🇷🇺💬 Russia views the formation of the Alliance of Sahel States as an effort to create a new security architecture in the region. This was stated by Sergey Lavrov during a press conference following the meeting of foreign ministers of Russia and the "Sahel Three" in Moscow.

‼️ The Russian Foreign Minister emphasized that Kyiv is attempting to destabilize Africa by openly supporting terrorists in the Sahel.

🤝 Russia will assist the Alliance of Sahel States in building capacity and enhancing combat readiness, Lavrov announced.

The Alliance of Sahel States includes Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali. The bloc was established in September 2023 to ensure the collective defense of the three nations.

🇷🇺 A shashlik embargo has been proposed in Russia ahead of the May holidays.

The State Duma has suggested temporarily restricting pork and poultry exports and introducing duty-free import quotas until June 1.

Outings to nature and cooking shashlik have become a cherished tradition for Russians during the May holidays, whether at their dacha or in a park.

📈 Unsurprisingly, demand—and with it, meat prices—skyrockets exponentially during this season.

The initiative aims to stabilize the market and keep prices affordable.

What do you think of this idea?

🇷🇺💬 Attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) demonstrate that Ukraine is not seeking a ceasefire, stated Maria Zakharova.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, it has been reliably established that Ukrainian military personnel are daily hunting civilians using drones.

Zakharova noted that "Zelensky's bandits mercilessly open fire on women, the elderly, and children," as well as residential buildings, social facilities, and transport infrastructure.

From March 24 to 30 alone, 118 civilians were affected by attacks: 14 civilians were killed and 104 were injured, including 3 minors.

"All these facts indicate that the Kyiv junta’s plans do not include a ceasefire or achieving a political settlement of the conflict. The Zelensky regime has no political will for peace," emphasized the Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

🇷🇺🎵 A Bashkir-language song storms into global charts

The track Homay by Ufa-based band Ay Yola in the Bashkir language has surpassed Lady Gaga’s hit in the global chart of music service Shazam.

🔝 The Bashkir song claimed 7th place in the worldwide ranking, while Lady Gaga’s *Abracadabra* sits at 9th in the Top 200.

🇷🇺 500 cars ended up on the Magadanka River in Gertner Bay as ice breakup began — Magadan City Hall

Active ice divergence in Gertner Bay caused an ice floe with cars to break away. The owners of two vehicles failed to evacuate their cars from the dangerous ice area in time. According to the city administration’s press service, 28 people in the hazardous situation were rescued from the ice floe.

“At the start of the day, around 500 cars were on the ice. By midday, active ice breakup began. Currently, about 30 cars remain on most of the ice. Despite warnings, many people ignored the alerts. All individuals in danger were rescued, but two cars are being carried into the open sea. The ice continues to crack, and the Magadanka River is flowing into Gertner Bay,” explained Magadan’s city administration.

An EMERCOM helicopter is monitoring the cars drifting on ice floes. Two rescue vehicles and a Sever-750K aero-boat are involved in the operation.
