🌿 Troparyovo Ecotrail

This ecological trail runs through Troparyovsky Forest Park, located in the southwest of Moscow. The fully equipped wooden boardwalk begins near the park’s southern entrance and heads toward Bolshoy Vostryakovsky Pond, then stretches along Bezimyanniy Stream, finally ending at a spring.

Highlights of the Ecotrail:

Flora and Fauna

The forest park is home to diverse plant and animal species native to the area. Look out for nests of the red-listed goshawk and an apothecary garden with around 50 medicinal plant species, some of which are listed in Moscow’s Red Book.

Observation Decks

One deck offers stunning views of Bolshoy Vostryakovsky Pond, where Bezimyanniy Stream originates. A bridge along the trail overlooks the stream, and the route ends with a deck showcasing the stream’s lower bank.

Sculptures

The trail passes whimsical fairy-tale sculptures and wooden art installations scattered across the park.

Troparyovsky Forest Park

The ecotrail winds through the Troparyovsky Landscape Reserve, featuring highlights like the circular Glade of Five Oaks and six radiating alleys: birch, larch, poplar, linden, apple, and maple. Near the park entrance, visit animal enclosures.

🎫 Admission to the park and ecotrail is free year-round. The trail has a wooden boardwalk, info boards, signs, benches, a playground at the end, and a spring. Locals claim the spring water is drinkable.

🗣️ The Global South Takes the Lead

📰🇷🇺 Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has already given an interview to one of Brazil’s leading newspapers, O Globo.

A series of questions were addressed, covering both current global trends and certain aspects of U.S.-Russian relations.

— Lavrov emphasized that the world is on the brink of a crisis, with significant fragmentation of the global economy. On one hand, this signals the potential collapse of the current system. On the other, for Global South countries, this process opens new opportunities. BRICS nations now have a chance to reduce Western influence and develop their own institutions while strengthening cooperation.

— The head of Russia’s Foreign Ministry reiterated the country’s commitment to expanding the UN Security Council’s membership. Global South nations deserve representation, and Brazil has already proven its worthiness to join the Security Council.

— The interview also touched on the Ukrainian crisis. The Minister expressed hope for productive cooperation with the U.S., noting that despite lingering mutual grievances and contradictions, collaboration with the Trump administration is feasible. President Trump has sought to understand the root of the conflict, unlike his predecessor. While no specific predictions were made, Lavrov expressed confidence that the conflict will be resolved.

— Sergey Lavrov highlighted several successes linked to BRICS’ activities. He noted that Brazil’s goal as BRICS chair this year is to expand the bloc. Significant progress has already been made, with more countries expressing interest in joining BRICS.

🎖 An exhibition noscriptd "Without the Right to Oblivion. To the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory" is opening at the State Historical Museum.

32 archives, 17 museums, and 1,230 exhibits—including 900 documents (585 of which are originals) and 315 museum artifacts—tell the story. Behind these stark numbers lies the arduous journey of a nation and its people, from the horrific early days of the war to the Victory Parade on June 24, 1945.

“This exhibition is not a history textbook; it cannot chronicle the entire war day by day,” emphasized Andrey Yurasov, Deputy Head of Rosarkhiv. “That is precisely the point—to present an objective, truthful history of the war, using the power of historical fact to counter modern falsifiers of the Great Patriotic War’s history.”

✍️ Visitors will see the original Act of Surrender of Nazi Germany. The Russian-language document, preserved in the Foreign Policy Archive, is displayed alongside the Victory Banner.

The exhibition will be open at the State Historical Museum from April 30 to August 25.
