In the conditions of permafrost and solitude, it was crucial not to lose one’s humanity.

📆 This year marks 30 years since the unique expedition to the North Pole that no one has ever replicated.

🇷🇺🇨🇦 Russian Mikhail Malakhov and Canadian Richard Weber skied from Canada’s Ward Hunt Island to the North Pole and back, traversing polar ice drifting with ocean currents.

The expedition lasted 123 days: they meticulously calculated their food rations and selected gear to survive the cold and wind.

The Russian was a physician, and the Canadian was an engineer—this combination of professions also contributed to their success.

💪 They journeyed alone, without air support, dog sleds, phones, or communication, relying solely on mental fortitude and physical endurance… and achieved a true feat of heroism.

🐴 The Mischievous Stallion in Gorno-Altaysk

A stallion wandered the streets and nudged a woman with his nose at a traffic light. She was utterly shocked when she saw the stallion.

But the troublemaker didn’t stop there—he crossed the road away from the pedestrian crossing, which, by the way, is a traffic violation. Eventually, he was apprehended by traffic police officers.

🇷🇺💬 Contacts on the issue of Ukrainian settlement are taking place under difficult conditions, as the topic remains extremely complex, stated Dmitry Peskov.

He noted that Russia strives for a peaceful resolution of the conflict while considering its national interests and remains open to continuing dialogue.

Other statements from the Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation:

— Despite U.S. threats to withdraw from the Ukrainian conflict settlement process, certain progress can already be noted.

— The month-long moratorium on strikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure has expired, but no new directives from the Russian President on this matter have been issued yet. Russia adhered to it;

— The Kremlin is unaware of any suspension of Raiffeisen’s business sale in Russia; the bank remains in the country and continues to operate.

💵 The price of the most expensive kulich (Easter bread) in Moscow is 100,000 rubles.

The creator of this signature Easter pastry, featuring a dome shape and a "Dubai-inspired" pistachio filling, is renowned designer and restaurateur Denis Simachev.

📈 Interestingly, the initial price was set at 15,000 rubles, then rose to 25,000, and has now skyrocketed to 100,000!

🖥 The reason behind this surge is its viral popularity on social media, particularly among showbiz celebrities. One notable buyer is Philipp Kirkorov, the most iconic artist of Russia’s estrada (pop entertainment scene).
