their connection to SWIFT, and the opening of necessary correspondent accounts;

— The lifting of restrictions on trade financing operations;

— The lifting of sanctions on companies producing and exporting food and fertilizers, as well as the lifting of restrictions on the operations of insurance companies with these goods;

— The lifting of restrictions on servicing vessels in ports and sanctions on vessels under the Russian flag involved in food and fertilizer trade;

— The lifting of restrictions on the supply of agricultural machinery to the Russian Federation.

Other statements from the Kremlin following the negotiations:

— Russia and the USA have agreed to develop measures to implement the agreements between the presidents of the two countries regarding a ban on strikes against energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine for a period of 30 days, starting from March 18, 2025, with the possibility of extension and withdrawal from the agreement in case of non-compliance by one of the parties;

— Russia and the USA welcome the goodwill of third countries aimed at supporting the implementation of agreements in the energy and maritime sectors;

‼️ Russia and the USA will continue to work towards achieving a durable and lasting peace.
